I watched most of the game today and thought we were in second gear for most of it . I thought there were some positive signs Baines and Richarlison linked well and Sandro and Coleman also. Sigurdsson had some nice touches but is trying to get back up to speed. Gana was everywhere and trying to win everything. Keane looked like he wanted to bring the ball out but nervous Jags looked frustrated.
There is often too much negativity on here so that’s not happening in this post.
On the result I’ve seen seasons when we won every preseason game and then had a stinker of a season conversely I’ve seen have preseasons like this one and we’ve had a stormer even winning the league ( not that I’m suggesting that’s going to happen this season) but it’s all too early to tell how it’s going to go so let’s hope MS learned more about his squad we got some more minutes under the belt and hopefully some signings to come in.
I’m going to keep the Faith and see how it looks at Christmas. As the saying goes it’s a marathon not a sprint.

I’m with you mate - keep the faith! As the old adage goes - you win or you learn. MS will learn more about the players/ system in games like today than he would if they were turning sides over 22-0.

Not just us but I've noticed that teams through our divisions have good seasons on the back of crap pre seasons. hope our 22 nil win don't bite us in the bum lol.

Let’s not forget we have fielded almost two sides in each game we have played so far.
What I want to see in our last pre season game is as close to our starting 11 as possible, with only a few substitutions being made in the match.

Where we have the right personel we look good and can see it's only going to get better. That's upfront.
At the back Jags and Baines are far too slow and I think they both new it today. Jags looked totally dejected after one of the goals and had a look of resignation.
Now the good news and the massive difference to last year. Brand and Silva know it and are doing something about it.
Digne has pretty much done and they've been trying most of the summer for mina.
There's no buying 3 No.10 or someone because he has one good game against us.
I would though if I was them look for another CB making it two and a good no8 who adds real drive in that centre of midfield.
Pickford, Digne and Mina will add pace and aggression this defence needs.

Just watched are latest friendly and richalinson looks a very good signing and scored good goal think he will be even better once Walcott or lookman is on the other wing so we have a threat on both wings. But with the season only 2 weeks away there has still been no solving of some weakness we had last season like the lack of pace in defence, midfield plus are lack of goals and creativity in are team. Ed I saw on liverpool echo that we have supposed to put a bid in for club brugge Brazilian striker Wesley do you know if this has any substance and is he any good in your opion.

I really don't think striker is a position of concern. It is the midfield and defence.

But I think Wesley would be a shocking signing. Injuries have plagued his career and he hasn't actually spent any length of time in Europe compared to age.

Just winding about RLC, papers saying about a loan, do you think this will come as a late transfer, will Chelsea wait and see who they bring in before letting him go on loan, if they do this at all.

Hi Ed, what seems to be the difficulty with the Mina deal. Is he holding on due to his options, possibly seen Manchester United and Lyon linked. Or is it because we still haven't gave a Barcelona an acceptable offer? Feels like it's been dragging on and possibly best if we move on to Gibson. Cheers mate.
