defoe at goodison park today

Believable7 Unbelievable24

I'd love this to be true, but I fear another red wind up :( {Ed025's Note - i dont think it is true...but never say never..

Agree0 Disagree0

We do all busimess at Finch farm nowadays don't we ? {Ed025's Note - mostly..but not all..

Agree0 Disagree0

Was he fixing the wall at the park end?

Agree0 Disagree0

If harry rednap hears that moyes likes defoe he ll extend his contract and double his wages

----fox------

Spurs ar'nt signing Barton Celtic and Villa want him and Everton wont pay his wages.........

Maybe he'll take a wage cut (ha ha)

Believable10 Unbelievable17

If Fox said it, the opposite will happen. No offence, just going by your track record. {Ed025's Note - he is certainly not mystic meg...but he does have a point on the wage shout..

Agree0 Disagree0

Latest rumours going round on twitter is that Barton met with moyes today...

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope Moyes told him to fxck off. He's a dog and never want to see him in an everton shirt. We might not have a carrot but we've got the best team spirit in the league. Can you imagine how long it would take that knob head to fxck it up. (Wavertree blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

You write ha ha on a pay cut but Barton has declared he would be willing to take a pay cut to get a move to the right club. Barton is reported to be on 55 grand a week contrary to all other imaginary numbers people are coming up with. I believe if Barton comes Mikel will go so it should not be a problem to meet his wage demands. Just hope thing if done are quick so we can focus on looking for a striker with the money from the Arteta sale.

Put it this way, if we don't even attempt to go for Barton, don't expect anyone else coming in...

Can't believe how much time I spend looking at these pages in hope of a serious, credible story. I guess my optimism is born out of being a blue..........Whatever happens come the start of the season my support will not falter. C'mon the Toffee's

Believable21 Unbelievable5

BEST. POST. EVER.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

Toally agree with this, always the optimist

Agree0 Disagree0

Would we have it any other way? Don't answer that

Agree0 Disagree0

Same here always on here. See if we will be signing anyone. Always a let down. But we are the mighty blues. Will be there friday and got my seoson ticket for the 26th season in a row. COYB {Ed025's Note - nice post mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mate but at least the peoples club can interact with eachother ay but while were on the subject i do expect at least 1 signing maybe 2 the second being a loan hopefully. {Ed025's Note - thats the spirit guys...we all have the same common goal....to see the blues do well this season..COYB..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said. been reading all the emails on here for ages yea were all on downers waiting for info that might never come. but look at it this way.we have the same team as last season. saha looks fit again felli will be back september i hope fit.the start of the season looks good for us.i for one will be behind are beloved team 100%.coyb.if you no your history

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mate. on here all time half wanting the rumours to be true, but knowing they wont. if we keep all our players then we have a great side FTRS

After watching last night's lifeless display, it's not a case of do we want Barton, but we NEED Joey Barton Could be the differance between mid table to top six.

Believable16 Unbelievable11

It's just a pity we won't get him. {Ed025's Note - dont rule him out yet..we are still in with a shout..

Agree0 Disagree0

Joey Barton has 12 months left on £80, 00 a week he will NOT leave Newcastle unless he gets a similar contract or the £4m in a signing on fee.

Unforunatley we cant afford either. If Moyes is interested expect Redknapp to offer twice as much as usual. - Then never play him

Believable13 Unbelievable9

Tottenham have opened talks with him already

Agree0 Disagree0

Barton was placed on the transfer list and was told he can leave for free, therefore he wouldn't cost 4m and if he loved Everton, which he does, i'm sure he'd take a wage cut.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is on nothing like that he may have been before he got locked up but after that he took a huge pay cut to keep his job. I don't know the figure's but it cannot be up there like you suggest.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is on 60 k a week not 80k

Agree0 Disagree0

Do people even read posts they comment on? He's free but would command a signing on fee

As for loving everton I spend a large percentage of my wage of watching everton but would give up (even at 60k) a £3m signing on fee and £1m a year for 4 years. Would any of you give up £7m?

