David Moyes is looking to get federico macheda in on loan in January, He was close to signing before th last window shut. Moyes and Sir wiskey nose have a good relationship so this could be a goer.... {Ed025's Note - i really hope so..

Believable25 Unbelievable16

I was told this by one of the players in the summer... we were very close to getting him then

Agree0 Disagree0

Must admit Macheda hasnt played at all lately for Utd, has he been injured?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is macheda much better than vellios i think they are similar players why not give vellios more chances rather than adding a similar player to the wage bill,i would like to see lukaku though big strong player what we need i think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly I can't see much difference between macheda and vellios and do agree with the upper comment. I think vellios may has a lot of promising we should give him a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku cannot sign as we will be his 3rd team this year! Why dont we try and sign henry on loan hes unreal...only ground he never scored at was goodison park may wana change that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why why why....vellios is better

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we want uniteds 6/7 rated striker. would be a terrible signing has proved nothing in this league 2 goals then nout. young, but we need proven top rated players by hook or by crook, but Macheda wont improve us simple as we have better strikers like Saha&Cahill and maybe even vellios. Dont understand why he does not give Gueye a chance on the wing or just behind Saha most impressive player in pre season.Has nothing to lose and everything to gain.Come on Moysie time to attack even away from home against Bolton there poor.Ed surpised you would settle for Macheda thaught you rated Everton to be least somewhere better than UTDS reserves, reservers , subs. come on we deserve better than that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Velios is as good if not better and he is hungry

Looks like Heitinga will be going in january due to moyes not allowing duffy to play for scunny the other night. From what iv heard hes being doing really well down there so if we can get back what we paid for heitinga then il be more than happy. Also id love nedum onuoha from city, Dont think he would cost alot and his wages wouldnt be anywhere near heitinga's. And personally i think hes alot better than Jonny.

Believable19 Unbelievable16

I reckon Heitinga and Billy will leave the club in January and Donovan, Pienaar and Onuoha will be brought in on loan with a striker being bought on a permanent basis. {Ed025's Note - now would,nt that be nice..

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont want Pienaar back....he got stay rotting in on the Spurs bench frankly. I think Billy is fair enough as just hasnt come off for him in the Prem. Jonny on the other hand I think is a good player, he has dipped in form a little of late but I think you are being harsh to want to move him on. I would keep him. Donovan very welcome, hopefully we would deploy him as a striker this time round rather on the right. Lets see what happens, looking forward to what happens in Jan!

An excellent source in the media has confirmed that the Indian interest in Everton is from Vedanta Resources, which is a mining conglomerate based in Mumbai (and other places)

"Watch this space"!

PS: They're loaded! {Ed025's Note - i tend not to believe these rumours..as its so disappointing when they turn out to be false...but i would love to know this media source..

Believable20 Unbelievable32

Please be true could do with some Xmas cheer {Ed025's Note - trouble is...BK is the grinch!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not another rumour monger! If the media had hold of it it'd be all over the internet and the back pages of the red tops.
I'm sorry but after that well crafted wind up about the rich arabs I'm refusing to believe anything until I've seen it on SSN or the BBC.

Behind Blue Eyes {Ed025's Note - well said blue eyes..

Agree0 Disagree0

An excellent source what was it jack Jack Daniel's {Ed025's Note - ..lol

Agree0 Disagree0

A bit of research into these people shows that they have massive resources, and normally get what they want (look at the way they screwed the Zambian government on their copper deal). It would be a very lucrative relationship. Hope it is them. {Ed025's Note - if they screwed a government...would they think twice about screwing us??...just asking..

Agree0 Disagree0

@ed

There would be no reason, I presume, to screw us, would there? This is a big outfit with resources of £24 billion (Wiki). If they really do want to buy us, we would surely be part of a project, not a cash cow. I think if they wanted to screw someone, it would be in an area that is more lucrative than the PL. {Ed025's Note - i would like to think so mate...but the EPL is a massive business...when you think, man utd is a bigger brand than coca cola..it sums it all up..

Agree0 Disagree0

@ed

Fair comment, Ed, but the point I was making is that they're not small time chancers. If they wanted to buy us to make money, they wouldn't be looking to turn a small profit. So at the very least they would have to be in it to build the business up (we're not man U yet!)

