According to a Norwegian radio station Everton target Vegard Forren is due on Merseyside in the next 48 hours to complete the medical side of the deal and discuss wages and contract length. Moyes is also set to offer a short term contract to the man who is the most expensive goalkeeper in British history in a transfer involving two British clubs, former Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon.

I hadn't even heard of him before we were linked to him, (like most others on here probably). I expect when he signs though even one will say he is world class and he is the 'Norwegian Maldini' or something.

Mike {Ed025's Note - as negative as usual i see mike..

It would be impressive if we get our targets sorted early in the window. Now we just nead the club to tell the vultures sniffing round our stars to do one.

The Blues are being linked with Craig Gordon the former Scotland and Sunderland keeper on a website. Not sure what I think of this one. I do believe that we need quality cover / competition for Howard. He comes into work week in week out knowing he is first choice, and like all goalkeepers is prone to mistakes. Difference being he knows he is not going to get dropped.

He`s not a bad Keeper, although injury prone. I actually like how Moyes is dealng with this as he is clearly putting Howard on notice that his form needs to improve and standards must not be allowed to drop.

Personly I am a Big Fan of Howard but something has not been right with him this season. Mucha is a poor Keeper so it make sense to bring in a decent player.

I would prefer Butland though.

not a rumour, just a question, what's happened to all the take over rumours, is it that we have sold enough season tickets & doing ok in the league that Kenwright's not under any pressure to make up any interest in a team that's well over priced for the assets that we have?

Believable12 Unbelievable3

You're probably spot on with that!, However, I've just heard from a reliable source that there may be interest from a Scandinavian conglomerate that's interested in taking us over in the backend of December they are just waiting to see how their end of year results go and looking at the interested generated by a secret supporters survey they receive every year. I believe their MD is quite well known in certain circles but likes to keep himself to himself most of the time. So hopefully, look out for some big news in the new year.
