everton and southampton chase 10 million rated striker jordan rhodes

Believable10 Unbelievable22

Probably just a personal thing but I'd rather have a "centre forward" who puts himself about and puts the s--ts up defenders. For that reason I'd like to see Shane Long at Goodson.
Mike.

have to disagree mike, I want a goalscorer and not another workhorse (lukaku and not jelavic)

Mike-Ox Long

I agree with you mike! This new style of attacking/flair needs justifying with goals. Rhodes does appear to know where the goals are, but could he cope with the step up? He is young though so he would carry a sell on value unlike kone. Where does £10m come from though?

I think Rhodes would be a great buy, he will cost £10 million though because Blackburn paid 8 for him if my memory serves me right

Agree2 Disagree0

No way I would spend 10m on rhodes, would rather take a punt on Danny Inngs and would be cheaper than that. what's your thoughts on Inngs Ed?

{Ed025's Note - i like him cheeks, a big step up from burnley, but well woth a punt for me mate..

Should of got rhodes last jan for 5m when we were crying out for a goalscorer, the guuy scores for fun, calling jelavic a work horse is a stretch as well he dosnt even try hard

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - rhodes is doing very well, but he is playing in the championship!, scoring in the prem is a different kettle of fish..

I've not seen much of Jordan Rhodes myself, but what I have seen, he doesn't seem to have much else to his game other than scoring goals, which is obviously what you need first and foremost in a striker but in the modern game having more qualities is a bonus. I do like Shane Long though, as a previous poster mentioned, he's a busy, pacey customer and is a handful on his day.

10m?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes is pony, not good enough need a proven premeir league goalscorer FACT

Agree0 Disagree1

Isnt shane long out of contract in the summer

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Granville but this nonsense of a modem forward needing more to his game than scoring goals is the only reason we think it is ok for our number nine to get less than 20 goals
Bull crap 20 goals should be a minimum for a prem number nine!

Agree0 Disagree0

So let's get this right! When lukaku goes in the summer, we want Shane Long to replace him!! Come on blues, give your heads a wobble eh!

Agree0 Disagree0

And how many number 9's will score more than 20? They cost money. And I was advocating Shane Long as a possible replacement for Jela. Jeez

National press have apparently been commenting on Evertonunder 18s win against liverpool, but not about footie, about the tackles our under 18s made.
These boys are 15, 16 and 17 year olds playing in a televised game on RS tv.
All because of KM tackle.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Its been pretty disappointing to see the bile they've got spewed at them. The kids are15, 16, 17 and shouldn't be recieving the amount of criticism they are geting in the national media. While they were bad tackles the kids are still at school for goodness sake. The media has a duty of care towards these young players.

Agree0 Disagree0

They where pretty bad tackles though :P

i thought football was a mans game, none of these kids or so called proffessionals, I.E suarez and co would not have lived with the likes of bremner, hunter, harris, in the 60s and 70s.pure pussy cats the lot of them.

Agree0 Disagree1

To be honest I've not seen the tackle and I also don't care about the tackle a under 18 makes cause he will make it as a pro not on this tackle but his ability.
He will be brought up right at everton don't doubt it

Everton could be about to sign French midfielder Yann M'Vila, 23, from Russian side Rubin Kazan. The Frenchman was spotted at the Merseyside derby on Saturday.

Was he really there or someone who looks like him, no one else has mentioned it so doubtful mate {Ed002's Note - He was there as a guest of Kirikou, the Liverpool club hairdresser. He stayed a couple of days with #WonderDogSparky and then left.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He was there but he is mates with one of the kopite *******s so they got him a ticket in the away end hoping no one would recognise him which they did he is not signing for us

Agree0 Disagree0

He was there, he was in with the Liverpool fans. He was a guest of Sakho.

Agree0 Disagree0

Turned us down in January for Rubin Kazan, money talks. That right Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he does love the money mike..
