, stubbsy to be confirmed tomorrow.

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Bilic for the job

Agree0 Disagree0

Not long since his First Holy Communion.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Stubbsy's day was today (Monday)? If not, stupid me! I keep forgetting who is announced next as Neville is tomorrow, isn't he? Followed by Weir on Wednesday - I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2013 00:01:45
Hes away on holiday

Agree0 Disagree0

Stubbsy is home, he was at Wigan yesterday watching his son play

Agree0 Disagree0

Go away silly boy its always the same at half term.

Moyes taking most of the staff with him, Round (and headset), Woods, Scouts and Lumsden! Maybe Phil Neville too! New era, new beginnings!

Believable11 Unbelievable2

27 May 2013 22:51:32
Devastated not Round, I wonder what the OT crowd will think of having every man jack back to defend corners.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha! Wonder who
Martinez will bring in!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck Moyes

Agree0 Disagree0

Only to be expected won't miss round or woods

Agree0 Disagree0

Well then! Looks like city for the league!

Agree0 Disagree0

John Heitinga will not renew his contract with EFC, he said to a dutch newspaper he's looking for a move elsewhere.

Believable11 Unbelievable4

We have been looking to get rid of him for the last 2 years. Finding it hard given he is on about 60k a week.

Hopefully he can find a place, most likely Turkey and we can use his money for other players

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 21:16:57
A russian journalist is on twitter saying we've approached Bilic and the ball is firmly in his court to make a decision. Having said that, portuguese journalists are saying the same about Pereira, so probably meaningless. Just hurry up please, I can't take it anymore!

Believable6 Unbelievable8

Hope so AJ
Bilic my first choice ticks all the boxes for me, and at 50-1 quids in.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would also take Bilic, can remember he was linked as a successor some years back. Would hopefully mean Jelavic would start banging them in again!

Agree0 Disagree0

Phil neville is the next everton manager and to be announced on Thursday.
Can't say where I heard it but and prices still very high.

Believable1 Unbelievable21

You must have imagined it

Agree0 Disagree0

Not going to happen. dream on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard that statement about 15 times this month, only thing different is the day it will 'definitely' be announce.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only thing that will be anounced is that he is off to Utd

Ed, a friend of mine was out with Kevin Sheedy last week and he didn't have a good word to say about Moyse. He said he had not signed a contract because utd had told him if he didn't sign they wouldn't have to pay compensation to us. Bit of s---t trick if true

Believable17 Unbelievable5

Im not sorry to say, but what a load of bolox, no Everton legend would just come out with something like that, can only say RS Alert again. Well I suppose they are digging holes for themselves having Ted as boss.

Agree0 Disagree0

I ve always felt that's what moyes was planning

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate, been Everton fan for 43 years. I was just passing what I had heard. Think about it though, is it Moyse who wouldn't sign because utd had come calling or is it our board is that bad they just forgot to ask him to sign?

Agree0 Disagree0

Given that he undertook not to try and sign any of our players, and now seems intent on doing so, they above conversation does not surprise me, the whole man of integrity thing, is a total sham.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's true that he never spoke to Sheedy or the big fella or watched youth games

Agree0 Disagree0

Evertonian for 43 years but can't spell the manager's name after 11 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 23:46:01
who cares wot your mate said (read the post)

It's going to be Martinez, we all know it!

Believable23 Unbelievable7

Rafa appointed Napoli manager so we can rule FSW out!

Believable15 Unbelievable1

27 May 2013 20:29:28
Not saying I know anything, but how much do you think his present employers would want for cappello, not a great manager at international level, but at club level, his record is the best in the world.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

We'd want paying to take him!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 20:18:02
Hiya guys.

Just done a search on Google for Vitor Pereira. it says he is going to reflect for a week or so then make a decision.

As I'm posting this iy said the article was released 26 minutes ago, so things are happening, either that or this journalist is slow off the mark!

I hope to god we get home!

Martinez has been offered the job he has been offered it now for about 10 days now. that's 100% true he might not take it but he has been offered it.

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Why wouldn't he take it

Agree0 Disagree0

He will, just saying there is always a chance that he might not. But he has been offered it over a week ago now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently he was offered this 10 days ago as a wigan player text old team mates to stick martinez on with the bookies!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 19:13:02
hey SOLOMON, reports out of Portugal suggest VP is going to stay at PORTO? you, my friend were wrong?

