Alrite Ed not posted for a while. Do you agree that these next 5/6 days will either make or break the manager, board and teams season. In respect to the sale of JS and signature of players to improve and replace those who have gone or going?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - i really do tony, 5 days to save themselves for me..

26 Aug 2015 20:09:52
So who's to blame if goes pearshaped in all aspects Ed. bearing in mind RM claimed he wanted all business done early this pre-season. and yet with only days left of this window we are struggling to replace Distin and Alcatrash let alone Stones if/when hs goes.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - a manager can only name his targets tony, its up to the board and negotiating team to get the man, so for me the board is at fault mate..

26 Aug 2015 23:19:17
UNBELIEVABLE!!
PHENOMENAL!!
INCREDIBLE!!
Question his targets Ed!! The man is mediocre and surrounds himself in bull!!
The squad will be stronger!! Give me strength - I'm realistic but I want a team with one superstar like Beardsley, Kanchelskis, Cahill, Big Duncan, Big Nev!!
RM dangles Yarmelenko - will deliver Aaron, Evans, Cleverly.
Do not accept blues!! Yet again, hard ons for Barry, Osman who would polish boots at elite prem teams if their manager was desperate!!
Get real you blue muppets - slagging off the realists who spent their own dosh on a banner because we beat S'hampton! Hang your heads in shame, you are part of problem, blue supporters accept mediocrity!!

Agree1 Disagree2

27 Aug 2015 08:50:45
All I can say is if the target is in the public domain it usually means he will cost more.
The board would like to cash in on Stones; why they might not.
He is an appreciating asset.
The board will be disliked even more if he goes.
It sends a horrible message to the rest of the Young players.
It will take away Roberto's authority and make him look a fool in the eyes of fans and media alike.

Did sky just say baines agitated a move to utd and we said no and made him stay??

I hate sky they all hate Everton!

Believable3 Unbelievable3

26 Aug 2015 23:00:39
In fairness rm said he would make a couple of signings early and make some very late in the window. Let's see if he delivers

26 Aug 2015 18:52:57
Just heard off a friend that Stones request has been rejected. Also that Yarmolenko is trying to push through a move to Everton he's told the Kiev chairman that he wants the move completed. Probably a load of rubbish the second one but thought I'd pass it on and I hope the first one is true. You got any news on either Ed?

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - nothing on them tony.. sorry..

26 Aug 2015 19:42:36
Good, and so it should be rejected.

Stones starts tonight

Believable1 Unbelievable0

26 Aug 2015 18:49:54
Well the Echo have just said that Stones has travelled with the squad to face Barnsley tonight. Will he play?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

26 Aug 2015 18:32:43
We are a selling club no matter what they spout, and it sickens me. We won't get anybody but for a couple of loans, de Guzman that we don't need and a maybe januzaj, who isn't a number 10.Paperwork won't go through in time, fax broke down, can't get a work permit, I'm really disappointed

Your glass isn't just half empty, it's hot a huge hole in the bottom.

26 Aug 2015 18:03:28
Ed call me synical but why do we always have issues with our best players a week before deadline day is it so we don't have time to spend it or is it just bad timing come on I mean arteta he went to win 2 fa cups and took a pay cut not really what I call a great move in think the board do it now purpose

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it seems too much of a coincidence konehead...rooney, arteta, fellaini now stones..we must be mugs..

26 Aug 2015 18:53:21
Stones in the squad, are we actually going to play hard to get over stones and keep him?

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Aug 2015 17:35:02
Ed is it possible that any deal involving Stones could mean he could be loaned back to us for the remainder of the season - hence no big rush to sign a 1st choice replacement now?

#clutchingatstraws

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - highly unlikely jo..

26 Aug 2015 22:22:01
Why would we want a money grabber who doesn't want to wear r crest for rest of season!! People like u r why board are getting away with loan signings and second rate free transfers!! Give me f' in strength!!
Nil satis nisi optimum!!
Too many blues have forgotten!! Your silence says it all!!

Agree1 Disagree1

27 Aug 2015 01:21:58
A footballers career is short. why blame the players who move on, just enjoy their performances while they are at the club. Booing Rooney, Lescott, Fellaini is riduculous

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 17:26:35
The futbol ukraine forum are reporting that everton have made a very very serious offer for yarmelenko and the player himself has said no barca bid nor arsenal so please God let this happen

Believable1 Unbelievable3

26 Aug 2015 17:16:38
We will do a swap with utd for Jones and get Januzai on loan to sweeten the deal.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

26 Aug 2015 16:48:26
Just read that Martinez has said that £45 million is the price tag

Believable1 Unbelievable1

26 Aug 2015 18:05:09
I'd take that, providing we spend it properly and quickly

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Aug 2015 23:37:02
We won't get 45 and won't spend it wisely!

And if u know your history xxxx we are spiralling down. Sell best and replace with "squad" players!
Pure mediocrity!

