We should tell Levy to go to hell and let Barkley rot in the reserves for the whole year. This whole things of collusion and Ross has let the club who brought him into the game down. I know players have to look after themselves but he was due to go to the Champions and Everton were to get a reasonable price. Now he will go for next to nothing in January or nothing in the summer.

Whether he went for £30M this window or goes for £15M in January or nothing next Summer, it's really not our (the fans) money - although I agree that it's fascinating for fans to banter about it.
Besides, modern football;s finances (fees and wages) are just crazy and only sustainable while broadcasting revenues are so huge - if that bubble burst, then how quickly would loads of clubs go broke?

What's disappointing to me about this window is not who we didn't get in but who we failed to move on. Barkley and Niasse would have us receiving about 40M pounds (minus whatever, I am not trying to get into finances but it would have been a reasonable amount) which could have gone towards a striker in January. Forget about all this bull about big revenues this is a business and failure to capitalize on your assets when they are at a maximum is a problem.

Maybe he's having second thoughts. It took me two goes to move away from Liverpool. And I missed home for years.

Know idea what the hell is going on in Barkley's head, but he does seem to be listerning to some very strange advice, for all the fact that this lad has betrayed all those supporters that stood by him in a whole range of substandard performances, you still hope that someone would sit him down and tell him a few home truths. Frances Jeffers is a sad tale of someone who could have had a great career, but ended with a host of regrets.

I don't think it is, we blasted Rooney when he left us but the fee he got for us at the time was massive at a time when we were well short of money, i'm Barkleys biggest fan but I feel he is messing us around, first of all he turns down our contract offer where he is loved by fans, now the champions offer him everything a footballer could want for what a move to Spurs that basically don't want him that much as there not interested in him. I hope he is happy as he has done everything wrong and it's his fault not the agents. He should think about that tonight his career is going horribly wrong.

I understand that under the rules he could only sign a pre-contract with a non-English club in January - although his agent (s) could no doubt have something agreed "unofficially" with a Premier League club.

You may have blasted Rooney I didn't. The lad was just doing what we would all do, make as much as he can in the time he has. Oh and win things, which he did. If Ross wants to play for Spurs then that's his business. He signed a contract and he's seeing it out. As a contractor I have done that many times, and all footballers are contractors in the end.

Just coming back from Barcelona and quite a big of talk that Vermaelen is moving to Everton but is dependant on another deal we or they are looking at (Spanish a bit rusty) .

Not a big transfer and more interested in a striker bit gives us a bit of cover.

If everton really wanted llorent they could have a chance in my opinion. he's not going to get much time there but would be central to everything we do and would still be moving to an ambitious club with quality players. Plus wages would not be an issue, would probably offer more than spurs.