Agree0 Disagree0

3 million signing on fee??????
the loonies are on line again

Bilyaltedinov going to CSKA on loan - we are geting Vagner Love on loan in return

Believable15 Unbelievable14

I wish

Agree0 Disagree0

Love would be awesome but think he plays in brazil now and billy is staying will play against villareal on friday

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i cnt see this move happening although it would be great for the club It would give billy a chance to maybe seal a permanent move away from goodison with some good performances. Vagner knows how to hit the back of the net
We need a bit of "Love" at the club this season.
##bluemick##

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed - Werent we linkd with Love when city got Jo. If this happend anf jags stays it would be a fantastic transfer window - topped only if our nigerian tripplets found new clubs to fleece {Ed001's Note - Love has been linked with half the Prem at some point, I hear he is on ridiculous wages, hence him never actually joining anyone.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy has had long enough No doubt he has the ability to be a top player but personally and everyone has the right to an opinion he is a light weight He has no balls and i believe if he played in the local parks he would bottle it there too haha its a shame really as he could of been a top top player he needs to be in less aggressive league

Agree0 Disagree0

Vagner's still at CSKA, he was loaned out to Palmeiras and Flamengo. So it's plausible that CSKA would loan him again. If there is something in the story I for one would be very pleased with that transfer.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be a good player to take on loan and if Palmeiras and Flamengo could afford to pay his wages then we surely can {Ed025's Note - when you say we surely can.......

Agree0 Disagree0

We should just sign him for song value....it must be love, love is in the air etc etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a pity but i dont think billy is going anywere.i myself think we have give him plenty of time to adapt to the way are team play, i dont think hes good enough.its time to ofload him.

Agree0 Disagree0

U on something?

-Toffeeboy-

Sky sources claim that Everton are willing to sell Jags for around 20m and Everton want Samba as replacement. Bellamy could join on loan.

Believable9 Unbelievable18

03 Aug 2011 12:14:54
to be honest i myself would prefer if we didn't bring a striker in on loan and one of the younger players to step up
i don't think we should be relying on a player to score and then watching him return to his club the following season and scoring against us

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I don't think we should be relying on Vic, Becks and Saha to bag us goals either...

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather him score for us and against us than score against us and not for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do agree with the loan issue, but in our current position we can't be picky, we need money from silverware and recognition from investors in order to survive. Not to mention keep our world class manager..

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard Beckford is definately not leaving. I think all u doubters of what he can do should have a rethink. Yes at times he was lazy; even moyes publicly said that. But remember, he jumped 2 divisions to a top class team and still had a decent goal return. also lets not forget his goal against chelsea final game of season was rated 2nd best goal of the season on sky sports news, beat only by rooneys wonder goal. I think with a better work rate and the confidence of a decent first season beckford will be looking to hit 20 goals.

Believable17 Unbelievable6

He was 4th or 5th in the goals to minutes on the pitch ratio, if given more time he could be a 15+ goalscorer

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree he may not be the greatest striker in the world as he needs far to many chances but given he gets in the positions the first place if he could just work on his finishing he could easily net 20 give the lad a chance like guy said hes jumoed up 2 leagues and still netted about ten goals he has pace to burn and with a little more confidence can be a great palyer i got u back beckford but u gotta work on u finishing

Agree0 Disagree0

You clearly have blinkers on if you genuinely think the goal against Chelsea was grt. He got 3 lucky deflections on the Half way line and if you watch the replay carefully his shot was missing and cech got a finger on it which sent it in He'll do alright tho if he plays more games {Ed025's Note - im hearing a lot of negativity about becks, mark my words, he will do well this season..

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt agree with you more hes only goin to get better an better im pretty confident he will do the business next year

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who says iv got blinkers on if i think it was a great goal... I said it was voted as on sky sports news, and yeah i think it was good. Who cares if it had couple of lucky deflections, he had the balls to try and it worked. Personally u dont sound like a true blue to me... Are u yet another jealous red sh*te? {Ed025's Note - its a possibility mate....i agree with you, it was a great goal..

