A friend of my dad is a chauffeur and he drove Martin O'Neil to goodison earlier today.
Doesn't mean he is the manager but he has met club officials. Personally, I really hope not as I don't rate or like him.

A friend of mine says that O'Neil and Keane were at Goodison today and they are the best thing since sliced bread as far as Evertonians are concerned. Seriously, are we really saying that the Club are so out of touch with their fanbase that they would engage a man that 99.9 percent do not want.

99.9% against O'Neil that's such a high number Ducky.

I for one do not in any way feel you have made up that number for effect, I feel you are much more dignified and proud to just pluck numbers out of the air. But there will be people out there who doubt your figures so let's make them eat their words ( or even thoughts ) and you tell them the source of this valuable information.

Roy Keane could give these so called professional players a lesson or 2 and even make them scared because at the moment there is no respect on or off the pitch judging by results and performances. Martin O Neill is not who I would have wanted but after today and the last few weeks tbh he can't be any worse that the structure we have in place now. Unsworth hasn't got the players respect and the body language is that they feel they don't need to give him it as he ain't going to be around for long, that's the boards bit Unsworth is carrying the can, so argue against O' Neill, Allardyce for gods sake even Pulis, but ask yourself, if not hiring one of these and keeping the current setup is your choice, then expect away trips Bristol next season.

Good post Bluegray mate. Keane would be a manager that would get the players to start respecting the club and he won't be scared to throw out dead wood. Good shout.

How long would it be before Keane and Dunc had a full on scrap on the touch line though haha.

Ed002, Any thoughts or info on the Martin O'neil rumour? And if not him who are the club talking to too in regards the Managers position being that Moshiri has started 'it's close' (appointing a manager) ?

Believable4 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I think he would be a very odd choice for Everton. Right now Everton are making a shambles of everything and really need to take advice, but Moshiri seems to be resisting that. He is stamping all over Walsh and Kenwright which won’t do anyone any good.}

Hi Ed. Villas Boas has come out and said he has made a decision on his future and will reveal it after the Chinese FA cup tomorrow. Do you know of any interest in him from Everton?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Are you clutching at straws?}

25 Nov 2017 10:15:43
I wouldn't mind him, just wondered whether you knew of any EFC interest as would fit the Moshiri type of manager.
I don't think us EFC fans have anymore straws left to clutch.

Many suspected that something is not quite right and Ed002 does seem to know his stuff so if he says stamping all over then we should sit up and take note. You would think that if someone is astute enough to make a couple of billion that they would listen to the advice of people that have been in the game a lot longer than them. I like others would just like it sorted because as Ed says it is a shambles at the moment and unbefitting a Club as old and established as Everton, if it goes on much longer January may well be to late.

Kenwright and Walsh have both been in the game longer than Moshiri, and Walsh wants Allardyce and kenwright wants Unsworth. Experience doesn't always make the right decisions.
There is no magic wand or magic person to tell EFC what to do otherwise every club in the world would be using them. Like players some managers fit club's and some don't.

Fans are begging for Kenwright to be ignored. Think we have listened to him long enough. Walsh has hardly shown himself in a bright light so I wouldn't be listening there either.
I am sure Moshiri is listening to someone - as said above you don't become a multi billionaire by just going at things blindly.
The issue is that it is an awful time of the season to try to recruit a manager. Our hand was forced because Koeman making suck a mess and Unsie has shown he is nowhere near ready. If O'Neill is on the way I just pray it is a short term deal with option to review at end of season.
Still Silva for me.

i gave myself the night to think about it and i still don't want fat sam. Dyche is by far the better choice. at least he is up and coming version of sam but isn't a corrupt embarrasment
we need some disapline and a big kick up the you no what.

You better be talking rubbish Rich. I'd rather take Big Sam.

Rich1202. After all the slagging off of EFC by Keane, why the heck would the Club even consider O'Neil. That is reason No 1, No 2, What has he achieved as a Manager, as far as I know he always struggled at Club level.

didn't you say it was big Sam the other day I have a feeling Rich is a red obsessed with Everton.

To Bluey79. I just stated what the odds said. My personal opinion is that Big Sam would do a good job, never had a big club before, but wants a long contract. ONiell could do a job until end of season allowing the board then to go for Silva who I highly rate. Just please keep Unsworth away from first team! Take the blue tinted glasses off people.
