Neil Lennon is now second fav with the bookies. He has got to be the worst manager around! KENWRIGHT OUT!

Believable2 Unbelievable33

Koppite out

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright out because the bookies have made Lennon 2nd favourite? That's some stunning logic!
Who the bookies make as their favourite is down to there opinion and money that has been wagered so far.
Lennon has not been to Goodison or Finch Farm and there is no evidence that BK has even spoken to him.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is that bks fault he's not a bookie

Agree0 Disagree0

The bookies are never to far wrong. It's gone on to long for an appointment to be made. The people in charge haven't got a clue

Agree0 Disagree0

Degsy, at time of post Lennon IS 2nd fav, so if you're calling the lad a kopite for telling you that, then that's untoward, if you're calling him a kopite because he said Kenwright out, then consider this, he informs us that he is the best salesman for EFC, God knows how many years ago, we're still unsold. He asked us our opinion on the Kirkby stadium, personally myself and 14 other season tkt holders I know voted against it, (I've never met one person who voted for it, honestly) yet he told us the fans wanted it. He slated the Blue Union lads for wanting answers to very reasonable questions, he recently told the world that Everton supporters would be consulted on our choice of new manager, have you been asked? And today, we get shown the new club crest, that within a few hours of its first official showing, 5000 plus have signed an offline petition against it. Everton is my life Degs, and I'd love a fellow Evertonian like BK to lead us to glory, but how much longer are you and fellow Kenwright supporters going to put up with his fairy luvvy dovey tales? I'm not having a go pal, honestly, because we all want the same, success, but unless we voice our disapproval then we'll be putting up with this constant guff diatribe for eternity. PS, forgot to login, Park Ender

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to say does my head in a little when people complain about non prem experience. where did David moyes come from? Where did SAF come from. if you can answer that question correct then you will appreciate that prem exp or euro exp is not necessarily a prerequisite for success. relax give the me manager 10 games and then form an opinion! Jlaff {Ed007's Note - Alex Ferguson won the up-Winners Cup with Aberdeen, they beat Real Madrid in the 1983 final.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The drivel is getting me down. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 07 I know that. the point I was trying to make was that SAF never came from What was perceived (at least IMO ) the hub of European football or the best league in the world. dm after a mediocre playing career for Celtic manages Preston. but both very good managers. The point being that an ex efc player or staff member, or a championship manager, or a Scottish prem manager may turn out to be just as significant to our club as DM has been and SAF has been to Manu. that's what I was trying to say. jlaff {Ed007's Note - Ah right, got you now. Sorry buddy.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I am no kopite mate! It just really winds me up the way the club is run. Every time the board get in volved in making decisions it always seems to go pear shaped. I only wanly the best for this club. Kenwright stated at the start of last week he has a certain person in mind for the mangers job. Most people are presuming its Martinez, so why hasn't there been any approach for him, if we are not careful this season could go really wrong for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2013 00:05:46
I may have been a bit harsh with the Koppite remark, apologies guys

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

If we want to push on into the top 5 onwards a championship manager or ex player simply isn't good enough. This is one of the best jobs within the premier league we should only have the best manager. In my opinion we need somebody with vast managerial experience to take over. We need to hit the ground running and know what's about in the transfer market good enough to play for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

If only the best manager is needed to succeed why did Man U appoint Davie Moyes? Face facts, we're not good enough and have too little money to attract the best managers right now. Someone up and coming and hungry for success might be a good thing. I'm not advocating anyone inside the club, I'm actually against any centre half taking over as the football is usually less attractive but I do have one exception; Slaven Bilic but he seems to have dropped off the radar.

Pod

Agree0 Disagree0

Needlessly divisive, aggressive and strangely old school.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're going to end up with Kendall again, thanks to Billy Liar's ineptitude at running a professional football club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I seen Howard Kendall out last night he seemed on good form although a little pissed, he still wants big dunc as manager. It's sad how the most successful manager in our history is remembered. Safe to say he is not in line for the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think people are starting to be realistic, that like it or not its Lennon. Not only that, it has been him from the start and all the stories of short lists, tips and newspaper articles have been smoke and mirrors. I was told the weekend of the cup final the decision had been made, it came from someone who has a limited but 100% track record in his tips. If I was reading this I would say rubbish just another cleaners grannies best friend story. All I will say is I am not a gambling man other than the odd reluctant tenner in the national but I was that convinced I put a few hundred on this.
If you think about it, regards of who has it all the other stuff on here and in the papers has been utter crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do people honestly expect Kenwright to come out and say what manager he wants to get and put the deal in jeopardy! What is it some fans want from the club? Is it personal phone calls to let them know what they are doing? Wake up guys, the club IS well run, that's why we don't hear anything until the last minute and in particular that's why we don't held to ransom over transfer fees and wages, they can't come out with communictaions to the fans all the time.

the new everton crest is now being displayed on the tour advertisement, gutted I loved the old crest, no more nil satis nisi optimum

Agree0 Disagree0

What does this mean? {Ed025's Note - it means they are going to america..

