Ed002 hi pal is rk waiting 4 the euros to finish b4 he's signs anyone or is all the rumours right about us getting players like mata.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I don't knoe anything of Mata right now but with the Euros going on and folks being on vacation and Everton looking for a DoF, it is not a surprise.}

25 Jun 2016 02:48:02
We obviously need a new goalkeeper and that should be an immediate priority. I hope that we get in a good DoF quicky and then determine who if any of the players will depart and act accordingly. I also hope that we don't go after aging stars but recruit young players with potential. That presumably is why we want to recruit a DoF. Nothing is urgent right now since I believe Koeman will get more out of the existing squad than Marinez did.

25 Jun 2016 05:09:02
I agree with going for younger players no point signing olders players on big wages one mybe ok but not 2 or 3 like we being linked with but i do think a gk is urgent and they is a lot of work to do we could be about to ofload 1 of our 3 center backs and 3 of our 3 strikers if you read the papers but who knows what goes on in roms head greedy springs to mind.

Agree1 Disagree1

25 Jun 2016 05:41:34
I don't get the impression Lukaku is greedy mate. Badly advised, definitely. I think he's in a rush to add medals to his statistics. But as you say, what goes on in his head, maybe you're right.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2016 08:12:33
It's all well and good buying players with potential but you also need to blend that with experience. Look at Newcastle and their transfer policy, pre Rafa days, for example. They only bought players age 25 or under as they had resale value. It didn't help when they plummeted down the league and, ultimately, into the championship.
There has to be a fine balance between youth and experience for me.

Agree7 Disagree1

25 Jun 2016 09:18:39
we don't need to buy any younger players as we have a great system in place and could field 2 teams of under 23 year olds

we need a class GK,
after last season someone to command our defence,
a cultured midfielder
a quality forward.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Take a look at Tufan and see what you think for the midfield slot.}

25 Jun 2016 08:55:01
But when you buy all french then there is going to be clicks in the dreesing room its not about the age you just need the right type of person.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2016 09:28:56
Ed, is that just a suggestion or is there a chance it could happen?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is certainly interest. Only a year after joining, Fenerbahce's defensive midfield player Ozan Tufan has been attracting the interest of Southampton, Anderlecht, Borussia Dortmund, Everton, Bayern Munich and Sunderland as confirmed by his agent. When at Brsapor there had been a lot of attention from the scouts of a number of major European sides but he made the move to guarantee first team football.}

25 Jun 2016 10:05:05
He looks really good but are we interested or is it more paper bull its hard to work out if we are in for these players or not.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what teh papers have said but his agent and his father have discussed the interest.}

25 Jun 2016 10:09:18
Ed002' is that a bit of a clue there, 😄 or just your preference.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2016 10:50:44
Not another one who's dad talks to the press haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Absolutely.}

25 Jun 2016 18:32:47
Tufan looks good ed002.veloso from dynamo is a free agent as well this year. what's your opinon on him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Veloso is well thought of but has a move elsewhere already agreed so want be a consideration for Everton.}

25 Jun 2016 19:42:01
Cheers ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2016 20:09:36
Tufan looks a great player and at 21 still more to develop and learn! Quite versatile as well from what I have seen playing as a holding midfielder with a great passing range and also right back and right wing!
Any idea on his current value Ed? If what I read is true he only signed last year for €7m but with 4 years left am sure that value will have risen a bit!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - If they are to sell I would expect they will be looking for something nearer €12M.}

24 Jun 2016 13:35:11
Spurs bid turned down for janssen i think we should go all out for this guy.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

24 Jun 2016 15:26:10

24 Jun 2016 15:57:14
Game time.

Agree0 Disagree1

24 Jun 2016 16:16:16
with Lukaku in front of him?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 16:30:37
Wakka you r assuming Rom will stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 16:59:16
He would come to us for several reasons. He could be convinced of our ambitions by the new "owner" and the new manager, but most importantly ALWAYS, money. and playing behind Lukaku, who's going nowhere THIS season ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 17:24:50
Duke your assuming he wont? brian1878 what if the new owners ambitions include Rom? especially if money isn't the issue.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 17:37:29
Don't follow you there Wakka? My post says Roms going nowhere. that would mean the new owners ambitions do indeed include Lukaku. Or did you just miss out a "don't"

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 17:40:57
Most of the stuff on RL is 'clickbait' right now imo ' he stays, he's going, no wait he's going nowhere '?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 18:34:52
Ronald wants to play 2 strikers next season he always plays with 2 strikers janssen is a great option for us and 15m max is cheap if rom is there then he has a lot of making up to do with the fans but if not then we need 2 strikers.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 19:37:01
Ronald "always plays with 2 strikers". Really?

