Rom told ssn he wants champions league football next year so guess it's goodbye to Rom but no real surprise know it turns to us to find his replacement I guess we will get 60 million plus for Rom so I would put a big bid in for michy batshauyi ed what strikers u think we could be after to replace Rom.

{Ed002's Note - I am sorry but Marseille's Michy Batshuayi won't be making the move to Everton in the summer. I don't think that the club will have one particular target in mind but will look to "forward" options with a winger/attacking midfield also being looked for. I gave a couple of ideas in response to another post.}

Or we could just use our £13.5 million striker,niasse,if lukaku wants to leave.

Ed, I see Lukaku himself has now come out this afternoon and said he wants to be playing champions league football next season, so it does look like he's going - how much do you realistically see us getting for him monetary amounts and who should we be looking at to replace him with?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Tarashaj will be arriving but I expect Everton will open the folder with the scouting notes in and look again at the likes of Basel's Breel Embolo and Kieta Balde Diao as forwards.

I also think they will look to add an attacking midfield player who can also play as a winger - Gokhan Tore (who hasn't signed for West Ham but might well do) and Rafa Silva were two good options looked at earlier in the year. Again I would not rule out Everton looking again at Empoli's Riccardo Saponara.}

Yarmalenko in midfield.

Would love embolo, but we would need another strike option. Yes, yarmalenko would be ideal for us, the question is would we be ideal for yarmalenko? I think younger options as targets is a good idea as we can offer them a good platform to perform, but our league position and lack of cl possibly europe at all hinders us massively in more mature talent that would improve our sqaud. Plus the manager, has a big effect on possible arrivals. Lukaku staying would have had a big effect for us in my opinion. Being able to afford and able to attract are different things. Not saying we won't vet ideal transfers just saying there are still restraints.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yarmolenko has been a pain in the neck for the past 18 months - clubs have been moving on from their interest and Everton may well have done the same.}

Best post I've ever seen on here Ed002.

We should target Wilmots, lukaku might fancy playing for him. Buy a shed load of belgians. SIMPLES.

Ed. Wouldn't mind us going for breel embolo he looks more like a striker than kieta balde diao which he looks like a winger/ striker but he is very talented and does play in a much stronger league but embolo for me he has huge potential ed do u know if we have ever shown any interest in Spanish forward inaki williams I hear he has a 15million release clause in his contract that run till summer 2017 as for attacking midfielder it would have to be for me rafa silva he is class or saponara think the Turkish lad will go to west ham finally ed what position dose the Swiss lad play is he a striker or does he play behind the striker if we go for embolo already signing Swiss lad might make us more appealing to him joining us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You need to pit aside "release clauses" but Athletic Bilbao are aware of interst in Iñaki Williams following an approach by Galatasaray and scouts from Manchester City, Juventus, Valencia, Arsenal and Everton attending matches to watch him this season. They have made it clear that they do not wish to sell and have extended his contract - but they expect a bid from Manchester City in the summer.

Braga's Rafa Silva has been of interested to Benfica, Everton, Southampton, Wolfsburg and Schalke for a number of months. West Ham, Real Betis, Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille and Spurs have had him watched but to the best of my knowledge not enquired further at this time. Notably, Barcelona and Manchester United have watched in numerous games this season.

Empoli's Riccardo Saponara continues to be of interest to both Everton and Juventus who have been told they will not listen to offers before the summer. Previous interest of Norwich has waned. Arsenal may revive previous interest.

Basel's Breel Embolo remains a target of Arsenal, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Spurs, Inter, Juventus, Red Bull Leipzig and West Ham with Basel aware of interest from all of these clubs in addition to Wolfsburg who have discussed a transfer with the club. Inter will push to agree a summer move as they don't have the money for a January transfer unless they can offload Icardi. Barcelona, Everton, Real Madrid, Southampton, Liverpool and Leicester have also had the player watched.}

. well Lukakus gone in the summer then. his father has now come out and confirmed that Bayern Munich and Man Utd both want to sign him. I think this summer is going to be 1 of upheaval here at Goodison Park - starting with the manager 1st hopefully!

I see rumours about Chelsea Man Utd Madrid and Bayern, why would he go to Chelsea, they don't have European football, Man Utd may only have Europa so that's not what he wants either so that leaves Madrid, still have a possible transfer embargo but would pay the money and Bayern but would they pay what we ask for?
I still have a hope that he will remain another season, see what happens with the squad with the new investment! I have a dream!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Bayern Munich have watched Everton's Romelu Lukaku on several occasions this season and Real Madrid see him as a possible replacement for Benzema - if they are able to sell him. Manchester United has shown no interest nor declared any interest in Lukaku at this time. If the club are to look to a centre forward at some point he may well be one option the club look to in the future - but for now, nothing.

The interest of Manchester United was from last summer and drifted when they went with Martial and the serious interest of Roma went with the potential price so they took the cheaper option of Ponce and brining a player back from loan.}

So the reported options in the press look limited Ed. he's in the press this weekend stating he wants to play champions league football next season but as we hold his contract for another 3 years it does mean that we can have a say in the transfer fee. Which knowing us will be that high that only a select few will look at the deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Only a select few are interested and Everton can indeed have a say in the transfer fee.}

26 Mar 2016 14:53:47
He's 22. His record declares that he's the best young forward in the world at the moment.

Any transfer fee should reflect this.

We should therefore be looking to replace him with a world class forward.

However. easier said than done if we're not even playing in Europe.

It's going to be a very interesting summer.

Let him off if he wants to go no player bigger than club 60m minimum . What club needs is new manager and players need to grow up and take bull by horns next year, give 100% in all matches that's all I ask. Some of our performances this season have been a shambles.

totally agree mondo no one bigger than our great club if and when he says he wants out I will say thanks see you later rom.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Mar 2016 15:55:31
I think roms future depends on 2 things.

Firstly if we win the cup we will be playing in Europa next season, which he might see as the next step in his development.

Secondly the next transfer market is immense in terms of showing him our ambition by bringing in quality players early. The longer we leave it the more likely he is to leave.

Plus I don't understand people saying he can leave as he's not great. Well if he scores this many goals as an average player I seriously hope He's still here when he developes into a world class one.

26 Mar 2016 19:10:22
What about a statement of intent with a gentleman's agreement, stay another season and if we haven't got champions league we will look to sell, he's still only 22 so a year or two more would mean he is getting better especially with the game time we offer.
If we do sell let's get Madrid to smash the Bale transfer fee!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am afraid that is all rather naive.}

26 Mar 2016 19:58:05
Why do you say that? Do you not feel Lukaku would be of as much value to Madrid as Bale?