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think i went to the same game.becks ran from one end to the other the so called best of the best couldnt get at him all i hear is he came from annother div.well what if he has. he kicked arse that day to me thats someone whos good enough to wear the blue shirt for everton.and i think there is plenty of more goals of the lad to come.coyb {Ed025's Note - i agree..

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford cost us nothing in fee's had a great goals to minutes on the pitch rate..stepped up two divisions, we should be appluading the lad not knocking him down {Ed025's Note - well said mate....mark my words, he will be great this season..

**Maiden**

Some of the morning papers saying Jags would rather stay at Everton even if a deal was agreed between us and the arse.

I know 18m is big money for a 29 year old CB but we don't want to be selling Jags - he is class

I was in agreement with most that we need another winger but Gueye can probably fill that role.

All we need is a striker on loan because we usually outplay teams - just can't score.

Bellamy, Sturridge, Welbeck, Pavyluchenko...

Just a loan deal for anyone along these lines so that instead of the standard 15 draws a season - perhaps 6 or 7 of them can be turned into wins.

But other than that, still a great team we have if we keep hold of them all. Easily top 6 contenders.

COYB

Believable11 Unbelievable4

A loan striker (one not good enough to be needed by the parent club) is enough to make us top 6?

Rule out Arse, Man U, Man C and Chelsea that means you think 1 loan signing will help us overtake either Liverpool or Spurs? Hmm

I would say keeping Sunderland or maybe even Villa at arms lengh would be more realistic.

Huyton Realist

Agree0 Disagree0

If Jags has really said that, then that just makes me love the lad even more, he is my favourite player, as he would be with many other Everton fans, and he is definetly going to be the next captain.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't agree with you there Mr Realist. We have a great side that is usually gets the better of teams in midfield - just not enough firepower upfront.

So yes - I do believe that with the addition of a striker we can be considered top 6 contenders.

Ambitious Evertonian

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish for 2 things in this transfer window A top striker and to keep the rest of the team in tact oh and one more for the evertonians slating the team every week to go support the red s**te This squad dominates almost every game in the league most weeks we just cannot finish of the chances we still need a buyer asap though

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2011 09:54:04
Sorry to say but Jags WILL be going this summer for around 18m Moyes will be replacing him with Scott dann this is 100% happening, still no news on any loan deals or a possible striker ..

Believable7 Unbelievable16

Right, so if it is 100% happening, then why was he playing in Germany wearing the captains armband last night? Just doesnt make sense, if it was 100% certain he was leaving why we would play him risking injury and giving him the armband.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think he ment scott dan got is words mixed up think he ment desperate dan from the dandy.thats the only place i can think some peeps on here get there ideas from.or mabe they have been on fifa 11 to long

steve round left yet again to speak to the press yesterday what the hell is going on at everton?? why are niether moyes or kenwright speaking to the public? a tad disrespectful to the paying public if you ask me.

Believable13 Unbelievable2

100% agree All we are asking for is answers yet they seem to be shying further away from the truth.

Expected from KenTIGHT but Moyes has always gave the impression of a heart on the sleve Guy

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe they're busy tryin to get some deals for players done................ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes your right kenwright just saveing for his pension fund and makeing us and moyes a laughing stock in the prem time to sell kenwright asap {Ed025's Note - i also think we supporters deserve better, even if its news that we dont want to hear, at least it would be something..

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately none of the clubs let their fans know anything, the only thing you will get is when it is signed on the dotted line.

bellamy on loan

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Bellamy i'm afraid has said the only english club he will play for is Cardiff City, he would of been good for us but thats a no go

Agree0 Disagree0

"The only English club he will play for is Cardiff City". Is this a wind-up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't help but laugh at that mate ha... only English club is Cardiff. Only the welsh ey

Agree0 Disagree0

Ermm.....cardiff are welsh mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Ummmm, do you know where Cardiff is? Although you are right, he has said he wants to play for Cardiff or just stay at Man City
