Madtoffee97 {Ed025's Note - defour was on the supporters wish-list..but maybe not davids..

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Defour signed for a portugese team a couple of weeks ago, Porto I think.

Just had a look at some public financial information concerning our beloved football club. It's saying for 2010 that their opperating profit is £17.6m and their total bank / overdraft facility is £16.1m, compared with other FC's that is very good. I think it's going to be ok..

Believable19 Unbelievable10

Where is this info availableand what is it - the 2010 accounts?

Arteta deal collapsed initially because he demanded 95k a week. Everton then told him him he was not wanted because he wanted to go so he had to drop his demands considerably.

Believable8 Unbelievable27

That is not what happened at all. Arsenal came in, Everton rejected the bid, then Arteta himself handed a transfer request because he wanted some CL football (understandable) and even dropped his wages to facilitate the move.

You cannot blame Moyes or the board, well at least I dont (however, beckford on the other hand is a different story). Arteta himself wanted the move, and I thought it was the right thing to do, he has given us 6+ yrs for us, and now he deserves a chance at CL football. Deal is good for us, however the timing was absolutely terrible

Just been told about a few strikers that are still available on a free, pick of the bunch were Victor Obinna, Zavon Hines, Ricardo Fuller, Diomansy Kamara, Benjani, James Mcfadden
That is in england but there is more strikers available in europe aswell.

Believable14 Unbelievable3

Yes they are free... But all s**t !

Agree0 Disagree0

Obinna is playing for Lokomotiv Moscow

Agree0 Disagree0

The only one i'd have is Victor Obinna but he has signed for Locomotive Moscow

Agree0 Disagree0

Id take mcfadden on a 1 year deal at this point

Agree0 Disagree0

Wot bout gignac is he free?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont see any point in signing any of these, would rather take the chance with Vellios and the Argie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hines has already signed for Burnley...

Agree0 Disagree0

With our luck we will end up with james beattie who been released from rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Who are the ones in europe ??
Obinna signed for Locomotiv Moscow didnt he ?
Mcfadden 1 year deal..... Not the worst shout ?
To be honest i can't see moyes bothering to bring anyone in {Ed025's Note - me neither..

Agree0 Disagree0

Benjani has went to portsmouth And obinna has went to a russian club

Agree0 Disagree0

Vittek from slovakia is on a free after being released by his club, he would be good to get on a free + he scored 4 goals at the world cup

Agree0 Disagree0

I think james mcfadden on a 2 year deal would be good, obviously not first choice but hes a better finisher than anichebe an hes capable of something special, plus keep him for back up this year an then sell him on next year, get some profit!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ricardo fuller isnt a bad player neither id have him one a 1 year deal see wat he can do {Ed025's Note - you think!!!!!..

Everton manager David Moyes will be given a chunk of midfielder Mikel Arteta's £10m fee to spend in the January transfer window after the Spaniard's move to Arsenal was done too late for Moyes to get a replacement. His priorities will be a midfielder and a striker.

Believable3 Unbelievable16

This is what should happen, but i am not sure it will. We are only probably a striker short of challenging for the europa league places

Agree0 Disagree0

Season will be over by then. to little to late. we going to have our usual run-in and finish 7th, yippeee!

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get someone like Lewis Holtby, then I will be satisified, I mean a 30yr old Arteta for a 21yr old Holtby would be a terrific deal imo and rest can go to the bank.

Although, saying that surely a striker has to be the priority if we get the money in January, after this season we will have no strikers left

Agree0 Disagree0

Donovan no doubt

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think you can get much of a midfielder and striker for thirty quid, its just more spin from the club, the money will be well salted in the bank never to be seen again, next to get itchy feet will be Fellaini who is the next bank instalment
