Do Fernandes and Kalou even want to come to Everton? I don't think Kalou does with the amount of teams chasing him, offering him higher wages and CL footy, as for Fernandes, hasn't he rejected us once or twice already? {Ed025's Note - kalou is on 90k per week....not happening, people are touting manny just because he used to be here, its through hope, rather than substance..

Don't think we'll get £4m for Joe either.

How much money do you think Chung-Yong Lee would cost us? I would love him to play in a royal blue shirt and I would think he would be a reasonably good price for us. Your thoughts ED?

Just heard that jay rodriguez of burnley is joining everton for 4.5m with Ross barkley goin to burnley on loan for the season as part of the deal.

It's not inconceivable that rumour as Barkley needs some regular first team football, and jay rod is in the last year of his contract, so everyone is a winner. {Ed025's Note - i still cant see why ross cant get some game time with us!..

Cheers Joe, its somethin a mate was sayin bout the loan deal but then av seen it a couple of times on the football rumours website aswell. If I was goin to lie, it'd be bout Ronaldo or Messi comin to the blues not a Burnley (No disrespect) striker comin in and an 18 yr old kid leavin for a year on loan.

If Baines were to go, other than Aly Cissokho being mentioned I think Matthew Taylor of West Ham would be an excellent addition to the squad.

He may not be more gifted than Baines as an all round left back (I think he has more often featured as a LM for the Hammers) but his playing style is freakishly similar to our Bainsey (over-lapping, pin point crosses), and he would more than likely have a relatively small transfer fee.

The play off final really cemented my opinion of him, he was excellent. Even though the Baines rumours are 99% likely to be nothing more than RS BS, he would provide excellent back up and very good cometition for Baines aswell.. Nothing more effective than keeping first team players on their toes and the hunger in their bellys.

Kalou been released...maybe a patch up for the right hand side. what you reckon? does he want CL football ed?

not the biggest fan of him to be honest but is better than what we have at the moment. be interesting to hear thoughts as we wouldnt have to pay a fee but fear wages would be a stumbling block perhaps?

He would around £70k a week so not cheap but I do rate him unlike a lot of people I think he would a very good addition especially considering it would be a free.

Personally I think baines will be sold for around £15 million, undervalued in today's ridiculous climate ? Then yes he is , but I also think that although moyes will be disapointed to lose him he will be reunited with him in a couple of years when Fergie retires .

Stop it lad if baines was sold for 15mill moyes would walk and a lot of fans would turn on kenwright, he wont go for under 20

guys and girls don't get me wrong I defo want bainsy to stay and he or the club really needs to come out and say either way whats going on, but if he goes all is not doom and gloom, we will rise again, in fact we have a really good reserve LB in luke garbutt. anyone who has seen this boy play will know he has a big future COYB - ( wella )

United have made no contact AT ALL about Baines to Everton. IT IS PAPER TALK!! Relax people seriously, it is still May and I am already sick of the transfer rumours

David Moyes is supposedly looking for a replacement for Baines in case he leaves already.
Firstly, that can't be a good sign, but, secondly, the player he is reported to be looking at is Aly Cissoko, who is available for 7 million.
Would he be a good replacement?

Also, I know what your all thinking, we don't have 7 million, but its a good sign. Maybe we do have the money, but us fans don't know about it yet, because why would Moyes be looking at someone who is supposedly out of our price range?

I may be wrong about it, and it could be just lies by the papers, but there is a possibility that it isn't far from the truth. Moyes went to talk to Bill Kenwright about money being made available, and we (maybe just me) haven't heard anything about what happened, so it could be good news.

If hes a replacement for Baines then obviously the money for him would come from his transfer since he's worth a lot more than 7 million!

Or maybe, he is just going to use the money he gets for Baines, minus the bit, Bill gives to the bank....

Cissokho would be a great baines replacement. If we could get £20m for baines and pay no more than £7m for him and moyse was able to spend the difference then this would be sensible business for us
