Anyone seen where BK is telling Whelan to shut his mouth and no del has been agreed and that the club will make an announcement when the new manager is signed and that Martinez is not the leading candidate :) happy days boys

Just seen that on our website, must admit what Whelan said was Comp level agreed but then went on again about all the cr*p from the other day. it is viable and completely realistic that we could have just agreed what that would be should we move down that route. let's just hope it is and other candidates still in there!!

Live in Bolton and know of many people who have "come into contact" with Dave Whelan. Suffice to saying he has a bad reputation. Cheap and treats people badly apparently.

I couldn't give a sh#t wot this guy says, his club is on the slide anyway. If Everton is a steping stone to real Madrid or barca for Martinez then it means he's done a great job here first!

All you have to do is look at Kenwright's Club, and Whelan's club. Difference? Lots of differences! A stepping stone, pfft if that's a stepping stone then what's the Barca job? He's just big headed cause he's won a cup that they may have to wait another century for!

Think he's forgetting who Martinez manages now ffs it's Wigan! It will feel like he's managing Barca when he comes to Everton!

Edo25 you know that is a joke. we have lost a top manager and replaced him with someone who has just been relegated and paying £1. 5M for the priviledge. i'm sorry this is a joke, I have supported Kenwright and will still support my club but he has come up short here. after all that deliberation and interviews this is so negative. there is absolutely nothing to look forward to know apart from all our best players leaving and mid table struggles if we are lucky. Really like your responses Ed0025. I have scoured evertonrumours for years, especially when the windows open and have never posted before. In my eyes this is a great positive for the club. We have good players, apparently do not need to sell and the possibility of a few more - can't remember when I approached a season with this much optimisim. Always did approach optimistic, but sometimes misplaced as if maybe we will do it this time, but a little unsure. This time, the unknown brings further optimism alongside excitement COYB.

Who's done wonders for Everton? If you're on about Bill Kenwright then you are seriously misguided and quite probably deluded. Taken us from being £20m in the black to c. £50 in the red. Sold all our assets, presided over 2 stadium failures, sold off our training ground and doesn't know where £24m (yes twenty four MILLION) has gone. Yes, mate he's done wonders. Oh yes, and he nearly sold to a fella in a one bedroom flat/bedsit in Manchester. Tip-top job I'd say, we're fortunate to have him. D'oh

BK has handled the situation amazingly!

After having the heart ripped out at the end of another season where we finished higher than predicted in that season he backed the manage to high heaven
only missing out due to time on signing Negredo

instead of calling it quits he has done everything he said he would. listened to the fans and spoke with the people we all have mentioned. it's not BK fault if they are not suitable in anyway or fail to agree terms, but BK has listened

Why has this thread suddenly appeared. Martinez isn't my first choice, but at least Kenwright's not procrastinating. The idea that we're being "ran (sic) 2nd rate" by Kenwright is without foundation. Our stadium isn't an identikit 90s style Reebok, but it has more character than 90% of Premiership grounds.

Kenwright saved us from Johnson alright he's not loaded but he's always told us that an I hear he doesn't take a wage an all people sayin he's dragging his heels sellin the club the sooner he sells it will be only time he makes any thin wouldn't be surprised if he bought some one out of what he made

A friend told me Martinez was a done deal today at Finch Farm. His dad's friend is a security guard at Finch Farm and he confirmed this today apparently. I ain't saying I believe this 100% but I trust the person who told me. Make of it what you want!

I was told right from the start it was Lennon, he has stayed around in the betting with Martinez while others have come and gone. The bookies are making a fortune with rumours like it's Harry R and others, people bet them then it all turns out to be rubbish. If I or you believed in conspiracies you would wonder who would benefit from starting such rumours.
Everyone appears to be saying the press conference will be today or Wednesday, if that's the case I am wrong as Lennon will be in Ireland before then. If the press conference is later in the week be it Thursday or Friday I stand by the Lennon thing.

Dave Whelan said at the weekend Martinez can stay at Wigan if he wants. "Does he know something?"

Thanks for being nice :-) Of course you are entitled to your own opinion and I understand why u are doubtful, ie I am new and the post runs against the grain of other recent posts. In all honesty, its very unlikely I will post again with info as I don't move in those circles so u won't see me posting towards the end of Aug when 'transfer deadline day frenzy' approaches. The original post just struck a chord with me as I was thinking the same and had been given that snippet of info (genuine or not). I haven't got the time or energy to trawl forums spouting crap. Anyway, whoever Bill chooses, it appears as if he is being diligent and I for one will wholeheartedly support our new manager, whoever that may be.
