Man Utd are going to come in late for Baines and or Fellaini.
It will be big money for Baines near the 20m price is my honest opinion.
The money will be re-invested in the squad

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Sadly I agree, just hope it's not too late for us to replace Fellaini. I don't think we need to replace Bainsey as Oviedo and Alcaraz can both do a good job at LB.

Agree1 Disagree1

You say this as if it is truth and then say it's you're opinion?

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe Haines will go for no more than 14 million and that's with only about 10mill up front

Agree0 Disagree0

If its just your opinion then its a guess

Denis Cheryshev apparently getting watched, possible loan. Anything Ed?

Tom {Ed025's Note - hes just signed a new 4yr deal at madrid tom..

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Doesnt mean they can't loan him out. RW

Agree0 Disagree1

We supposedly made a bid last January which got turned down, he's thought very highly of at Madrid but I don't think he is a Martinez target anyway

Away kit to be revealed in 7 days and 16 hours, according to the official site

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Been looking online to see if there are any images of it. Seen one that shows a bright orange top with navy collar and navy Chang logo, navy shorts and socks.

Agree1 Disagree0

I've seen one which is solid black with blue collar and trim on the end of the sleeve. That said, the website that leaked this also leaked a picture of our home kit, a while ago, which was completely wrong.

I reckon Everton will sell either baines or fellaini very end of the window. I can just see it coming! I think we will bring in a few good to average players to cover for this happening but I feel that if we do lose either or both we won't necessarily have the experience/quality that they brought to the team although I do think Fellaini can look disinterested in some games and picks and chooses when he want to play but still a great player on his day. I will also be gutted if we do sell or loan out Jelavic as I think he will be a top class player under rm. I think him and Kone up front will be a great partnership.

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Optimism at it's finest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah total optimism, I bet the kids love the Santa is not real lecture on Christmas Eve.

I would like to know if he's staying or going its Anoying this could be a great season for us preseason has been good so far just hope it does not destabilise us

Agree0 Disagree0

It's just an opinion that I think at least one of them is going! The longer the wait goes on the more I'm convinced it will happen. United not brought any players in yet and we not come out saying won't sell, just saying offers for baines not high enough! So this fills you with confidence does it?

Now Ross is starting to get a game I think it's only a matter of time before he turns 40 yards out and smashes one into the top corner

Believable17 Unbelievable3

I agree. He will be bending them in from the corner of the box right into the top bin from soon enough.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yep. I reckon it'll be 2-2 away to United, last minute of Fergie time ( which'll probably still happen under Moyes ) and he'll blast one from 40, it'll hit the under side of the bar then the floor then backspin over to the United dugout and hit Moyes in the eye! The ref will blow the whistle, game over 2-3 win away to United. Happy days :)

everton in for porto star fernando, he's a cm, quality passer and breaks up play very well

Believable7 Unbelievable9

He has a 30 million euro buyout clause and Porto say they will not accept any less.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's good but Porto are notoriously hard negotiators and if the above releas w clause is true they're not accepting less than 20m

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Jul 2013 21:25:12
One small problem. he has a 30m Euros buy out clause according to this

Liverpool echo report RM. interested to sign Mc. Carthy and Mo Diame. Impossible to do that. I think he will select only best choice. I hope Diame will be selected. Alderweireld supposed to buy also within 17m. expected budget.

Hi Edd, can you tell me if Deulefou is our "big signing" we were expecting? Cheers

Rich84 {Ed025's Note - im not sure rich, but i expect a big signing is still to come mate..

Believable6 Unbelievable0

He is not our big signing! If anybody we have already got is our big signing it would be Kone, as he is more proven (Although he isnt!) Deulofeu is just a wonder kid who is taking the next step, with us, a risk free move which may turn into an impact signing. RM has just improved the sqaud at the moment, just like Rodgers; he will know look to bring in a few first-team players. I expect McCarthy to be our big signing but I also expect around 2 more fairly big players to come. the likes of Alderwield, Diame, Hossiner, Moses. (although I couldn't see RM bringing in McCarthy and Diame. I believe Everton and RM will shcok a few this season with their signings. We could sign up to four more players this window, depending on the cost of the players. Eg if we bought Diame instead of McCarthy we could buy one or even two more players. If a striker is in immediate risk of being sacrificed it is Anichibe. I like the lad, but can understand why RM would cut him rather than Jelavic, for example; Jela has shown he can be a clinical finisher when he is on form, Anichibe has shown he can play fairly well with little end product when he is on top of his game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will it be a player like McCarthy for big money as a big signing or a good player for a decent price?

We must have money to spend. can't see martinez taking the job if he only had £6-7mill to spend!

Believable12 Unbelievable8

He obviously has more bcus he spent 6. 5 on Kone and 3mil on Joel so possibly more in the kitty

vellios going out on loan after us tour due to high competition up front between jelavic, kone and victor. exspect heitinga to go and another cb to arrive, coyb

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Thats your opinion not a rumour

Agree0 Disagree0

If he was going out on loan, why take him on the tour at all?

Agree1 Disagree0

We need 4 strikers at the start of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

We have another striker - Mirallas. If we play 1 up front and 3 attacking players behind then we're more than covered. Makes sense for Vellios to go out. bags of potential but needs the experience

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jul 2013 08:34:55
Distin saying RM doesn't need to spend anymore. meaning we have ran out of money. All rumours in us having money to spend is probs a load of bs

Believable8 Unbelievable15

We have money believe me but why should we let other clubs know this?