26 Aug 2015 16:41:10
Hello Ed, is Fazio likely? With his track record in the Epl he is a disaster, but he was clearly good for seville. Maybe the scouts have seen potential. Distan was poor in his first season for us but became fantastic.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - nothing is certain with fazio avro, i feel hes a back up plan if we dont get our main targets mate..

26 Aug 2015 23:02:21
Let's hope so!!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 16:20:31
The main issue now is that if stones goes and we get 35-40m will there be time to use this money or will it mysteriously disappear over the next 6 months when there's no money in January?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

26 Aug 2015 15:59:22
Ukraine media saying Yarmolenko has no contact with Barcelona and no talks with Arsenal, still making no comment when asked about Everton

Believable1 Unbelievable1

26 Aug 2015 16:46:43
Yep and now apparently Everton have made a very serious offer for him, This is unbelievable I wish it was all over

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - the transfer window or life in general stef?.. :)

26 Aug 2015 17:20:47
Why would he go to barca, he wouldn't be able to play in champions league now and ineligible till January still hope haha

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 18:13:47
Both 😂

{Ed025's Note - i know how you feel stef.. :)

Because they r Barca and we r Everton!
Grow up!!
We need an uprising, a revolt to overthrow the upper class. Where r days of Blues singing Smith songs, voicing communism and Clash War!
We have become middle class!! We r voting for these tits with r bums on seats! Wake up TRUE BLUE NOSES!!
Revolution is in air!!

According to the echo not the most reliable source I admit but it's a rumour apparently we have agreed a deal with Napoli to loan Jonathan de Guzman don't think he would be a bad squad player

Believable2 Unbelievable1

26 Aug 2015 23:06:42
Too many fickin squad players, ask why? No European games, early exits from cups. More mediocre!! Stop accepting this crap blues. Our squad is pure mediocre!! Our one star - Stones - will go!!
Yarmelenko my Arse!! Those days are gone!!
Wouldn't be a bad squad player - are you arm in disguise!!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 15:46:39
Ed could you clarify?
Where is evidence or statement of John Stones 'Wish' for a transfer?
Cannot find any sites saying more than Sky.
Is it just more bull#hit from press?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - if it was the club would refute it mushy..

26 Aug 2015 16:49:44
ed, shouldn't the club admit/deny the transfer request, then tell us if they are going to accept it but only if the valuation and a suitable replacement is found. Or say it's untrue and point blank say under no circumstances no matter what the bid, he's under contract till 2019,and he's going nowhere?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they should kel...but dont hold your breath mate..

26 Aug 2015 15:42:03
Hearing UTD offering Phil Jones as part of a deal for Stones. I really do not see why we would take this deal he's injury prone!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - and crap to boot..

26 Aug 2015 16:12:20
I thought that went without saying the man is known for his gurning faces whilst blocking and his seal like impression doing a header on the ground vs Arsenal. Is there anything Everton fans would be willing to get for Stones? £30m plus Chicarito/Januzaj/Evans. Or Sell him to Chelsea for £40m or £30m plus a player?

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 16:55:41
I'd take £35m plus a board and manager decisive enough to do something decent with the money before the window closes. By my reckoning if we sell Stones we are left with one senior CB which will no doubt be a "phenomenally exciting moment" according to RM.

On a serious note, I wouldn't want anything Utd could / would offer us. We need two CBs if Stones goes and I'd only take Rojo or Smalling from Utd, neither of which they'd lose. We don't play to Chicarito's strengths, Evans is inconsistent at best and Januzaj isn't that different to Delboy. On the basis that Stones looks like being 95% gone, I'd be going all guns for the Celtic lad.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 16:58:06
Januzaj? Chicarito? Young? from United
Remy? Ramires? Oscar? Zouma? from Chelsea

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 17:03:59
To be fair, I don't hugely rate Jones, but he's not that bad, is young, is twice the player Evans has ever been and would immediately fill the hole Stones leaves, so we wouldn't have to overpay on a last minute nobody. £30m +Jones is as good a deal as we're going to get.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 17:30:13
Please not Evans he's Sunday league quality and that's doing him a favour

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it really is mate..

26 Aug 2015 15:22:24
Man Utd being linked with a move to hijack the Stones deal on some sites, apparently they'd offer Jones as part of the deal, I'd take 25-30m plus Jones just to keep JM quiet

Believable2 Unbelievable2

26 Aug 2015 17:26:04
If he is to leave I'd much prefer him to leave for United, after Jose an co's quite frankly insulting pursuit and underhand tactics they've used to unsettle him I'd see it as at least a minor win if he chose someone else now.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 15:05:49
Fast becoming disillusioned with our club, stones was always going to go, there classless approach to our player has been nothing short of disgusting but it has worked, clever comments from mourinho terry and Cahill in the press and the links to alternative centre half targets in the press have pushed him into his transfer request, if we now don't use the majority of that up front money to strengthen the squad what is the point? My guess is they will cheap out on a poor centre half FAZIO ands couple of loans and the money will disappear again!!!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

26 Aug 2015 16:34:04
go back two or three seasons and we had one if not the best defence in the league.

move forward in time and it's now a shambles.
Coleman seems to struggle to improve his game his crossing hasn't got any better and goals have dried up carrying sole responsibility as rb is too much,
Baines is out injured and struggled to find his form when he has played,
the Distin situation,
Jags on his last legs

can u blame Stones for wanting out?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - jags and baines when fit are england regulars BOTN, coleman is a irish regular international not too shabby if you ask me mate..

