Everton are keeping tabs on Vitesse Arnhem's Wilfried Bony. Newcastle have offered a bid of £12M for him. But it's all going a bit mental there, as they try to emotionally torture Pardew into resigning.

One advantage to Martinez is that he obviously looked at our team before fa qtr final and spotted our weaknesses which Moyes could not see for whatever reasons?

So rm knows where to strengthen and a few players might be moving on at some point.

Wigan and McCarthy battered us in centre midfield for one and came out of the blocks faster than some of our strollers who expected to win easily and got a shock.

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Agreed, good point he also apparentley told bk tactics used to beat city in fa cup final

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair he didn't spot the weaknesses in them league games. One win against us doesn't make him a genius.

As long as he doesn't change too much and just adds depth to the squad then we should have a good season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our advantage is that in reality we have a good basis of players. What we need is to build on that not talk or consider selling players. Are you listening Mr Billy "liar"

Agree0 Disagree0

The league games? They played us off the park in both league games. It would have been unfair for them to draw against us never mind lose at Goodison. We weren’t too convincing at the DW either.

10 people think your a liar and I can confirm I am one of them

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not fickle and I keep an open mind, but I would seriously doubt Martinez if we got this one. He is distustingly poor. I very much doubt that we would even look in his direction!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2013 16:55:43
How can you confirm this

Agree0 Disagree0

anyone else get the impression that we are skint beyond belief

Believable16 Unbelievable14

I know where your coming from with this, but it just seems to be Evertons way at the start of every season in every transfer window we seem to be at the back of the queue surely its best to get in early get your shopping done and integrate new signings asap so as to start the season all singing from the same hymn sheet

Agree0 Disagree0

Because we r always waiting 4 the sky money b4 we can really spend

Agree0 Disagree0

Transfer window doesn't open til the 1st of july, neither does martinez's job start til 1st july, he hasn't even met the players! just because we haven't agreed terms with anyone already does not mean we are skint

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky money has gone Vibrac Loans Bill has seen to that! We don't have a pot to piss in!
Kenwright is a malignant tumour on this club eating away at its very core. When he goes I will rejoice. It'll only be then that you'll all see what carnage he has caused!
Dave M

Agree0 Disagree0

Post above^^ is that you Moyes?

Rich84

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave I am with you on this, if we were a west end show old billy boy would find people to invest money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone gets excited with early signings but we should be patient it will be worth the wait, Roberto is still away watching confed cup with a lot if players in their holidays. Chins up and let's get behind Roberto to push us on, nsno

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea roberto is looking to see what we could sighn if we had money, moyes would still be boss if he had a chance to compete in transfer market

Ed, any news on this takeover that was mentioned a few months back? {Ed025's Note - no mike..

Believable5 Unbelievable9

What takeover?

Agree0 Disagree0

Takeover was being mentioned on here a few months back and Kenwright was apparently in talks with investors.

Agree0 Disagree0

There have been multiple talks with multiple interested parties, but increased TV revenue has forced Kenwright's valuation of the club up substantially, and no one is prepared to meet this price, yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2013 21:39:29
Ed, this talk of Alcantara true?
(Excuse spelling. )
GoodisonGeorge {Ed025's Note - he may come to england george, but its likely that united will be his destination mate..

Believable4 Unbelievable7

I'm meant his brother Rafa? {Ed025's Note - united are in for both of them george..

Agree0 Disagree0

This is Rafinha we're talking about ed, not Thiago.

AB1878 {Ed025's Note - i know mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Ed, think mancs will take him to keep family happy. let's face it they have done it before.

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes should let us have him ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah, right. Why would he go to united? wouldn't get a game in their squad under any manager, never mind Moyes, the man who hates youth. Better off developing in the Barca B team or studying under Iniesta and Co. in the senior team.

Looks like we going to get the youngster. From Barcelona. On loan now has reports are suggesting

Believable17 Unbelievable18

Who is he?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rafa Alcantara aka Rafinha. Extremely highly rated youngster.