Agree0 Disagree0

Can only assume that nil satis wasn't optimum enough. Is it a beehive or the tin mans head. More to the point 50,000 odd tattoos can't be wrong COYB.

my sister works at a top west end hotel in London and said three rooms have been booked and confirmed for Monday under the name of Kenright

Believable14 Unbelievable14

Well it can't be Bill Kenwright - spelt with a W.

I notice you said works "at" and not "for" can we expect something to appear on the front pages of the sunday papers then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Another employee breaching confidentiality rules. The world, or Liverpool at least, seems full of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wonder if he's any relation to Kenwright

Cometh the hour that bit nearer to the announcement of everton fcs new manager, I fancy it will be earlier rather than later next week.

Believable10 Unbelievable11

I live in kirkby and know the stubbs's quite well and all I have heard all week is stubbs is having a 2nd interview on monday/tuesday and he will be anounced next week

Bluejim

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe that BK is looking at 2 sets of internal candidates and two external.
The internal teams are 1) Stubbs and Ferguson and 2) Neville and Cahill. Expect a decision early next week.
AJ

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm pretty sure you posted the other day solomon stating exactly when it was happening and who it was, actually you have posted it is a done deal with 3 different names over the past week or so

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of people on here have lost faith in you solomon. its defo not vp. Got so quiet on hin now

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't say people have 'lost' faith in him toffee john, there was none there in the first place for him to 'lose' it. The kid's clearly sophmoric wind-up merchant looking to stir things up.

Just been up past goodison and seen former torquay and gloucester city boss leroy rosenior coming out the carpark. When I asked him why he was there he said he had a meeting and was a bit cagey. He was a decent coach/manager but at this level no way. But maybe as an assistant which would suggest the new man has been appointed and is checking out potential replacements for lumsden, round and woods.

Believable5 Unbelievable28

Something interesting that some of you might not know.
"Leroy Rosenior returned to Torquay United as head coach on 17 May 2007, replacing Keith Curle, but was reportedly sacked after 10 minutes, which gave him the record of the shortest managerial reign in the history of English football. This was because at the same time Torquay were bought by a local consortium who installed Colin Lee as Chief Executive, Lee then appointed former Gulls player and Exeter City assistant manager Paul Buckle as manager. "

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of bo**ocks

Agree0 Disagree0

No imagination whatsoever: "When I asked him why he was there". My response to that would be: "Mind your own f**** business and stop stalking me". "He was a bit cagey". There's a great novelist bursting to get out.

Phil Neville has got the job lads it will be confirmed Tuesday good appointment me thinks.

Believable11 Unbelievable37

Phil has got the job as I said yesterday his A licence has been passed and he has been offered the job nothing will happen until the beginning of June though

Agree0 Disagree0

It won't be Phil Neville, I think it will be Martinez or Pereira.

Agree0 Disagree0

Awesome. One hell of a week coming up. I think that's a new Everton manager being announced on virtually every day of next week, isn't it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh no. Please no. Did any of you see him play. We're doomed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Being a top player has absolutely no bearing on whether you become a good manager. Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger, David Moyes didn't exactly pull up any trees. Then you have the opposite Roy Keane, Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce, Bryan Robson etc etc didn't make top managers.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 May 2013 11:48:14
hi every just a little update the deal is all done and signed off, still can't name manager at this time but it is all done, no point in people saying they want x they want why or its defo x its defo y, cause its all been signed and done, for some reason my uncle tells me the board are delaying the public appointment however he has met some of the players and backroom staff outside of finch farm. (privately)

Steven EFC

Believable3 Unbelievable24

Steven any idea by when an announcement is going to be made? Jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

Steven, you know jack s*** mate they are still interviewing people.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great that we have sites like this, but the posts who infer inside information are always so poor. What motivation is there to post with such lack of humour information or anything, could ve sbout sny club anywhere at any time! Poor

