He turned us down, hence £15 mill was suddenly released. Fellaini out for 27.5 Mill, Anichebe out for? (think he will come back to haunt us). In Barry loan, Lukaku loan (good player but can we afford £20 Mill permanent), McArthy £13 Mill (Whelan has done us again) a lot for a relegated player. In all honesty a good trio in but is our Squad actually better and stronger now? It remains to be seen. A below top ten finish is on the cards.

Loan deals for the 2 better quality signings -- we won't be able to afford or buy either - we own less players so when the loans end the squad is weaker
Also you've taken 10 + goals a season out the midfield neither of the new midfield signings will get anywhere near that!
lakaula was a desperate punt because Kone is a waster - 9 months time you still have he struggling striker and no 6 million
We let junior go on loan as well so for a team that plays 5 in be middle we've got 7 midfielders 2 under 21 and on 2 on loan - how's this strengthening the squad!

Barry is in last year of his contract so would be free if we wanted him. Lukaku was not loaned to buy

Compared to what Roberto is used to it is a step up and with his 'talented abilities and back room staff' should be capable of getting us to finish above the bottom 3 for a couple of seasons. That is until he runs out of excuses.

Gutted Victor went, as another poster said hhe is going to come back and haunt us was just find his place then ousted. Would rather have him than Kone any day. Great price for Felli so happy with that one. He has been on his way for last couple of windows. good luck to him. Can we now leave Wigan to it. Sick of hearing that we are looking at their players. There was a reason they go relegated, manger was no good tactically and they had weaker players. We are lumbered with the manager but surely 4 relegated players is enough now. Come down off the ledge mate. No point keeping a player who wants to leave. Felli was a great servant to the club, but his ambitions have been reported for years. Vic turned out to be a decent bit of business and much as I rate him, he's the type of player who needed a fresh start elsewhere. Barry is a solid choice and if he does well and enjoys his time at Everton, we'll get him on a free next season. He's a player with something to prove, or as Rocky Balboa might say 'got a little something in the basement'. McCarthy is unfairly derided, but is young, already quality and can only improve and grow into his role. I think it's a good bit of business for a rising international player. If money isn't spent in January, then we can complain, but for now, we have definitely improved with these signings. It's good for all the other players too, who would have been disillusioned if we hadn't brought anyone in to freshen things up to fit Roberto's style. The game against Chelsea is going to be very interesting. As long as Lukaku starts. COYB!

Get Real. Gareth Barry earns 120k per week and we are rumoured to be paying all of it.

Its just naive to think we will spend this money in Jan, we've seen it for the last 10+ years. It will be more loan deal rubbish on the last day as per usual. I take the point the price for Fellaini was the best we could get, well done on that.

The issue is you have to re-invest in the club in one way or another. If we see investment into the infrastructure/ground or the academy I will be happy as larry. At present though we've just been mugged off again by our club.

And all this when the sky money is supposed to have gone up by approx 25-30 mil! so we will be spending 40 mil in Jan will we?

I agree with most on here, give BK some credit, slam him when he doesn't sign then slam him when he does. That a great fee for Felli. Only issue I have is there's that phrase again. "Roberto's style. ".what is that exactly? still don't know, don't think he does really.60% possession in every game and then draw or lose it seems.worrying.

I'm in "wait and see" mode right now with the deals done. Felli is a big miss and not sure McCarthy and Barry combined make up for that loss, but Lukaku as a replacement for Vic is decent short-term. Seems to me he's showing a lot of faith in Barkley as well.

I'm not expecting all the profits to be spent, but I doubt they'll all disappear, think 1 more in Jan from the money wherever we're struggling at that time. And reduce that crippling debt a bit more.

Some people are just never happy. The January window opens in 4 months time and some people are moaning already. get real! None of us know how much will be made available, be happy for the signings we have got and get behind the team!

We are the only club in the league to have spent less than we have received in transfer fees, the sky money was supposed to be an extra 25-30 Mil. Need I say more.

barry is good enough to fill in for gibson when he's out injured. pretty sure between them they can carve out a season without both of em being crocked. McCarthy is going to keep things ticking over, but has youth and pace on his side to be the box to box midfielder we have cried out for a while. As good a servant Fellaini was, he was not suited to this style of football because his acceleration and pace was too slow to play the box to box role, and was wasted (£27Mill of player) as just a defensive mid playing a role gibbo/ barry can play. Would like to see some more movement to improve the 1st team as permenant deals in January, but on the whole a good transfer deadline day and as promised we start stronger than we were. going to have to wait to see the impact Lukaku can make to our team, but can not wait for the goals to come flooding in. Get Lukaku into your fantasy footy team next week!

He has to otherwise efc would have to pay 3 years signing on fee for remainder of his contract. when a player hands in transfer request it usually means the club makes the player hand it in if the club is going to sell and the player wants to go as its the cheapest way for the club to sell

Agree with first reply, looks like we are playing hard ball with the mancs on this. The request will mean no 'loyalty' bonus for the big man but could also mean they haven't made us an offer we deem acceptable and they are getting him to force our hand. Ideally I would like felli and baines to stay and McCarthy and a striker bought in!
Likely scenario is felli will go and we will get fernando, McCarthy and Barry! With fernando being fellianis replacement!