Won't happen, of course! :-) {Ed025's Note - but it would be good if it did..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed

You need to check on your brands. I think that compared to Coke Man U is a tiddler! {Ed025's Note - you are wrong my friend..look it up

Agree0 Disagree0

As usual everybody keep calm.....who knows what is going on behind closed doors. Lets keep on supporting David and the team. My personal hunch is that we are too good a proposition to turn down should the buyer have enough cash to wipe the debt out and stick with Goodison, redeveloping the ground a piece at a time. I firmly believe with plenty of cash that is the best option.

Agree0 Disagree0

You say an excellent source, what source. I cant find anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, Man United has an operating revenue of £331 million. The Coca Cola company has one of £35 billion (Fair enough the latter its split into various brands (including entertainment)).

Agree0 Disagree0

Vedanta are a massive company but it surprises me that they would wish to diversify into the EPL as they are almost entirely a mining/ore processing company with huge assets in India. Their track record is not one of investing n sport. Having said that, if their interest was more to do with the land side of things similar to the Man City proposed development maybe it is not so far ftche?

Agree0 Disagree0

Man Utd...Coke....I think if we got an offer from Trendy Pops at this moment in time, that would do for me. Some of you younger blues might not remember Trendy Pops. It was mostly sold on ice cream vans circa 1978. Wasn't that the year that big Bobby Latch got his 30 goals?....happy days. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Its "everton resources inc" they are after its well known they've been linked with the Qatar royal family too.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's all heresay don't belliuve a word

Agree0 Disagree0

To say Man Utd is a bigger brand than Coca Cola is....Silly {Ed025's Note - silly but true....look it up!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do people come on here and say: "from a brilliant source" or something. If the source is so fantastic, why don't the likes of SSN, BBC or ESPN use it? Rubbish.

if i was manager my team after the window would be this:
hennessey
coleman, jags, distin(till end of season then look for replacement or bring though duffy)baines
drenthe(if we can get him permanantly),felli, rodwell, holtby
walters
owen for 1/2 seasons depending on fitness on pay as you play with vellios and gueye as impact subs. reasons being hibbo is aweful distin is old heitinga is shockin and cahill and saha too old. not every1 will agree with some of the signings but let us no what you guys think ?

Believable2 Unbelievable32

I hope this is a joke hennessey really?? walters is good but cant see us going for him and not sure he's what we need owen hmm no thanks Macheda over Owen Keep howard in. that team you have done would finish bottom 5 {Ed025's Note - macheda would be a great signing..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think henessey would be a great understudy to howard {Ed025's Note - not a big fan myself..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that hennessey is a qulity keeper... i would have him tomorrow... howard wont be here forever {Ed025's Note - he is doing well..because wolves defense is awful!..so he is involved a lot, he is a mediocre keeper..

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to agree wid you ed he's average Tim Howard has been awesome for us don't agree wid the rest of Wat he's posted aswell. {Ed025's Note - i rate tim as one of the top 5 in the EPL

Agree0 Disagree0

WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT!! Owen?? but not Howard, Distin or Saha? not sure I follow the logic there mate. Howard is still top drawer! Think you need to rethink your team mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and forgot to throw...Cahill too old??? what 31?!! yeah that is sooo old. If your piping up about Owen....I bet you would take Beckham right now....too old? (by the way I would actually take Beckham into the squad right now!)

Agree0 Disagree0

To the original poster-If you were manager your team would be-you clearly dont understand how football management works! It doesnt matter who is manager,he wont have the money to buy these players....But if this was your idea of a dream team you really lack imagination

