Eds and Fellow Blues,

Regarding Charlie Adam, before he joined
the rs he was on our radar and there was a
a lot of positive comments about him
coming to us as Moysies brother was his agent.

No doubt the amount of money being thrown aroundd
by the rs last window put us out of contention.

I don't think its worked for him at the rs

But that doesn't make him a bad player overnight.

If we go for him he would be excellent
cover for Gibbo and also alongside for the likes of Stoke and their physical approach.

I'm not saying I'm a fan but lets not write him off
before he comes. I remember a lot saying Gibbo wasn't good enough.

If he comes then Moysie must rate him and that's good enough for me.

I think it will be last minute if he does
come as there is no rush to bring him
to the city for medicals etc and because
he knows what the EPL is all about.

Good point Big C, dont think he will be coming anyway as he is on 60k a week across the park

TBH I think Charlie Adam is not a bad player... But I just love the way Moyes pulls rabbits from hats... Money is hard to come by for us and I'm loathed to give it to them lot no matter how much we want the player.. And I don't think he'll improve our team....
Dave M

Agree1 Disagree0

Good post that Big C, a lot of common sense in what you say. I'm not a massive fan of the player myself but as you say if Moyes rates him then there must be something there. If he comes I'll support him like every other player who comes to us.
Moody Blue

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't dislike Charlie Adam because he's a RS, I dislike him because he's dangerous in the tackle, rarely fit enough to complete 90 minutes, apparently incapable of playing the simple ball and, in my opinion, has a questionable attitude. He looked fantastic in the Championship and then had half or at best 2 thirds of a good season in the Prem, since which time he's been pretty consistently disappointing.

If he joins us (which I don't think he will) or course I'll get behind him, but I don't want it to happen.

Having said that, you're right, I said something similar about Gibson and was wrong.

Agree1 Disagree0

He's going to villa thank god!

Agree0 Disagree0

The text wasn't wrapping so I had to hit return so I could see what I typed.

Big C

Agree1 Disagree0

Adam was excellent in the champ at blackpool he did drop off towards the end of his time there but blackpool were having a bad run at the time anyway. since his move to RS he has been pretty poor really probably because there full of primos. if he did come he would be in a propper team environment very similar to blackpool and we all know DM gets the best out of the majority of his players. If he does come in on half or less of his supposed 60K and we can pick him up for 3m he may well be worth a punt. Im sure DM will make the correct decision on this one but personally i'd like to see cover at right back as apriority

Agree1 Disagree0

Not sure where he woud fit in our team right now looks like moyes is trying to get away from the no pace from midfield norm with the signing of mirallas and the constant adam johnson rumours before he went to sunderland.one thing our midfield has lacked for years is someone with genuine pace to turn defence into attack in the blink of an eye.look at all the top teams they always have pace in there sides.maybe moyes has finally cottoned on and this season we will actually play or get someone else in with pace to burn.going back to adam nah he sold his soul to the rs why line there transfer budget seems there in more s.it than us.but hey if moyes wants him we just have to trust him hes very rarely got transfers wrong has he the odd one or two maybe.jc

Agree1 Disagree1

Why do people criticise the way people write on here. We are all everton fans and most of us write on mobiles so doesn't turn out well! come on dudes we are the toffees and what a start we have made! {Ed001's Note - just to put the record straight, Adam is on 30k a week, I don't know where these fantasy 60k figures have come from.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He aint worth 5 million - get tommy ince in or if we have money - walcott.

Agree0 Disagree0

£4/5m being virtually all money we have left is a lot to spend on Charlie Adam when he wont improve our starting XI and will only be cover. Mirallas for the same money will be draughted in to improve us, Adam will only cover and wont improve us.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason a lot have gone off him is simple, when he was asked to play for a better team he couldn't step up his game. There are tiers of players and for years we bought top 10 players at best like AJ and Carsley, we then moved on to top 5 players with Fellaini, Arteta and got lucky with prospects like Cahill and Jelavic.

Adam had never been tested in a team expected to win, even in promotion with Blackpool they were constant underdogs, the pressure to beat teams at the RS has shown he is not a top 5 player, they have been caught out with Downing and Henderson as well. No he was a prospect who couldn't adapt to the expectancy of a crowd so to the RS i say thank you for taking that bullet for us.

Mike aintree

Agree0 Disagree0

Adam has been tesyed in a team expected to win everygame. Rangers. He failed at gers. He can also play right bk but I wudnt want him. Happy wen he left gers don't want him at my other love everton

Agree1 Disagree0

Top post Big C quite right too, give him a chance if moyes wants him.

