Sell him and sell Stones, unfortunate but both a no brainer. Players who don't want to be at that club need to be offloaded as soon as possible. We have a fantastic signing in Mr Walsh who will find replacements none of us have even heard of before for less than half the money. Life doesn't end without a player or two, they will be replaced.

I totally agree, get rid. were holding out for 75mil.

It's all very well saying sell them, but with regards to Lukaku in particular, where from and with who do you suggest we replace him? Putting aside the antics of him and his agent, where do we find a player who will score as many goals as him and who will come to a club that can't offer European football? It's not as easy as you think, we haven't exactly signed loads of players in any position yet have we? Goal scoring centre forwards are as rare as hens teeth. Stones is a different issue, centre halves are a bit easier to find. City are saying £40m is their final offer, then the answer has to be NO. The price is £50m. Remember, they came to us to buy OUR player we haven't been hawking him around in a desperate bid to get some cash, those days are over for us with the arrival of Moshiri. People need tolook at the bigger picture before rushing to bin players off.

Chelsea transposed the numbers.

30 Jul 2016 13:39:39
I think we should stick with lukaju evaluation, but should try and reach a mutual comprise between city's valuation and ours. Just try and get the kid out now.

30 Jul 2016 18:03:03
I think if they offer £65m we will accept for lukaku.

Also city are being very cheeky with their offer. They either meet the valuation or no deal. We don't need to sell anymore and they're acting like we're desperate for the money!

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jul 2016 20:26:28
Only 2 teams that finished above us had strikers that scored more than lukaku. The other 8 teams had strikers with 10, 11, 12 goals and they still finish above us. If he wants to go then let him, get the most we can and let's start building for the future.

I've seen a report palace want begovic on loan which seems a bit strange. That would mean they have hennessey, mandanda and specific plus begovic.

Ed do you know if there is anything in this as we are supposedly in for begovic. Surely a better move than 2nd/ 3rd choice at palace.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - that might be an old story being recycled as they were interested prior to signing Mandanda.}

Thanks Ed.

I've just been listening to radio city talk Connor Phillips show and after talking about about pogba going to Man U being reported in l'equippe, he then went on to say "now Everton fans I'm not going to say I've got news after 5 O'clock but in the next couple days all I will say is this is for you" and then played Bon jovi keep the faith, which also has the line " forgive you wayward son" . Make of that what you will but I'm hoping someone is coming home to the blues.

Yey! Fellaini coming back lol.

Mate it could be fellainI as well. I hope not because that would be 8 defendive mid fielders and no attacking centre mids.

Jeez. let the Rooney coming back story die a natural death will ya? We want players coming up to their peak not past it!

Hi eds

Have we signed gana gueye?

A lot of posts saying he's passed his medical and just wondering if it's true.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I have been out all day so not sure. Last I heard deal was all agreed awaiting medical results, so could be.}

29 Jul 2016 15:09:00
Apparently Roberto Di Matteo has announced in a press conference today that Gueye will join us after we have met the release clause.

I'd be very happy with him tbh as he won't cost a fortune and he's proven in the Prem.

What do you guys think? Are you happy with him or would you rather we went after more expensive options like witsel or carvalho who aren't guaranteed to be good enough.

Sir, This season more than any other in living memory is a bad season to be signing players because of perceived value. With the sky payments to clubs, every players value has gone up. The more sensible clubs will be going for the lower priced diamonds out there if they can find them. Between RK and SW we stand a very good chance of finding them.

What we must remember is that we will have a squad full of potentially big names, and maybe Gueye is one of those. One thing is for certain no matter who we bring on board RK will get the best out of them.

29 Jul 2016 15:27:04
I'm happy to he honest, has the raw materials for a very good player and his running might make others around him move abit more.
His fee is nothing but price is not always a factor and if koeman can sort out his passing ability will be a good backbone player.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jul 2016 15:33:24
Wouldn't have chosen him to be fair, but his stats seem to make me look a mug. If he does join us, I'm willing to look stupid providing he brings the goods. Verdict still open for me at the moment.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jul 2016 15:38:14
He's one of very few Villa players to retain his dignity and his stats are good, but stats for relegated teams can often be misleading. Scott Carson has had the most saves in the league on more than one occasion I believe. I think he could be a good signing, but I'd rather we went for
Witsel or Carvalho simply as a declaration of intent. I think we're at a point now where we could be on the up, but we've got to actually show some ambition in order to do so. Signings like Gueye and Stekelenburg aren't going to move us forward or scare our opponents.

Agree1 Disagree2

29 Jul 2016 15:41:31
Didn't he just confirm that he would be leaving? Didn't see us mentioned at all in the report I saw - but I hope it is true.

29 Jul 2016 13:20:36
Just seen that napoli have confirmed that we've bid 45m euro for koubilaly. we want this guy then.

Hope we do the same for carvalho.

29 Jul 2016 14:13:08
I hope we get this bloke and just f*** chelsea off.

It is a massive fee for a defender but selling Stones for 50mill (approx) softens the blow.

He is an absolute beast physically and has decent feet as well tbf to him. Watched a lot of Napoli games last season (for betting purporses) and he is like a love child of hierro and cannavaro.

25 as well so lots left in the tank.

Hope it all kicks off this week, just seen the mahrez rumours as well.

Got a right jolt on.

29 Jul 2016 14:36:32
Dont really need carvalho if we sign that villa dm. Plus i think that guy from villa will do ok here.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jul 2016 15:47:55
See your point. think we need to signore a crestive mid as must. Not a 10 but a box to box or deep playmaker to compliment ross and the lak.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jul 2016 11:32:52
I've now saw 3 different sites reporting Everton have declared their interest in Mahrez. Are they just picking players to link with us for fun now or is this genuine? I suppose it makes a change to us selling everyone now we are just buying everyone.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I would think the chances of him moving to Everton would be very low indeed.}

29 Jul 2016 11:40:03
I think you are being optimistic Ed 😃.

29 Jul 2016 12:14:42
Like I said yesterday we are being put in mix to force deals through or help players and agents get improved contracts. The Aranoutovic deal was a classic example. Worst thing we did was tell the world we have money to spend!

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jul 2016 12:19:49
Italian reporter saying we bid for koulibaly is this true? Saying we're offering player better financial package too!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Read the posts.}

29 Jul 2016 13:06:39
At the end of the day, if we are willing to pay big money and wages and the player is money oriented, we have a chance, but like all the other players, they have a lot of choice with other clubs having big money to spend now, I doubt this would be true.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jul 2016 13:26:01

Eds

Would everton be intrested in fosu mensa from mufc. right back and a good young player in my humble opinion?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of. I am sure Koeman knows all about him though.}

There getting rid of some class players. perreira and fosu being the best two. Id love them at goodison.

29 Jul 2016 10:34:15
He will be a good signing if we get it over the line but according to sun we have had a bid of 14 million turned down for kone and he isn't for sale even with the player interested in joining us.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jul 2016 11:00:01
They're playing hardball because they have one of if not the smallest transfer budget of all Premier league teams. Unless Moyes can produce another Cahill or Arteta for them they will be in a market they can't compete in so they are looking for top dollar for the lad. Can't blame em' really.
