You know the Honda thing ed, do you think we're looking for him to be a Felli replacement or. ? Also, any ideas of other players we might be looking to bring in? Cheers.
Olly. {Ed001's Note - it does look to be a case of selling Fellaini to afford Honda, more than as a direct replacement. Matty Phillips, Nathan Redmond and Chung-Yong Lee are all of interest (a friend of mine believes that Stones was spotted initially while you were scouting one of the 3).}

Think that Redmond would be a really good signing. Honda, Fer and Redmond would really give us pace and power in Midfield.

I hope we are in for Redmond.

Which of the three would you say is more likely to join Ed, I am presuming only one would join? {Ed001's Note - Phillips is coming towards the end of his contracs and Redmond is playing for a club in financial difficulties. I don't know which one is seen as the main target yet. I would expect Phillips must be favourite, due to his contract situation.}

Ed do you know if we have any interest in either Aiden McGeady or Keisuke Honda, been hearing both of these? {Ed001's Note - I don't know about McGeady but defo in Honda.}

Hope not we do not need players like him, let's be honest, before he went he did not want to play. Just because he is out of favour at city, does not mean we have to sign him. Please moyes no.
Patsyblue {Ed025's Note - i think he is a very good player patsy, and would welcome him back mate..

We need to spend money on younger players

I noticed he made a point of giving moyes a back pat / handshake at the end of the city game

Really wouldn't be surprised/disappointed if we signed Lescott, but don't think fee would be as high as 5mil. More like 3-4.

Was a good player for us. Left in rather acrimonious circumstances, but would be a backwards step for us. We should be looking at the future, not the past.

If DM stays with us then I think he might bid for Lescott in the next window. I have misgivings with this deal due to the way he acted to force a move. That said, he would take no time to settle, is relatively cheap for an international player, can play in a couple of roles and is certainly better and more stable than Jonny H. Distan is getting no younger as well so maybe it's a deal that would make sense.

If Heitinga is sold, then I wouldn't mind seeing Lescott back, for the right price mind you (no more than 4mil).
He was truly brilliant for us back then, not only was his partnership with Jags one of, if not the best partnership in the division, his threats from corners have been sorely missed.

I wouldn't want that judas, grasping, inadequate shyster back. Made his name for us as a left back, but threw his dummy out the cot insisting he was a centre back, weak in that position (fa cup against chelsea for example) and found out at City. Why on Earth would we sign back the big turd? Yours JP
