Dear oh dear oh dear, what the hell is this buffoon of a manager on ffs? In his radio interview tonight he said and I quote "Were not concerned about points were more concerned about performances". hummmm thoughts please.

Having said from the outset and still do believe he is not the Manager for us nevertheless I think that sometimes we misunderstand what he is on about. Of course he is concerned about points and finishing as high as we can but he is also wanting the best performance out of us. Haven't seen the match yet but understand Mac was injured but what about Lennon for Del Boy, why not Mirallas.

It is many years since I have woke feeling so dissilutioned about my club.
yes we have been in worse situations, but yesterdays performance beggars believe. All this talk of top four, we are all dissilutioned. Manchester clubs even playing badly will be above us as will reds with new manager, Arsenal and Spurs as well as Leicester at this rate and don't discount Chelsea as its a marathon, not a sprint.
RM overall lost us the game with his subs too late and wrong ones.
in his first season I recall how refreshing it was in making changes at half time.
it is clearly obvious he has a problem with Mirralas and is acting in a very unprofessional way in my opinion.
Finally as we all know best form of defence is attack .
As for Tues night! Starting to forget were Wembley is.
truth is I think tbey think they are better than they are and strutt about too much.
So much fuss is made of Barclay some of Leicester midfield run rings round him.
sorry but don't see us finishing above 7 th at best.

{Ed025's Note - bloody hell trebor, talk about going over the top!...yes we should have won it mate but come on, we are playing some nice stuff and are holding our own in the hardest league in the world, add to that our exciting young team and things are not too bad at all imo..

What are you talking about Leicester midfield running rings round him? Have we played Leicester yet? . I don't think top four will happen, Klipperty is a boss manager and Harry Kane is back scoring open goals. Deulofeu, Stones and Lukaku have been 3 of the top 12-15 players in the league this season. We are banging goals in, yesterday was clear in the mistakes we made, was it a freak game? Possibly. We are playing some of the best football in the league this season add on to that how young our team is. I'm as gutted as anyone with the result but where were all the doom and gloom posters (and that's coming from me! ) after the Villa game. Or are you all coming out from under your rocks to go to Goodison next week so you can start moaning again. Come on lads, so much improved from last season and we have had as tough a start as you can get, better fixtures coming up, cheer up.

Accept that ed but having followed blues since 1958 I don't accept holding our own as good enough but perhaps what we must accept in future.
still got strong reservations about RM and his tatics and his stubborn streak

{Ed025's Note - your in my age bracket trebor, and like me seen the good the bad and the ugly that has been served up over the years, i believe we have a really good team in the making here mate, yes i would like a few better quality players brought in but we have what we have and although we wont win the league i expect us to have a high finish. im on the fence regarding bobby, sometimes he floats my boat and at other times leaves me scratching my head..but one things for sure im enjoying the ride mate..

I don't always agree with you swan but I do for sure this time. Frustrating result yesterday but I'm enjoying watching us play again.

Totally agree with Swan and Ed. I was a big fan of Moyes. On the fence about Martinez still like you Ed. One thing about Martinez is that it is exciting football and seldom gets boring. I'm excited bout the team we have. Think if we hold the players we have and gradually introduce quality the future looks bright.

Too many people making a big deal of yesterday. Yes we should of won and yes we were desperate in the second half. As you say Ed, that's football and it is evitable it is going to happen. Guaranteed it will happen again this season. Hate seeing it happen but annoys me as soon as we have a bad result/performance people start calling for heads.

One funny observation, at least the board and Big Bill are getting a break from the put downs of the fans. Martinez is getting all the flack at the moment.

Of course if results like yesterday become more frequent and we end up in the bottom half of the table I could understand the criticism. Until then I will support Everton through the good and bad results and enjoy the football that is being played. Loving Del boy brings a good step to games.

I don't think it is making a big deal about yesterday but leading 2-0 and then to let the leash slip is bad managing in my book. I do like the football we are playing but also need a bit of resolve. We are currently 8th and if the other lot win today we will be 9th. If it stays like that, in 3 seasons that means we have taken a step backwards from the Moyes era. However you look at it, the first season the back line were still playing on residual memory of the Moyes tactics, last season RM played around, couldn't make his mind up and we saw the results. Yesterday he made one swap because of injury and then took del boy off for Lennon when we had another real direct runner in Morallas sitting on the bench.

Loosing a 2-0 lead as bad as it sounds happens frequently, do you not remember when we drew 4-4 with United a few years ago and that was a top United team, it's not uncommon. To have won the previous games like we did and to have one bad 45 minutes and all the nay sayers start slating Martinez I think is a bit harsh. We're playing the best football we've played in a long time and at times scoring for fun. Things could be far far worse.

{Ed025's Note - good points there tron..

We're playing great football and banging goals in, no one can have any complaints with the way Martinez has got us playing this season. However there's no excuse for letting a two goal lead slip with 10 mins to go. Every time they went forward at the end it looked like they were going to score. If we can't keep Bournemouth out for 10 mins then we got problems. Then to score 5 mins into stoppage and still not be able to hold on is disgraceful. On a separate note Howard should be dropped it's a disgrace that he keeps his place despite Robles performing brilliantly in his absence. Everyone should have to earn their place and that's sending out the wrong message playing Howard unconditionally. Rant over.
