Anybody hear about the EFC press officer ringing Collymore last week, pretending to be a fan supporting the way the club is run?

Wow these conspiracy theories are hilarious. As a dislikee of the board and especially Kenwright even I have to say that is silly. 'The board forced John Stones to hand in a transfer request', well, what about the bad players? Bilyaletdinov, Jelavic and Anichebe, did the board force them too? Of course not. Ever thought that maybe, just maybe, a player wants to leave the club? Nope got to be forced out, no other explanation. No one would want to leave Everton, look at how great we are doing, 20 years without a trophy, a tin shed for a stadium, miserable fans who give abuse to their own players, no money and not improving at all (4 of those 5 are the boards fault to be fair). There is genuine rubbish from the board and then there is the tin foil hat wearing people who swear Jesus is in their jeans.

It's 100% true.

He was called out on the show.

So what did the conversation reveal? How do we know whether this person actually is our press officer? How do we know whether it is actually the press officers voice? Or is Swan right?

Dont remember billy, anichebe or jelavic handing in a transfer request

It's true. There are two separate calls from the press officer dude and the voice is exactly the same.

It was a pathetic attempt to cover it all up.

mikedeblue,? When did I say that? I said did the board force them out too? Where did I say they put in a transfer request?.

So the board only forces out the good players? Makes sense.

It may be wishful thinking but dooes anyone worry about del boy hitting good form only for barca to come and buy him back on the cheap, because they can?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2015 18:48:43
Not really. It's part of the deal and I would rather he helped us have a good season then go back to barca and get us a little bit of profit. I honestly don't believe they will take him back though. These deals are put into most contracts when they sell young players. The other option is hoping that he is awful which makes no sense to me at all because then it is just a waste of money

Realistically, unless he becomes an absolute world beater Barca won't be interested in him. Even if he fulfils his potential is he ever going to get near Messi,Neymar or Suarez? I think he will be a great player for us, but not world class. The only player in my opinion with world class potential at this club is John Stones.

Trying to be unbiased, but probably failing, I still have a lot of faith in lukaku and barkley. Think they both need to improve but also that they have the potential to be world class. If we manage to keep all 3 and they all develop, we will have an immensely strong core. Now I probably am being too hopeful though

I'd forgotten about him but he'd defiantly be worth a punt especially with cleverly out for two months. His wage demands couldn't be out of our range and we would still have transfer money to spend in the winter.

may be worth a shout if his wages are reasonable

Well there we go a frustrating few weeks waiting hoping and finally not being totally satisfied, only time will tell now . But good luck to all our signings slow or otherwise . I believe we are turning the corner, see you all in January thanks Ed's even though 99% of the time I think you were down the Mersey tunnel with the lights turned out . :)

{Ed025's Note -" who said that?".. :)

Right that's it RM has kept the Squad in tact and added to it. Currently 9th in the Prem but hopefully RM's commonsense has finally overcome his arrogance and this great group of players will take us upward.

I figure we spent about 26 mil in the tfr window and retained our best players with a wage bill of 70 mil plus per season.
With debts to repay and our lack of credit worthiness, it is not far off what we can afford. We will have 28 players in our squad which is enough without being in Europe.
We mus accept the facts and move on with a reasonable squad just within our budget.

3 Good players who we know about for less than 10 million, 1 fella who we know little about, 2 good young prospects, kept a hold of Garbutt, Mirallas, McCarthy, Barkley, Lukaku and Stones when the media said all were leaving. Am I the only one who feels very confident and happy about this window? Yes we needed that creative number 10 but I still think that's Barkley's position with the current squad we have. Onwards and Upwards Blues!!

I for one thought we were going to lose Stones, McCarthy and Mirallas and Garbutt, we have kept the lot, also kept Coleman and Barkley.

Lennon, Del boy added, Distin and Alcaraz offloaded, Mori and Rodregez brought in along with Cleverly.

I for one am more than made up with this window.

Pretty sure when January comes, we will add yalenko however you spell his name to the squad at a much cheaper price.

Stig from what I can see Kone doesn't play on the wing he drifts inside to support Rom and the when he can be bothered tries to defend the flank. I don't think we actually have a set formation, if we do its more like a 4222 with only one wide player.

Just got the actual stats up, Ross has 5 assists in 80 games, apologies.