29 Jul 2013 09:36:35
Or maybe distin believes we have a good enough squad to compete for Europe. just because a player comes out and says we don't need to buy more doesn't mean we have no money. unless you think we are so broke, Dustin is moonlighting as our accountant trying to save us money. post rumours not just negative heresay.

Agree3 Disagree0

Obvious bull rumour, the manager would say we don't have any more money, not a player

Agree0 Disagree0

How often does a player at any club come out saying how the squad is so poor and we need to spend millions to improve it

Agree0 Disagree0

Distin is just voicing his content of the acquisitions and the sqaud as whole. Distin is being positive whilst some people on here are twisting it into something negative. Why would we make enquires about players who would cost a double figure sum, and some that would cost about 6 mil if we were skint?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with post bk has done it again the big transfer kitty trick. we are depending on the sales of fellini and baines to raise cash, a bk special

Agree0 Disagree0

Saying we don't need to spend anymore is not the same as not having any money though is it? What will probably happen is that one or two players will really come through in the new system (Barkley, I'm looking at you) and others will struggle. In january or next summer, we'll have a much clearer idea of what's needed and the cash we save this year can be put to better use.

Agree0 Disagree0

"bk has done it again". Would that be getting Everton to finish just outside the European places and above our big-spening rivals?

I would be happy with macarthy And hoisnier. If felli wants to go then let him. Great player but attitude can be in question at times. Replace him and let's give Robbie. Our full support, win, lose or draw.

Out

All agree.

In

Alderweireld 9 m.
Barrada 10 m.
Sinclair 5 m.

Agree1 Disagree1

Would like to see gueye stay. I've always liked him and he is very young and has great potential

Agree1 Disagree5

Think you are in the minority who rates Gueye. I think he is getting sold by Martinez, didn't see his name on the trip to the US.

Agree1 Disagree0

So why are Heitinga and Naismith in the squad that's travelled to the USA? RM has already said that injured players (like Baines) wouldn't have travelled if he wasn't likely to have recovered to play, so why on earth would players definitely on their way out (according to the OP) have been included in the travelling squad? Get a grip :-)
Happy-Camper

Agree0 Disagree0

Happy-Camper, RM could well be looking to sell these players, in fact doing all he can do to get rid of them. But he does have to face the possibility of those players remaing, and therefore that is why they are still part of the sqaud.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sitea: Is this the Barrada who has just signed for Al Jazira?

Whoever it is who rated Gueye: No.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with outs + big vic 3m
Ins
McCarthy 12m or medel 6m
Moses or Sinclair loan
Hoisner 4m

Agree0 Disagree0

So why - using the logic of the earlier poster - aren't Gueye and Junior in the tour party? RM must want to see how the 24 players on tour perform before deciding what to do with the squad - either bringing others in and/or moving some out. I just don't think he's definitely made up his mind about everyone in the tour party - but it does look like the writing's on the wall for Gueye and Junior. Whether they get loan deals or permanent moves is moot. Besides, I'm confident the new management/coaching staff will prune the dead wood (as they see it - not as some fans do) and bring as many youngsters through as possible alongside any quality signings. He wants a tight knit group of committed talented players of the right character.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is trying to raise £6million to fuel a swoop for Chilean midfield general Gary Medel

We have spent about £5 mill & are now struggling to raise £6 mill, so much for the supposedly £17 mill we had to spend and the crap big Bill came out with when he announced Martinez as the new manger and said he would have money to spend {Ed025's Note - we do have money, but if Mcarthy is costing £15m that is a big chunk gone, let bobby decide how he wants to spend..

Believable6 Unbelievable10

How do you know he trying to raise the money? Because 1 paper reported it we don't even know if we're in for this guy ffs

Agree1 Disagree0

Would prefer us to be in for this guy than McCarthy to be honest, but love the people who get all heated up by one newspaper article and have a go at something they know nothing about.

Agree4 Disagree0

The press are reporting that target and reporting that we are trying to raise funds. It's not necessary true. We could still have funds but Martinez maybe assessing what he has already got before making a move to strengthen in other areas.

Agree2 Disagree0

Probably 'raising the cash' also means getting rid of the highly paid other players that Medel would replace (eg. Heitinga).

And like everyone else said, how do you know this guy is the #1 priority. Clubs would sound out and even start negotiating with more players they can afford to have, so not to get caught without anything on deadline day if priority 1, 2 & 3 fall-through (or even one of your own players are sold).

Agree1 Disagree0

SO just because this rag journo has decided to say this it means it's true? Don't be so niave mate and wise up eh.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed what players do you think will be coming and going? I think we may see matri and McCarthy coming in and jelavic, heitinga and gueye leaving. Hope we get rid of naismith too and manage to get at least one more in
Cheeks {Ed25's Note - its hard to say cheeks, there are that many names in the frame mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to take account of wages aswell for the new arrivals, ie £40k a week is over £2m a year, so that will be considered when spending say £6m on Kone etc. ie that may be £8m of the transfer kitty gone.

I believe that BK has given Bobby the money to spend, but he is just biding his time for the marquee signing, as wants to get the right player to fit the team.

Got to back to man, and got to back Bill. he stretches himself for this club, and you can only respect that.