Birmingham City interested in snapping up Everton Striker Victor Anichebe for around £3million GBP, however the deal could stall as Everton maybe using Anichebr as a make way to get to Bkackpools Ince and Phillips, it was originally thought moyes was interested in just 1 but it seems he is willing now to Shift 4.5m + Victor for the pair.

Believable17 Unbelievable11

Birmingham are like us last summer not a pot to p... in

Agree0 Disagree0

Only one problem mate, David Moyes does not do part exchange deals, but i must admit that it's a decent rumour.
Ste F 1878.

Agree1 Disagree0

Birmingham are not allowed to sign any one. Their assets are frozen, sounds painful.

Agree1 Disagree1

Southampton are apparently willing to pay £6m for Phillips, so no-go there I reckon.

Agree1 Disagree1

Would be a brilliant deal if it happened.

Agree0 Disagree1

I posted a few weeks ago that I have a friend at work that follows Blackpool home and away and the best friend of one of their players. I posted that he told me that Ince is seen as the better prospect. He said today that the Blackpool talk is Everton to buy Phillips for £6 million and Anichebe on loan for season.
Jon

Agree1 Disagree0

He's not good enough for a team below us then why would we want their cast offs. Could not resist I cheap dig at the kopites.

Agree1 Disagree0

I have both family and friends at work who follow Blackpool home and away (I only live 5mins from the ground) and they all rate ince head and shoulders above Phillips! They're made up at the prospect of 6m for Phillips and from what I've witnessed of him I'm not bloody surprised! Overrated in my opinion, however Ince was a choice I posted about on here during the playoff final against west ham. Having kept an eye on his performances since then, I'm even more convince he'd be an ideal addition to our set up.

Blue Dazzle

Agree0 Disagree0

Every time I watch ince I like the lad. He had a good game at goodison last year in the cup. Only one who stands out for me. Raw talent which could be improved. When team pay the likes of 10 mill for Jarvis , Blackpool would not knock back 5 for ince .

Agree1 Disagree0

Everyone I know, even blackpool fans on their fans website rate Ince as a hotter prospect by far.Anichebe plus cash and hope they will sell

Agree0 Disagree0

Ince didn't leave the rs cause he wasn't good enough he left for first team football

Ed,please tell me that Rooney won't be coming on loan?
GoodisonAlex {Ed051's Note - No chance

Believable6 Unbelievable17

Just when you've thought you'd heard it all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone that says they don't want Rooney back is just stupid! There's no chance he will come back now but I believe he will be back one day. He said he was
Leaving to win things and thats what he's done. Know
One would turn down man u because there aassive
Club.

Agree0 Disagree1

Wow where did you hear that rumour... Never Never Land?
Dave M

Agree1 Disagree0

Rooney coming to us. dont be stupid. your crazy. he may be an everton fan and people finish their carreers at the club they support, but not rooney. where have you heard that from. hes too good for us. maybe in 5 years if he has a broken leg. but not when he is on full form. STANEFC1

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha, whatever as if you wouldnt have him back, we all would

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumours coming out of manchester! is that wayne & whiskey nose had a massive bust up!..and are now trying to off load him to man city!..If city have any sense they will leave him were he is.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well one can only hope he has had a massive bust up and gets sold to someone for big coin... dont we get a percentage?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm kinda sure we get 10% of anything over £20m anything under and we get nowt.

Gods Doctor

Agree0 Disagree0

Talk about delusional

Agree1 Disagree0

Ive always said he will be back, any man that has his child in an everton kit deserves respect not abuse.the money we got from him saved us at the time and gave us Tim Cahill. Stop giving him abuse he is a Toffee

Rumours are flying round that Niang has signed a four-year deal with AC Milan. I've also read that Moyes was shaping his movement for other targets around the deal for Niang, meaning that if he does sign for Milan, then Moyes has got other targets lined up. So it's all doom and gloom despite (reportedly) missing out on a target!
PS I hope we do make a move for Gouffran, he's a good player and £1.5m for a 26 year-old is a bargain! COYB!

Murf

Believable13 Unbelievable6

Niang is obviously not very ambitious Murf..
Hope the Doyle rumour is just that... I'd be happy with keeping who we have
Dave M

Agree0 Disagree1

I read his wiki yesterday and it said he had signed for them last night, anyone can change wiki.
Joe EFC {Ed051's Note - Anyone can change the page

Agree1 Disagree0

Never believe someones wiki page

Agree0 Disagree0

Doom and gloom? we've just won the first 2 games.Lost out on Niang a 17yr old who we probably wouldn't see all season, so what! It all makes for an exciting deadline day COYBs.