Believable11 Unbelievable9

27 May 2013 18:42:41
was told yesterday from someone inside goodison that they want ole gunnar solskjaer? don't know what to think of that one!

Believable7 Unbelievable14

Who inside Goodison? The tea lady? Reveal your source.

Agree0 Disagree0

Badly. He is sitting at the foot of the table with the best team in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be great I think!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 17:58:04
im the leeds fan who will win 30k if zola is made your manager. his odds have now plummeted after the play off. get lumped on him toffeemen {Ed025's Note - not good enough mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable14

27 May 2013 18:01:05
Not surprised you don't want him Ed he's the thinking mans choice. {Ed025's Note - thanks...i did think about him...then dismissed him for being crap..

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds fan again. I think he ticks all kenwrights boxes and is highly regarded in the game. only one year left on his contract so will be cheap

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 18:21:30
You're entitled to your opinion Ed but within the game Zola is highly regarded
I couldn't see Everton under Moyes ever scoring 85 goals in a season. Ultimately its about being entertained. {Ed025's Note - i could score 85 goals in that standard mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Zola. they must be joking.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is everton mate not some little Yorkshire has beens

Agree0 Disagree0

'that standard' and 'has beens' knocked your first team out of the carling cup. we are the biggest team in yorkshire, you are not even the biggest team in liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 20:03:47
Think you will find it wasn't our first team mate, moyes left a few key players out, and we didn't even turn up at that game, for I think moyes was to blame for that, you keep to your own problems to battle and stay in the championship next season and leave it up to the big boys (Everton) to concentrate on the premier league next season, Westy {Ed025's Note - you tell him westy..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you go and take your ferret for a walk. Biggest team in Yorkshire?. can't believe that you would seriously make that statement. Whoever we get as our manager, he'll be managing us in the prem, not that you'd know we're that was. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

A liverpool fan moved in next door and since then my ferret has gone missing. so has my car stereo, sat nav, favourite adidas tracksuit from the washing line and my flat cap. he evn trys talking to me about football but I can't understand a word he says

Agree0 Disagree0

Your mind has probably become muddled because you've had that sheep down your wellies for so long. probably best to get back on your own site. that's if that Liverpool fan hasn't robbed your lap top. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed025's Note - love it wavo..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive got no sheep unfortunately. its going to be zola mate. calm down, calm down

Agree0 Disagree0

It probably left you after you got it pregnant. there's probably an extremely annoying lamb roaming around Yorkshire, banging on about other club's potential managers, because it's own club is so uninteresting, that it's got nothing better talk about. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Wind your neck in, I used to live in Leeds and it's a dive. As for Zola being well respected in the game, utter tripe. You respect him because his mid-table fodder finished above yours. And 30k from a bookies? I worked for one and they try and limit liability on manager bets so I find that unlikely.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 17:54:18
Vp agent has said that Porto have offered him a two yeae contract. Pereira has asked for a years contract
Sounds bad news. Typical another hyoe about a manager just to let us down again.

Believable14 Unbelievable9

VP wouldn't be letting us down, BK is by not coming out and stating his target clearly, Man U did and look how quick they've done business

Agree0 Disagree0

So it looks like its Martinez then a well I knew it was too good to be true. Stef the blue

I, m a cabbie and had a portugese lad in my car this morning Who was a big Benfica fn. He said that perrerra is leaving porto and his Job is between Benfica manager and sp lisbons manageras they are ex porto players ( I haven't checked this info )He seemed to think Vp would be going to Everton but that was only Rumours he got from back Home. just passing this on no BS just what I heard today

Where is Svenny what is happening mate?

Believable1 Unbelievable11

27 May 2013 12:21:54
I'm telling you now lads we won't have a manager until June 1st at least, that is when the contracts expire.

Believable6 Unbelievable11

So how do you explain Moyes working at Old Trafford for the last week?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 12:51:12
I notice you don't specify a year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes asked for permission, and bill granted it,,

Agree0 Disagree0

From what I have seen and red, moyes contract runs to the end of june

Agree0 Disagree0

We have to appoint a progressive manager not some one who has been relegated from the league! I think it has to be Ole Gunnar if we aren't getting V. P. At least he knows what it is to continue the great traditions of the club. It would be almost like why Moyes went to United. The next step. Martinez is a backward move and we should all make our feelings known.