AB1878

Agree0 Disagree0

Rafinha. Alcantara from Barcelona

Agree0 Disagree0

This isent a rumour theses defintely talk about it out of 10 I think we have a 8 chance of taking him on loan has he has family all ready in the northwest

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is anything like his brother, he will be a great signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there a chance of signing him on a permanent deal after any loan deal?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we have a great chance landing this player

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently he is rated than his brother, let's hope so!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed any chance of a permanent deal if the loan works out? {Ed025's Note - it would depend on how he does mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

What position does he play? {Ed025's Note - attacking midfield..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it be a loan deal

Agree0 Disagree0

It be a permanent deal after the loan deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think we'll be able to get him Ed? {Ed025's Note - im not sure mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

It's looking promising te loan deal for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Imagine him and Barkley playing together mouth watering

Agree0 Disagree0

It has to be a deal with a view to a permanent we have are own youngsters to develop

MikeDeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

They won't be willing to let him go at the end of any deal. As someone else said, he is rated higher than his brother who was universally regarded as the heir to xavi till he got inpatient. We would be a development step for him.

AB1878

Agree0 Disagree0

Will go to Man U with his brother.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't get too excited as we've only been linked with him. Signing him is a completely different matter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Knowing our luck we won't get him because of kewright is killing our club

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2013 17:26:34
Looking more and more likely Mcgeady will be on his way to us have you heard anything about this ed from any source. {Ed025's Note - no stef, not on my radar mate..

Believable11 Unbelievable11

As far as I can tell it's nothing more than unsubstantiated fluff from lazy journos. They're merely putting 2 and 2 together and hoping the sum total will be 4.

Strong rumour over hear in Ireland that Coleman is bound for Old Trafford can't see it myself but £9m is the figure.

Believable9 Unbelievable31

Coleman is going nowhere and I ask you to trust me on this 1 100per cent fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

90mill, seems a little expensive, but a great player. However, back in the real world, not a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2013 17:40:14
I'm in Ireland and I haven't heard that rumour anywhere. where have you heard it

Agree0 Disagree0

I will drive him there myself {Ede eit025's Note - you my friend...are either a red...or a pot herb!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha like it ed

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard this to from a manc mate in work last week, the stories doing the rounds up there, hope its nonesense

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry eds but football is a game of opinions, so if you don't agree with you. Your either a red or a pot herb. I know plenty of people who go the game and say he is a headless chicken. i'm not on my own with this one {Ed025's Note - its just so out there mate..he was great last season, and is very well thought of at the club..

Agree0 Disagree0

What month did we play Arsenal away? As that was the game it seemed to turn around for Coleman. He was completely useless, a bit of a headless chicken with mistake after mistake, yet he performed well at The Emirates and went from there.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman is one of the best up and coming right backs in the prem and when I travel to Goodison all I hear is good things from fans about him another year or two he will be worth at least 20 mill.

Agree0 Disagree0

9mil will get his left leg and he will only get better.

Agree0 Disagree0

You would drive him there, are best player the last 6 months you are deluded

MikeDeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman our best player last 6 months? {Ed025's Note - certainly one of them..

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman was a top flight player last season and no mistake. He was man of the match for Republic of Ireland vs England and demonstrated the swashbuckling commitment he consistently shows on the pitch at Everton. I think he's more than earned his place. A truly worthy young player we'd be really sorry to lose {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest england are no bench mark

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought he signed a new deal a few months ago? Based on his perforrmances last season I can understand Moyes wanting him at united, but we would have to be insane to let him go!

Agree0 Disagree0

Very true. It was 'only England', but a good performance is a good performance. Coleman was the best player on the pitch by far and has shown this regularly in a blue shirt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Going forward, always good, but last term,. showed how well he has become as a defender. Don't want to see him go, but if he did leave, would want a lot more than 9mill.

Agree0 Disagree0

There weren't many better rightbacks than coleman in the premier league last season, infact the only ones I can think of are rafael, walker and zabaletta

24 Jun 2013 16:44:57
McGeady?. I honestly do not see where he fits in our side. anyone? He is a decent player but no more than that really. Surely Martinez will address the need for a forward and cm first!

Believable10 Unbelievable2

I don't honestly don't understand Everton fans sometimes as the one thing we have lacked over the years is pace, and this fella has got plenty of that and with him on one side and Mirallis on the other I see no negatives especially at only £4m when his market value is closer to £10m

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a very fast and agile player, great at making runs through a defence and battling into the box. Not a great finisher though. Say what you like about him, but Jelavic is a great finisher on his day. Maybe the plan is to provide for him, since he got very little service last season, as the lone striker. Martinez is surely going to think about how to improve what he's got already. I reckon McGeady should be considered.