DYOR otherwise you are in for a shock!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 20:00:03
Long and pelle played upfront together for the best of 2 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 21:06:38
Yes he's gone with two upfront last year anyway. Saint.

24 Jun 2016 21:17:51

25 Jun 2016 18:05:54
Pelle and Long up top as a two? Rarely. DYOR.

Pelle with Tadic and Mane, yes, Long with Tadic and Mane, yes.

Just read that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Lukaku? and they think they will get him for between 45-50 million just something I read not sure I'm that bothered either getting a bit bored of him now.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

24 Jun 2016 14:09:32
Getting a little confused as I read they were in for the younger brother not Rom!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 14:11:51
Some Italian journo 'tweeted it'. huge chunk of salt required 😀.

24 Jun 2016 14:15:42
Get rid 50m will do me janssen in.

24 Jun 2016 15:45:20
Wouldn't believe a word that came from the Italian media.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 17:01:01
If he's agreed personal terms with Arsenal the court case against Arsenal should be interesting.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 21:08:06
I don't think Moshiri would sell for that he will try and keep him if not he goes for top dollar Moshiri is a business man at the end of the day so he will get best price possible and for me it's £50m plus it does not matter one bit on how much people thinks he worth, sterling was never worth 50 but that's the price he went for, also don't forget Lukaku is only 22/ 23 so he has 8 years min at top level so when you break down the price per season it's not a lot, I really don't get people who see things black and white another example players bring revenue with them so a player like snijder yes he is 32 best years behind him will be low fee high wages but how many shirts would he sell and he is very marketable so your revenue goes up sponsorships are improved and flip side off that is your wage structure can go up its business look at what mourinho did with his name brand at Chelsea yes it's tac but people buy brands.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 13:24:25
So some Italian thinks rom has agreed tearms with arsenal let's all wait for the bid to come in and knowing arsenal it will be around 15-30m

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Jun 2016 12:33:16
'Substantial bid'been lodged apparently for Kamil Grosicki currently with Rennes.
Dont know much about him but good reason to take more notice of games over weekend (source Inside Futbol)

24 Jun 2016 14:13:52
. not sure how true yet. but he is a good player. will watch with interest.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 16:58:15
Agree he is good player with lots of pace but another right winger if he does come to us then we will have to sell one of right wingers we already have think we should go for ivan perisic on the left wing the lad is class what u think.

Morning all looks like City are going for Stones again I'll be glad when the season starts and all the rumours are over what do you think Ed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have explained that this was likely to happen to you all repeatedly - so it is hardly a shock.}

24 Jun 2016 14:01:39
Time for Moshiri to flex his muscles and demand at least 1 season from the likes of Stones and Lukaku under the new manager. With the cash input and some good early signings we could find ourselves top 4 and they with no need to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 09:16:48
Will brexit effect summer transfer policy. Meaning go for more british players rather than all the dutch players?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - No, not at all.}

24 Jun 2016 10:27:06
Good news glad to hear.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 11:10:02
I admire Ed002's restraint I really do.

Agree0 Disagree3

24 Jun 2016 12:22:46
We are still in Europe for a minimum of two years. Even the Echo agree's with that.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 14:11:44
True however with the weakened pound British players would be cheaper due to the fx rate.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 19:34:36
It won't affect the players here now but it will affect players coming here when we are out of the eu.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It really won't be any big deal and will likely mean no more than additional paperwork. The are a mass of players in England that come from Africa, South America etc. - no big deal if the meet whatever the criteria are.}

24 Jun 2016 21:35:42
It will take years to fully be away from the EU so many negotiations need to happen were stepping into the unknown really even older people who remember before we joined it's was a different world back then, but football won't really change much chances are the EU will fall apart within the next decade uk leaving it is massive there are not many countries with strong economies anymore Germany and us were big players within it EU will definetly get weaker but does not mean we will be any stronger.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2016 23:16:28
Listened to a report on sky how a club owner reported a players value has increased by £3m in the last 24 hours due to the falling pound after brexit!
Most likely west hams Sullivan from that as he does love a good chat to sky and to air his business!