Agree0 Disagree0

June 1st?
More like July 1st methinks, as contracts run to June 30th - don't they?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ole Gunnar would be a step forward, unlike martinez? Ole Gunnar is currently sitting last in a terrible league, that my sunday league team could win, with the team that should be comfortably winning it. that would be a step back.

Just saw Martinez at John Lennon, had a straw donkey under his arm and a toblerone. Said he loved Benidorm, reminds him of Rhyl without the sun centre. It's on everyone!

Believable23 Unbelievable9

Man U had there manage sort out in a day. The supporters were kept informed at everton well that's just everton. Why can't the club be clear with us bad management

Agree0 Disagree0

What toblerone did he have?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the nearest airport to stoke, (hopefully)

Agree0 Disagree0

Was Riquelme there as well? Ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

ManUtd had their manager sorted out in a day did they? And there's all those conspiracy theorists writing that the deal was being negotiated for months beforehand. Just goes to show that this forum is just speculation, gossip, rumours, and banter - which is exactly its purpose of course - and in most cases it really is posters putting two and two together and getting five!
RhinoSoreAss

Agree0 Disagree0

He had a Toblerone with just one peak - representing the FA Cup win - and the rest of it was fruit and nuts in honour of his Wigan chairman.

Agree0 Disagree0

Off to malaga you heard it here first

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 11:13:25
apparently Pereira's making a decision about his future today and the decision on the new EFC manager will be made this week. as I say, "apparently" just a rumour, not saying its concrete

Believable12 Unbelievable6

Which top European continental clubs has he also been linked with?
I ask because I honestly don't know and I think it would be a measure of how highly rated he really is if his services were in great demand by other clubs as well as Everton.
RhinoSoreAss

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone who has a source inside porto said Vitor Pereira is going to sign contract for everton tomorow. so many rumours flying around but this guy is usually spot on when it comes to inside info on porto but again nothing is certain just thought I would pass it on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is this someone would be great if it is true but I think we missed out on Vitor. Stef the blue

Martinez about to quit Wigan!

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Martinez is a winner we are so lucky he wants to come. Thomas Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree he always goes for the win, which has meant wigan have struggled at times as they don't have the quality. He had wigan playing like braca must not be that bad. In a team like everton he will have the players and the resources to realistically go for the win every week.

Agree0 Disagree0

His a winning manager of the FA Cup, but his a losing manager in the Premier League.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's quitting Wigan to join Malaga {Ed025's Note - no way pedro..

I just tripped over a curb outside goodison park.
KENRIGHT OUT
Uncle Ben

Believable15 Unbelievable8

A curb? Are you sure it wasn't Kenwright having a kip. Kenwright out!

Agree0 Disagree0

Try putting a claim in you might get offered the managers job

Agree0 Disagree0

I tripped over a kerb once and immediately took steps to curb it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice pun ;-)

Just be thankful it wasnt a curbishley or we would be screwed haha

Anyone know if neville southall really does have twitter or is it a fake account?

Believable6 Unbelievable8

It's real as far as I know. Glad to see he hates the badge too.

Steve EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Appears to be real as he lives in Kent and goes on about his local team!

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely real. say hi to him he almost always says hi back.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 11:34:52
Just visited his twitter page. Great comment about the new badge and a nice picture of some penguins (seriously!).

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone care to speculate - nothing offensive please - as to why he's never had a top coaching position? Too much his own man who's unafraid to express his opinions passionately I'd imagine.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 10:05:19
Anyone reckon we should buy vermaelen and santana? Both leaving and could be on the cheap also proven quality players? And honda, atsu

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Don't think we'd get Santana/vermaelen and should be aiming for a younger CB like mangala/dragovic

Agree0 Disagree0

But we could get vermaelen or santana AND a young cb

Agree0 Disagree0

We haven't even got a manager never mind getting players

Agree0 Disagree0

BK needs to hurry up an hopefully appoint vitor pereira!

Agree0 Disagree0

We should be looking for better than Vermaelen. Had a decent first season scoring a few goals but over-rated as a CB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why buy cast-offs? Players are released by other clubs for good reason.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whose buying these players. Redknapp?
Get kenwright as boss

Agree0 Disagree0

Vermaelan only 27

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 09:22:12
5m for Martinez? Dig a little deeper and get Laudrup, common sense!