26 Aug 2015 17:39:48
Totally agree we should go out and spend 20 milion on a good centre back 15 on Austin , otherwise season is another waste of time as we won't win nothing as usual.,
Not saying we would but it would give us something to look forward to. if we lose tonighte fans will be even more restless, Martinez dily dalys same as Moyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 19:00:35
Have to disagree on Coleman, he was everywhere against City, my man of the match, he covered nearly every blade of grass.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 20:29:19
Have to agree with Bri21.coleman was brilliant against city. Had sterling in his pocket all game. Our man of the match easily.just needs a proper winger in front of him to flourish

Hi ed are the board going to comment on stones or are we just going to keep the fans guessing absolute joke and I thought we was going to sign someone in a few hours in my book that's about 2-5 hours 24 hours later nothing.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - they will announce it when he has gone konehead, as always..

26 Aug 2015 13:34:11
Cannot fault Stones for wanting to sign for a team that has been relegated more times than winning the league and who have 23 players farmed out on loan.

Enjoy the plasicflag wavers should you go, remember to take a pair of tweezers to get the splinters out of your backside, rant over.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 10:28:44
Are Chelsea not breaking ffp rules with all this money they are spending.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - apparently not stef..

26 Aug 2015 11:31:52
Ffp is a waste of time, it's irrelevant, man city will take there spending to over 200m and they won nothing got nowhere in champions league and not brought much money in with players leaving, you can not tell me they are balancing the books, Chelsea bit different they sell assets no so net spend for them would look good on paper

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 12:00:24
Rules been changed, if owners gives club money as a gift and doesn't want it back then its not included towards FFP! Absolute joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 13:22:52
They changed the rules psg an city appelyed last yr an got it overturned so if the chairman is will to put his own money in they can spend 300/400 mil if they want

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 10:28:39
. Yarmalenko joint Barcelona app. never mind folks, we've still got Mcgeady. great isn't it!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

26 Aug 2015 11:29:20
or his current club are lying because they think we are lying about Bernard, I say offer them another 5 million, sod it

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 12:22:10
Don't worry we are selling the Martinez so called golden generation first stones, next window or summer Barkley will be sold holgate will come in he will go without playing many games, it's business get used to it once the debts are paid off the board can sell club and they make there big money that's what it's all about, I think bill is outnumbered by other board members and he bangs on about selling to right people well he should of done that when appointing board members and selling share to people that have done nothing for this club, that's right bill you get all the stick where your so called mates sit back and watch there shares increase in value waiting for the next boom in football sells which will happen with next years overseas money

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 12:28:20
Our club has all the potential in the world to be a top club again, but won't be if we sell our better players. Stones is contracted till 2019, so I'd just blow Chelsea off unless they stump up 40m with the vast mojority of it upfront, with some add-ons. The ball is in our court, if he doesn't want to play then drop him and don't pay him what he gets now. Everton gave him his platform to show his talents and we can quite easily take that platform away If we are to believe the club and don't need to sell.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Aug 2015 09:13:24
Are we becoming a feeder club for south American players ed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - haha...no mate..

26 Aug 2015 10:28:16
Been told by a source close to Everton that Stones does want to leave no fee has been agreed yet an the two South Americans an Fazio are expected to be Everton players by the end of the window nothing on Yarmalenko

Believable2 Unbelievable1

26 Aug 2015 11:11:18
Fair enough on Stones (although having categorically stated by Wood and Martinez that he is not for sale, they need to play real hard ball for 40 mill now or credibility is well and truly shot), fair enough two South Americans but one of them being only for the future still leaves us short. As for Fazio, deary me, two red card and since seen by Spuds as a liability, why the heck should we go into that. Said from the start that Martinez would be a disaster, last season demonstrated that and this season is looking to be the same, only 3 games in.

Agree1 Disagree3

26 Aug 2015 08:59:30
There is one site reporting that Stones informed Martinez privately last week that he wanted to leave to go Chelsea.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

26 Aug 2015 00:42:24
Hey Ed, do Everton have a genuine interest in Charlie Austin?? . With Lukaku, Kone and Naysmith I think the money from the sale of Stones would be better spent elsewhere.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath about Austin.}

26 Aug 2015 07:32:03
If the Austin talk is media hype! Where will he go

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - possibly palace rich..

26 Aug 2015 07:41:24
Thanks for swift reply. I think if stones does move on then Martinez will have few foreign unknown tricks in mind. My mate said Jonathan Walters but I can't see that I can see him linking with Pullis again.
