everton for the title? anything could happen. Ed could you update us on the hleb situation. I heard hes going to some dutch team. Would be a great addition to our squad

EFL {Ed025's Note - i think he is going to olympiakos mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Hleb was rubbish at Brum. Almost as entertaining as watching Pires (trying to) run round like an old cart horse. Olympiakos or indeed any other club are welcome to him. I'd sooner what little cash is available be spent on prospects like Manolas or making Straq a permanent deal. BlueTone

Hleb, once upon a time, looked a real talent, but now , plonker, dispached by his last two clubs, hope we go nowhere near.

Just speaking with my mate and he reckons Hleb is having a trial with us shortly, know anything about it ed? {Ed001's Note - last I heard his agent was shopping him round Europe and he had a bite from Olympiakos, where it looks like he will sign.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I don't think we need Hleb, we have enough Midfielder's at the club- Donovan, Fellaini, Gibson, Drenthe, Coleman, Rodwell, Osman, Pienaar, Gueye, Barkley.... that's 10 plus the likes of Anichebe, Cahill and Heitinga can play there, no point in bringing a 30+ player who was rubbish for Birmingham to the club.
If anything, in the summer we should be concentrating on getting another striker, with Saha gone we only have a new signing and a couple of young lads who can play upfront

Heard owt Ed? Hleb? surly we not that desperate and are we gonna sign the Straq ? i know its a bit quiet. Whats the money like for someone in the know like you? Or is it name rank and serial number only. You do a great job by the way {Ed001's Note - the only person I have heard linked is a pre-contract for the Greek lad (was it Manolas?) to join in the summer on a free. Money? Well if you 025 then you are so rich you don't need money, you have heard of Lord Grantchester right? Well 025 once washed his car....}

Danijel Pranjic claims he came close to joining Everton on transfer deadline day, only for Bayern Munich to dash his dreams of making a move to England.

The Croatia international is out of favour at the Allianz Arena and was open to the prospect of moving on in January.

Everton were prepared to offer him a route out of Bayern, with David Moyes leaving it late to bolster his Goodison Park ranks.

Pranjic, who can operate in defence or in midfield, saw Bayern block his path, though, with their unrealistic demands causing talks to break down.

"I had an agreement with Everton for two-and-a-half years," the 30-year-old told Sportske Novosti.

Catastrophe

"I was ready to board a plane and I was really happy because I knew that Everton were serious and that they had big plans for me.

"But now it is all over and this is a catastrophe. I can't describe the negative feelings I have.

"Bayern wanted so much money that everybody knew that Everton would not pay.

"I'm so unhappy because I was sure that I would be leaving Bayern. I don't play and now the opportunity has gone and i am so unhappy"

Gutted for him

Gutted for him and us, the lad is a good player, was good at Hereenveen (sp?) in the Eredivisie, and under Van Gaal at Bayern, unfortunately under the new gaffer hasnt had much of a look in.

But the lad is extremely versatile, can play as an attacking mid, left winger and would of been Baines' cover at Lb sorted as well.

I think his contract runs out in the summer, so hopefully we might get an edge becasue we showed real interest in him and end up getting him for free.

Although he is 30, the lad could still do a job for 2-3yrs, enough time for the youngsters to get more time under their belts.

Is it just me or av i just got a tear in my eye reading it fookin n a z i bayern {Ed025's Note - john cleese was right!