Agree0 Disagree0

25 May 2013 14:37:41
if you can't tell us who it is, then why not tell us who it isnt?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's already confidently stated it's NOT Benitez and that's about it. That's some insight by the way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont you start as well steven with your signed sealed and deliverd rumours. everyone had enough of them lately. whoever we get we get and when they have signed then we will all know who it is

Agree0 Disagree0

My uncle is on the board, that's how I know toffee John, plus I can tell you it's definitely not Benitez, weir was never inetviewed, Stubbs and Neville had interviews, it's definitely not Lennon, definitely not marines, definitely not pulis that's all am sayin, Steven EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

26 May 2013 01:33:15
Defo not marines. let's hope its not the RAF either. a$$hole

Ray

Agree0 Disagree0

Steven efc. I am going to go with ya on this. is its someone else that has been mentioned don here ( pretty much everyone under the sun) or will it be somewhat of a surprise appointment? Jlaff.

Svenny and solomon. the vp rumours have gone quiet haven't they. not going to happen is it.

25 May 2013 09:36:01
Complete load of tripe why do people believe such utter rubbish, GuernseyBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

See my post below. VP's agent has stated that the position will be clarified early next week after further discussions with FC Porto-this is not a rumour-it has been stated by several Portugese sites.

Agree0 Disagree0

The same several sites that said he had signed a pre contract

Agree0 Disagree0

I donk know why you're asking solomon, he's like manuel, but svenny has been right before. On this occasion though I believe it's BS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its hardly "gone quiet" the rumours are everywhere and I'm convinced that there will be some answers next week with I think either Pereira or Martinez coming in.
Joe EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

I am getting more fed up with the doom-mongers than the speculative ' done deals'. Is it so hard to remain positive for a few days?

Agree0 Disagree0

As I have been saying for the last few days toffee John, vitor pereira will be announced as our new boss sometime next week, it's the tabloids & the bookies who have it wrong as they are just guessing & changing their story every day. Come on, do you really think that ken wright is going to recruit a man who has been relegated this season?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's Redknapp

Agree0 Disagree0

NO! REALLY? The tabloids and bookies are guessing and changing their stories every day, you say? Exactly like Solomon has done and has finally gone with the majority, ever heard of the term self- aggrandisment, Solomon?

Agree0 Disagree0

I havn't been changing my story every day mate, I've been saying it will be periera as new boss sometime next week for most of last week. My info came from a reliable source earlier in the week & I have stuck to it ever since & will be sticking to it until periera is named next week, trust me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would I trust you, you've never posted on here before and I don't know you. I'm certainly not a naïve teenager so you can spout all the garbage you like about knowing whoever but it won't wash with me. I'm not putting Svenny on a pedestal but it was his information which you happened to pounce on and claim for yourself.

Has Martinez gone to Spain to speak with another team? Malaga, Porto ( I know Portugal). Who knows who is playing who?

I'm starting to favour ole solkjsar and Bilic at the mo!

The blue Don

Believable7 Unbelievable13

25 May 2013 08:53:56
gone to see his parents

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep Bilic would be a great addition, he's been my 1st choice since day 1. Slaven Bilic, if not then Klinsman, if not then Harry but it ain't going to be any of them. Think we should all take a reality check. Its obviously going to be either Phil Neville, Alan Stubbs, David Weir, Steve Round or someone else already involved at the club.

Dog Puke Peter

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you favour Solksjaer and Bilic? Is it because of there names?

Because right now, Solksjaer is managing the bottom side in the Norwegian league, 0 wins and 5 losses thus far. Bilic is potentially on the verge of being sacked in Russia after guiding his side to 10th in a 16 team league after spending a fair few mil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Solskjaer and Bilic are losers, as their teams' results show this season, so neither would be my choice for the next Everton manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 May 2013 07:11:49
Martinez told Everton to wait as wigan were being relegated. Pereira told Everton he was interested as Porto were winning their league! he's the right man for the job and I want him 100 per cent. so hope its not martinez (whos team only shows up in march or something).

Believable24 Unbelievable3

One showed respect and loyalty.

Agree0 Disagree0

Loyalty shown to Wigan. Unlike Periera

lot of done deals on here, we're going to be the only club managed by 6 managers at the same time!

Believable25 Unbelievable5

. and at least one of them has a dog!

Agree0 Disagree0

We have even more than six who actually think they could (or think they actually do!) manage our club: for a start there's most of the posters on this site, then it's most of the 35,000 fans we get at home games, plus pretty much all of our away support, and any group of fans down the boozer, the chippy, the bookies, or wherever. Everyone of these has an opinion - and loves to voice it! ;-)
