Don't shoot the messenger but have just seen on the Everton rumours website there could be a swap deal involving Arteta and Coleman in the summer. This was not on the main Everton site so pinch of salt I think.

Wouldnt read anything into it m8.why swap one of the best full backs in the league for a 30 odd year old midfielder.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah, saw it to.
but coleman is essential for us in the coming years, and we can find a better player than Arteta if we qualify for europe next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would anybody in their right mind do this deal, the boy is under a long term contract, playing well, and seems very content.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just the usual gossip because of the time of year I hope, agree Coleman is pivotal in our quest for Europe just get the feeling we are a feeder team for the top four sometimes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jcw your right who in there right mind but you know how football works if the figures are right the player will walk( once a blue always a blue Rooney) Coleman on the other hand seems a genuine blue and has a great career, just thought I should share this as is a rumour site. coyb

This is a terrible deal for Everton and would be totally amazed if we even considered it
We have got some really good young midfielders coming through in the next season or 2 and if we need any more I would hope we would go for younger options

And the next newspaper story will say we will throw in Baines, Stones, Howard and a case of Chang beer for Arteta.

Onwards and upwards.

Agree0 Disagree0

I read that article too and what made it even more farcical is that we're the ones proposing the deal and not the other way around.

Forget about keeping Dell boy next season, Barca just banned from buying anyone in until summer 2015, they will need all they have got now

Well he wasn't needed this season at barca so why would he be needed next season when the squad will be the same?

Maybe because players skill levels decline the older they get

Agree1 Disagree0

Such a shame as I really like the kid and will only get better, But at the end of the day he wanted to go back anyway so who are we to stand in front of one of the brightest talents in football.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he has not gone anywhere yet mate..

I take your point but the players stopping him from getting anywhere near the team aren't likely to drop off next year. If they keep deulofeu next season I highly doubt he'll play anyway

Hope your right mate, would love him to stay another season

Agree0 Disagree0

Well let's all hope Bobbie can pull off another season loan with him fingers crossed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca will have the ban reduced to 6 months on appeal

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather go for a player we can eventually sign, no matter how good a loan signing is, there is no point if you have no chance to sign him permanently 'cause the team goes backwards when they leave
