Eds just wanted to know what your opinion is about what may be happening behind the scenes. I read that moshiri's has given a place on the board to some one who has worked for him before, and it seems that bill is quite vocal at the moment, but what Mr moshiri's himself has said very little from what I can find. I would have thought that prior to his investment he would have authorised significant inspections into the club as a whole, facilities, marketing, performance etc. is it likely that these are being furthered and that he is just waiting to gain a more wholistic view of the club, or is it more likely that he has established his vision of where he would like the club to be and is simply waiting for the season to end before taking action, e. g. Manager, players contracts etc? Also one thing I've been talking about. how likely is it that he and the board will be liaising with Roms or other players agents. is it likely they will be in talks with rom and / or his agent now to see how the land lies?
{Ed002's Note - What I suspect will happen Jcl1878 is that external help will come in to look at where the entire business iss (not just the footballing side) and where it needs to get to. In order to achieve where it needs to get to there needs to be a sensible plan (stadium, academy, involvement of the community and the local authorities, football side, commercial side etc.). From a commercial perspective there will be a big boost next season with the additional media money, and a good chunk of that will be available early to encourage summer spending. Also on the footballing side Everton will look to inform UEFA of new investment (this has to be done by December 31) which will give a short-term buffer against FFP for the 2017/18 season. I would also suspect that the plan will include the run down of BK over the next year or so and then the sale of his shares to Farhad Moshiri or Farhad Moshiri in partnership with another/others. Critically, there needs to be a plan and not knee jerk reaction.
I would not expect Mr Moshiri to be saying too much in public, there is no need for that. Certainly he will not be talking to the agents of any players, making decisions about transfers or dealing with any contracts. I expect that whilst he is still in the role he is, that Mr Kenwright will continue to handle that side of things.
As for Romelu Lukaku I suspect that the end is near. Bayern Munich have watched Lukaku on several occasions this season and Real Madrid see him as a possible replacement for Benzema - if they are able to sell him.}

Cheers ed02, appreciate the Intel. I was just a little confused about the dynamics between bk and moshiri and couldn't understand why the acquisition has remained quite understated. As for Rom it's my gut feeling he won't be here next season, but I would hope that given the remaining time on his contract, and his age that the club, and the rejuvenated finances may be considers by him/ his agent. naive I know but that's the dream. its been along time since we had a 30 a season player. which he is.
{Ed002's Note - I am not too sure what you are expecting from the shareholders. Lukaku wants to be playing in the Champions League and if the oppo9rtunity comes from a club like those showing interest I can assure you he will want to move on.}

Well advised reply. sometime ed your response is a big snotty to some posters, but after above info realise a proper question gets a well advised reply.

Hi Ed great response quick question, you mention the investment and the short term buffer. With FFP is it looked at on an annual basis or averaged over a number of years?
{Ed002's Note - FFP is a rolling three year consideration in terms of investment beyond income. Returns are made each season.}

Ed02 with respect to fair play, can I ask if Everton do go for a new stadium, and lets say they need to borrow 200mand the stadium costs the club £10m a year for 20 yrs is that £10m a year of the top line / off the total club spend per year, or are major investments like stadiums given some kind of separate / special consideration. appreciate it may be a noddy question, but with news that Everton may have a large transfer budget just wondred how this would impact new stadium plans.
{Ed002's Note - If they need to borrow £200M it is most unlikely it would be an interest free loan so it would cost more than £10M a year if it were spread over 20 years. You then need to consider a bunch of other things including the additional costs of running the new stadium over the old one - could well be cheaper as Goodison is likely high maintenance due to age and efficiency. In terms of FFP certain expenditure on the stadium is one of the excluded items - specifically the finance costs related to construction of tangible fixed asset - so the interest on the £200M loan to build a new stadium would be excluded. The other thing to consider is that a new stadium will bring much better commercial opportunities for advertising etc. and the club may look to selling the naming rights to specific stands or even the whole stadium - which is a good money spinner (e.g. The Chang Arena or whatever).}

Ed 02 just digested your last response. I think you may have already answered the question I just sent, however please elaborate if there are some other details. Cheers.