Agree1 Disagree0

Anyone can write on wikipedia mate..if you believe wikipedia for transfers then we've signed a lot more players this summer than we actually have!

Murf

Agree1 Disagree0

Anyone can edit wiki pages :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats what I said and I replied on the wrong I was making that point to someone else.

Everton still looking to do some more transfer dealings in and out before window closes.

Outs
Heitinga £6.5m
Anichebe £2.5m

Ins
Steven Taylor
Kevin Doyle
Ivan Klasnic (stumbling block is personal terms he's without a club, if he drops them its a goer)
Russell from Dundee
Adams only if Liverpool accept £3m - they need to sell as can't buy until players go out

Believable2 Unbelievable17

If Liverpool can't buy until players go out, we shouldn't bother buy Adam. Let them be stuck with him, so they can't buy anyone who could improve their team, which wouldn't be hard.

Agree1 Disagree1

Why would we let johnny go, we have no experienced cover at the back, and just because he sat on the bench for two games everyone thinks that it hes going, c'mon there are atleast 40games to go this season maybe more so don't see jonny going at all!

Agree1 Disagree0

If we sold heitinga and anichebe we will all most 17 million to spend that with the rodwell money seriously i would buy ton ince and Gouffran i think this will be a very busy week for us

Agree1 Disagree1

I'm sorry but why oh why would we sell John Heitenga... We have very little cover at Centre Half.... Also £6m give your head a wobble he's a classy defender established Dutch international with 2 years left on his contract and in the current market... Spuds paid £12m for Bassong from the barcodes and then gave him away.

Dave M

Agree1 Disagree0

Heitinga isnt going anywhere hes said hes staying and i believe him, 2 games on the bench doesnt mean hes going it means we have great competition for places.

Doyle and Russell may happen but the other three are utter garbage rumours

Agree0 Disagree0

£6.5m for Heitinga? Think you're about £3m short there fella

Agree1 Disagree0

Woulnt even consider letting our player of the season Heitinga go. Your keyboard bust be broken as u accidently typed 6.5 instead of 15

PTF

Agree1 Disagree0

Taylor will be good defence back up.
Adam good but rival team can?

Milan have only offered Caen a loan deal with a view to buy. Everton and Caen have reached an agreement. It's upto the player to decide whether he wants to stay with us of go to Italy.. AC have given him until 31 August to decide, then the deal offered by them expires.
So fellow blues it's down to he player to decide in a nutshell.. It's down to Caen to stand firm
Dave M

Believable9 Unbelievable5

He's signed for Milan

Agree1 Disagree0

The sources I've found are from tribal football and inside futball so not very reliable I will believe it first when it's on SSN

Agree1 Disagree1

I thought so to and 99% will go to milan but just checked Official AC Milan site and no mention.

Sure he will go tho.

Leon EFC

Agree1 Disagree0

Guys hes 17 unproven at this level, so no worries. Seems every young kid is the next wonderkid these days,

Agree1 Disagree0

He's signed for them whatever the offer was....back to the drawing board

Agree0 Disagree0

On milan site thy signed him lastnight

Agree1 Disagree0

On a web site he has signed for AC Milan.

Agree1 Disagree0

I've looked on the Milan site and I can't see that he's signed for them. Not that I doubt it at all. What is amusing AC Milan have made an enquiry about Nicolas Bentner... Shows how ambitious they truly are... Good luck Niang... Thiery Henry loved it in Italy .... NOT!
Dave M

Agree1 Disagree0

He's off to Milan to sit on there bench or be loaned out. At 17 I cannot see him going into the first team! Saying that he would have been a reserve player with us!!

the m'villa an owen rumours are just rumours, the only players we've contacted are kayal, goufrann, naing but an offer has been made for doyle

Believable8 Unbelievable8

No disrespect but this is not a player who most supporter want to see at goodison doyle is a hard worker, but his goals for games says it all.

Agree0 Disagree0

You can have doyle for nothing, hes rubbish and would not work well with jelavic(wolves fan here btw)

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Aug 2012 23:01:39
There are xciting times ahead as moyes is keen on playin attacking football, the reason am saying this my itk guy has said we have enquired about Doyle an Russell an made a 1.5 mil bid 4 Johan gouffran, if u don't believe Snd but my guy is always 100% just giving ya round up lads don't shoot me down!.....BlueMafiaMan