Can anyone please tell me why McGeady is suddenly being referred to as McGreedy? Has he made outrageous wages demands or something?
Domo

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Because we have some person fans mate

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate, not because we have some 'person' fans, it's because he doesn't release the ball when it's in the best interests of his team-mates, who are in better position

dont want him

Big rumours that Everton are looking to activate Arouna Kone £5 million release clause as early as tonight.

Norwich also considering activating it.

Dixie 1878

Believable6 Unbelievable11

Why are we having to set our sights on poor strikers who could not keep wigan in the perm. come on guys let's have some better rumours than this.

Agree0 Disagree0

We as fans unfortunately don't get to decide who we will sign we cam only post what we here. I'm not going to post saying we are going to buy a £25 million striker which would be a blatant lie. I can only post what RUMOURS I hear.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sweeping statement to suggest that because Wigan went down he is a poor striker. Shows a lack of football knowledge, which is probably why we should leave it to the professionals to decide.

Agree0 Disagree0

His clause is actually 6.5 million although for 5 million I will drop him off myself. Awful first touch, poor in the air, no left foot and one paced.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with previous post. Wigan went down because they had a woeful defence kones goals gave them hope for a little bit longer

Agree0 Disagree0

Seedy, with the greatest respect, I saw Kone in around 40 games last season as i'm a Wigan fan. If you have aspirations of remaining in the top six this guy doesn't fit the bill, trust me.

A friend that lives in Italy says the press there reporting Mathieu Flamini who is a free agent is deciding between a new contract from ac Milan where he has not been getting a game and a contract from The mighty Everton! He is still only 29 so I think worth a go on a free.

Stu {Ed025's Note - good player stu..

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Would love this to be true. combative, busy midfielder! much required!

Agree0 Disagree0

I did actually post that I think we should get him about 11 days ago! wonder if there's an Italian Bigmac out there? {Ed025's Note - yes..his name is ronaldo MCdonaldo.. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Is he any good ED? I say sign the fella up might get a decent half time burger at the match if nothing else. Best rumor yet ed!

Honda will sign for AC Milan!
mcgeedy talks are wide of the mark also.

We won't have anyone in till the 2nd week in July

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Fox. Have you ever posted anything that turned out right?

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda wants to come to the Premier League, can't see him joining Milan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike he said he does but I guarantee if Milan offer him big wages well then I think he will go there, look what happened with Rooney he said he loved Everton and still claims to he said he left to win trophies but we all know the real reason was money, it is sad but that is the way the game is these days.

Agree0 Disagree0

What old crock

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2013 17:01:34

Everton look set to take poll place in the race to sign Honda!
Roberto Martinez is also looking to battle with Liverpool for Diego Capel. Free Agent Yossi Benayoun is also being linked with the club. Defender Manga is also close to agreeing terms he will be a replacement for the leaving Heitinga. Martinez Is also looking at bringing in Ross Turnbull on a free to replace Mucha and possibly see Darren Bent at Goodison who is up for sale at just 4m he could take misfiring Jelavic's place up top

Everton set to sign trio Honda. Mcgreedy kone

Believable10 Unbelievable7

I would really be happy with Honda on a free, McGeady would give us more options and be a good squad player. Rather than Kone I would like to see us go all out and spend big on Negredo. Get Manga in for heitinga. Fellaini prob be sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fed up of hearing the same rubbish. It is a bit obvious the press are going to link us with everyone available at the moment. Truth is until players come back to pre training nothing is going to happen. If Fellini wants to leave then their will be more cash, I hope he stays personally. BK is going to give RM some cash but you can guess he will have to sell a few fringe players or Fellini. Hope he is good enough as Moyes is a big loss, he new how to buy cheap and get the best out of hie players.

Hi ed,
Am hearing Dawda Leigh will be our first signing.
It will be on a free, he is Norwegian but of Gambian decent.
Played with Valerenga.
27 years of age. Looks similar to zaha can play on the wing or upfront.
Has represented Norway a few times, and appears to have a distinct dislike of LFC.
Sounds like he may fit in well.

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Let us break free of wanting Wigan players please. They weren't good enough for the prem and not good enough for us, its so maybe too simple to post "rumours" One or so maybe but a 29 year old for a fee with pprevius link wqith us isn't within the clubs current purchase ethos.
