Galloway has a very long way to go as a left back. He has started very poorly at us and unfortunately think he will now sit on the bench for most of the season behind Oviedo which is a shame as me as well as a lot of Sunderland fans had really high hopes for him.

Like the positive outlook Hay. would think we'd still want a couple of experienced players in there like schneiderlin. Also, you've omitted Sandro and onyekuru who are both just kids and hopefully will develop into top players! Personally I have my doubts about DCL but very much hope to be proven wrong!

Jiminez, Raul Jiminez, trying to get him on loan at the 11th hour SA90 doesn't not seem like a manager who is happy with his lot, in fact it seems like the complete opposite, ala Valencia last season who is that good that he is not plying his trade in Mexico! Don't make me laugh! As for Drivel GB, I've been to Anfiled and watched us for the last x9 Seasons running and trust me, I know Drivel when I see it, I really do. I want Nil Satis Nisi Optimum to mean something, otherwise take it from our badge. I want more, I expect more and don't want to be sold down the river anymore. Markee Signing my arse!

Jesus dude, I'm an Arsenal fan. Your team was unbelievably pro active in getting the players you wanted. alright so you missed out on one or two that you wanted. I'd kill to be in your position. honestly I think your team will finish above us!

I know, I don't want to come across that we have had an awful window but I feel the opportunity was there this time to do something more that's all. As for killing to be in our position, . really? You seem to have finished above us for the past 20 odd yrs and I can barely remember our last Arsenal away win, Kanchelskis I think? Thanks for the nudge for me being a bit over the top, but nudge back "kill to be in Everton's position" come on.

As a team of young, hungry combative committed footballers? Yes, I would. That crap we had to put up with recently is awful. You guys really seem like a team on the up. I'm envious is all!

I think the whole having money to spend was smoke and mirrors. Our net spend was down there with teams like Huddersfield and Bournemouth. We are putting to much depency on Rooney who's ability to last the season is up for debate. That said I like the post above about our potential future line up which could have Josh Bowler, Sambou, Foulds, Anton Donker and I'm sure we have more coming through.

Hi Smit666, i'm not embarrassed about our transfer activity, more personal frustration as I had bought into the (media led) Markee signing and step change mentality. Yet again our best player has left and on paper and we have gone for what I see as development players and not a proven replacement. Hope you understand. Love the blues jus frustrated which is strange as I should be so immune to it by now. P. s - I am a big Lukaku and Barkley fan so that doesn't help either!

We have had a sniff of marquee over the last couple of Windows like Mata and witsel non of which were signed or even targets. Siggurdson is enough of a statement signing. I don't want to go back to reliance of a big man like we did with Lukaku. City, liverpool and Arsenal have had good success in this league without that type of player I'm sure we can.

At then end of the day am sure we were trying our hardest to get a "Marquee" signing, Its not the RK's fault or Bill's or Moshiri's or Walsh' if the big name player couldn't be convinced to join us. I for one am happy we didn't panic like we did last year and sign drivel. I am glad they looked at the very best and then when they couldn't get them they stuck with what we have. I also think DCL will get us goals bewteen now and January. If we are in and around the top 4 by then, we might be able to attract a top top striker. Heads up Blues! This is the best position I have seen us in (I am only 23)

Hey zck I'm 27 and it's the best position I have seen us in. I'm excited for the season and the next few after that. I trust the staff/ owners at Everton and I believe they will produce, it will just take some time.

The readers of this website might not be fully aware that posts not only appear under "Everton Rumours" and "Everton Banter", but also under the headings of "Other Posts", "Polls", "Teams" and "Sightings". There's some interesting stuff on those. Perhaps a reminder on the Rumours and Banter pages wouldn't go amiss?

Still not convinced you're not Cowpat Sid posting under another name Bobby.
Your attention to detail and intuitive posts are so much like Sid's used to be it's eerie.
Please don't take that as an insult, it's meant as a compliment.

Rhapsody in Blue: OK - if you'd like to call me "Cowpat", that's fine - but don't expect me to dress up or anything kinky - as for languages, I don't do Greek ;-)