When we sell Bily in January for how ever much we get for him, a player like Holtby, Banega or even Manuel Fernandes is needed we lack creativity most of are attacks are coming from Jagielka long balls and its just predictable most teams now have defenders who are like giants and are just dealing with those balls all the time we need to get the ball down and play along the floor and have that player who can pick out that pass who can turn a man and drive forward personally i think Holtby is the man and no not just because he's an Everton fan because he is actually quality yes being a fan is a boost but he has heart and all the right quality's to be a world class midfielder also we have to no that 4-5-1 isn't going to go away so we need a Djalo, Agbonlahor, Love, Doumbia someone who has lighting pace and the ability to finish off the chances which are provided by the likes of Drenthe, Baines, Coleman, Gueye(if he plays which i think he should), Holtby theres alot of players to create the golas but not many to finish them, i would definatly keep Vellios because he is still only young and we have seen he can score goals i thought his pace would have been a problem with his size but he shocked me when he come on against wolves actually how quick he was i think out with Bily and Heitinga and in with holtby and a fast proven goalscorer and yes i no if we sell Heitinga we will be short of defenders so i would go for Onuoha he is only 25 and wouldn't cost that much and would be a good sub defender to have but i think coleman should definatly go back to his right back position which would then give us two overlapping full backs in baines and coleman with pace on the wings with Gueye and Drenthe with Holtby playing in Cahill role just behind our new striker... So holtby and Onuoha with bily and Heitinga money And new striker with the money we have been promised by Kenwright from the summer sales. COYB!!

Believable9 Unbelievable14

OH NO Not fernandes rumours again, I thought that had all passed !

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you're just about right with your personnel wish list. Believe it when we see it though!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ever heard of full stops mate? I got out of breath just reading this one.

Agree0 Disagree0

You must have spent ages composing this drivel. You want us to spend money on 2 players who knocked us back 2+3 seasons ago( Fernandes + Banega). Then the rest on player who no one knows anything about other than he is a blue{Holtby}. Who are you Kenwrights script writer. GMC

Agree0 Disagree0

Fernandes and Banega didn't knock us back a fee could not be reached for Fernandes and Banega couldn't get a work permit so get it right and actually i watch alot of Holtby when Bundesliga is on ESPN so just because you don't no anything stop chatting your bulls**t.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone is entitled to there opinion.....I do think however you are jumping on the now recurring theme "now Arteta has gone Everton have no creativity". I have grown increasingly frustrated with 1)Arteta piping up in the press regularly about why he left, and how relieved he was.
2)He was our only source of creativity.

On point 1) if he so blo*dy relieved to have left and that he had to go, and it was all last minute and oh it didnt almost happen, and once Fabregas had gone it was inevitable thats great.....but just get on with it! Dont keep harping on about our club....you left mate. I loved Arteta when he was with us and actually thought he would see his career out with us once he signed that long term deal, I was gutted when he left and like the guy. But please, leave it be now and get on with you new club and all that goes with it. I am sure he is really enjoying the atmosphere at the Emirates on match days....it truely is fantastic!

On point 2) has everyone forgotten the fact he barely played for us in the last 2 years, and lets be honest when he did come back he wasnt the same player. He has done alright at Aresnal but then again we all know and love the sort of refereeing decisions they get so its probably a little easier on him. Over time I appreciate that £10M for a 29 yr old who has barely played on huge wages is fantastic deal for our club.

Lighten up everyone we still have creative minded players and still have players that can influence a game, I think the biggest factor that has affected us lately has been confidence, hence the long balls being put up a little more at the moment.

Without sound like a whinger we should have more points than we do right now, Liverpool at home was a joke but who knows what wouldve happened if it had remained 11 v 11.....we were playing with great CONFIDENCE that day. City away was another joke, victory handed to them on a plate via mainly the ref and his inability to see rugby style tackles going in as well as potential career ending ones like what happened to Jags. Chelsea at Home in the CC was another match we shouldve won, Utd at home should argubly have been a draw and Newcastle away was another ridiculous result which we simply didnt deserve on the day. Outside of the CC match I reckon we could have at least another 8 points right now.

You may say I am looking at it from a "its easy to say we should have" point of view but I genuinely believe this, I am always a realist when it comes to our performances. The sum total of all of this is confidence has ebbed away.

If we can get a win in the next league match and push on into the christmas period on a high I think we could be looking good come Jan and the window opening.

WE HAVE GREAT PLAYERS IN OUR SQUAD!

COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

So you don't think we need a creative player? about all that stuff about red cards well thats just football so you have to get on with it but we need 3 or 4 more players

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasnt saying that, we do need creative players however right now we have a decent squad of players and just need confidence. Lets see what happens in Jan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agbonlahor is not good enough! hes quick but thats were it ends