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Or get Pereira for free?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think laudrup would be a great option

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave Whelan said he'd immediately release Roberto Martinez once he'd said he wanted to leave Wigan Athletic, so why would we need to pay £5 million - especially as doesn't he only have a year left on his contract?
RhinoSoreAss

Agree0 Disagree0

Laudrup wants to stay at Swansea

Agree0 Disagree0

You know it my friend a fkn no brainer!

Agree0 Disagree0

The play-off final today is pivotal the delay I believe is because the number 1 candidate is involved in this game. Expect an announcement tonight or Tuesday morning.

Believable0 Unbelievable15

WHY! One of them would have failed to achieve premiership football and the other wouldn't leave after taking his club up, we wouldn't want either!

Agree0 Disagree0

He's my choice, Zola, sadly been told by more than a good source wish I could tell you who, but I saw him at the Etihad Saturday and he asked who I wanted, sadly it was a "very unlikely" comment from him. Hate to upset peoples impressions but he's a really good bloke and very chatty, with some interesting, and in agreement with EFC fans comments.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that Gianfranco Zola seems a really good bloke, but does that make him the best candidate for Everton manager?
As for the other manager involved today - Ian Holloway - he's spoken in the past about Everton being a "proper" football club, which makes him a good bloke in my book, but as Everton manager he'd give us a roller-coaster ride that might end on the downward slope!
RhinoSoreAss

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasnt talking about Zola being a good bloke, but my very very very good source, ya silly man. like I would meet Zola on a Saturday like.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 07:03:18
5 million for Martinez well there goes the transfer kitty then loans and free transfers it is then!stefc

Believable8 Unbelievable6

No Probs let's go for the Porto manager he will cost nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

We have 50 mill, 5 mill is not everything

Agree0 Disagree0

You say we have 50 mill and 5 mill is nothing that can buy player

Agree0 Disagree0

You really think we have a large amount for transfers?
Don't we have to renew/renegotiate our loans soon and we then might have to pay more in interest; we've already used future revenues as security for the current loans (and no doubt will have to do likewise for renewals); we have to cover operating costs (losses of £5 million a year); we have to reduce (eliminate) debts and losses because of financial fair play; even if we could spend big on more players, our wage bill is restricted by financial fair play. Of course, if we had more commercial income, then all of that could be used - and wouldn't be restricted by financial fair play. But judging by the club's handling of the badge fiasco, I doubt if there's any prospect of any such improvement in those revenue streams!
RhinoSoreAss

27 May 2013 02:49:26
It might be nothing but I went on the will hill app to look at the odds and the evertons next manager special has gone could there be a announcement soon?

Essy

Believable0 Unbelievable5

It's on the app now, with Martinez 4/5 favourite, really want Pereira though

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather than bet on who the next Everton manager will be - still anyones guess at the moment and changing every day it seems - I'm waiting for the appointment to be announced and will then have a bet - depending on the odds being value for money - on how we'll do in next season's Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

A newspaper reckons that we're going to pay Wigan £5m for Martinez seems a bit expensive for me, would much prefer Pereira on a free.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

I don't believe that at all. he has 1yr left on his contract. If this is the case then I would nt pay it. jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 00:57:25
Why the f--- would we pay 5m for this serial loser, so much for bill taking into account the view of supporters, still a yes man to massage his ego, well he does have to replace moyes!

Agree0 Disagree0

Joe, I would be gutted if we had him, but to pay for him too when we could get better for nowt. Arrrrrhhhh

Toffee ace

Agree0 Disagree0

Wh would we want someone who took a team down Wigan have been aroun and about the bottom three all the time he's been there he's no good leave him were he belongs. Everton need to get a the best man we can afford and back him we were only three wins away from top four we had to many draws. PV is the man for me come on BIll be the supporter you say you are and get us were we belong

Agree0 Disagree0

Why waste 5m when there are better manager for free?

Agree0 Disagree0

We couldn't find £5m to give to Moyes in a transfer window

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't Everton frustrate the f*** outa ya this is the time to push the boat out make someone a decent offer for gods sake this is Everton Football Club
