Hi Ed see united are after Baines again in jan. We were all happy we kept Baines and sold Fellaini for 27.5mill . With Baines being the best of the 2 dose that mean we could get 30mill for him. Age should, nt come into it as he, s at his peak. Moyes and united think they can single players out and buy them. We should hold out for as much as we can get, because Baines will be able to play c.l football and moyes really wants him. {Ed025's Note - because of his age, without a sell on value, he will cost around £15m IMO vinny, he is worth more to us, but thats realistic mate..

He's worth much more to us than a miserly £15m, if I had my way I'd make him stay for the duration of his contract when he'll be approaching 31. Can't see too many suitors then, maybe he'll sign a new contract if there aren't many attractive options. A contract extension now would obviously be preferable and pay him £100k.
If he goes on a free then we wouldn't be hugely out of pocket considering he was acquired for a bargain £6m.

His value to us is about £30m, but as an ageing full back, his market value is no where near that figure. I suspect they'll offer even lower this time round, and even if they don't, I can't imagine they'll go over £15m.

Meltdown Utd are reportedly expecting Everton full-back Leighton Baines to formally ask to leave the Merseyside outfit in the January transfer window.

The Premier League champions are said to be prepared to launch a fresh bid for the England international following their failed £15m effort in the summer window.

However, the club have told Baines's camp that they want him to submit a transfer request in order to push the move through, according to .
So, get no 'pay day bonus' and play in a mid table team in 2014/15?
Surely not Bainsey!

Bainesee would never put in a transfer request

Hope baines signs a contract soon so all these BS rumours can be put to bed. If he ain't signed by january then I think he will be sold to be honest. what's your thoughts Ed?
Cheeks {Ed025's Note - i would hope he would sign soon cheeks. but its hard to call..

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not just because reporting this, so did the Mail. Although how much is just lazy journalism I don't know.

However, when you look at the fact Robbie was talking about a new contract then within a short space of time there are no talks to be held. Who knows?

Don't know about you Mushy but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened, Gollum will be desperate come January (if still in charge) But if it does happen let's hope Robbie and Bill take a nice big chunk of the £100 million he is reported to have to spend off his hands and Robbie has another hidden gem to sign.

Baines submitted a transfer request in August.
