Wouldn't it be great if Bill had just been pulling Dave Weelans plonker and wanted to make him look like an absolute knob!

Believable21 Unbelievable7

Be cool if BK is doing some cloak and dagger sh t, using wigan as a mask to bring someone else in

Agree0 Disagree0

Cloak and dagger, sounds like a musical.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pereira is on a tap air flight to Manchester landing at 10. 30 tomorrow. Could be on?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 05:19:48
Nobody has to do anything to make Whelan look like a nob mate, it comes naturally to him

Agree0 Disagree0

Huw-blu, how do you know that. I hope BK is using it a bargaining tool with pereira in the sam way pereira has been waiting for his new contract to use as a bargaining tool with us, both trying to secure the best deal! hopeful thinking but it could happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Martywil:

'' make him look like an absolute knob! ''

He's doing a brilliant job himself, and he don't need any help from BK or anyone else for that matter!

Hew-blu:

If that's true I'll pay his cab fare from the airport.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong Ed025 maybe,

only I thought BK was handling all this in
London?

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder what Jenny will have to say about that. Bill pulling Dave's plonker? She won't be pleased, I'd imagine :)

Agree0 Disagree0

As a thespian, Jenny will be happy if Bill is just getting in touch with his feminine side by having a tug.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jun 2013 23:03:40
Anyone seen where BK is telling Whelan to shut his mouth and no del has been agreed and that the club will make an announcement when the new manager is signed and that Martinez is not the leading candidate :) happy days boys

EtidAaron

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Happy days? more waiting more suspense more crap rumours? oh yeah happy days

Agree0 Disagree0

Just seen that on our website, must admit what Whelan said was Comp level agreed but then went on again about all the cr*p from the other day. it is viable and completely realistic that we could have just agreed what that would be should we move down that route. let's just hope it is and other candidates still in there!!

Agree0 Disagree0

It does not say that. You just made the last bit up mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez will be the next Everton manager. Could just be a tactic to get the compensation down!

Agree0 Disagree0

To clarify I believe DW said that the comp deal was agreed, Everton have simply said no decision has been reached yet. The last bit is my theory, you know part of the debate? Come on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed. This fella posts absolute rubbish every day. Got to be a Kopite. Think he needs to be blocked.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton website just gone down, I cannot access it! What is going on?!
All I hope is that its still not RM, I know that's such a long shot now but just got to hope! {Ed025's Note - bad luck mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Wots burger king got to do with it they are new sponsor or sumting

Agree0 Disagree0

Tho we all have to stand by him, he is not first choice at all

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jun 2013 23:02:25
Ed do you reckon there is a late surge from another contender? Is that plausible? Jlaff {Ed025's Note - its a possibilty mate..

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Hmm. it is theatrical. I wonder if whelan is just trying to stir the pot. RM is going to look like a right plonker if he ain't offered the job! Jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2013 16:57:50
I reckon Bill's alternative to Martinez is Thomas Tuchel.

I'd never heard of him before but articles online make him sound like a Teutonic Moyes. We all know DM loves the Germans and it would explain the rumours about Klinsmann and Rangnick. Rangnik gave Tuchel his first job in coaching.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jun 2013 22:37:02
Everton have said nothing agreed with any candidate!

Whelan just can't resist a little dig can he? "Everton is the next stop for Roberto before he goes to the very, very top. " Basically calling us a stepping stone the old fart.

BitterBlue

Believable12 Unbelievable3

I used to have a lot of respect for Whelan. The purple headed t*t!

Agree0 Disagree0

Live in Bolton and know of many people who have "come into contact" with Dave Whelan. Suffice to saying he has a bad reputation. Cheap and treats people badly apparently.

Agree0 Disagree0

I couldn't give a sh#t wot this guy says, his club is on the slide anyway. If Everton is a steping stone to real Madrid or barca for Martinez then it means he's done a great job here first!

Agree0 Disagree0

All you have to do is look at Kenwright's Club, and Whelan's club. Difference? Lots of differences! A stepping stone, pfft if that's a stepping stone then what's the Barca job? He's just big headed cause he's won a cup that they may have to wait another century for!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he's forgetting who Martinez manages now ffs it's Wigan! It will feel like he's managing Barca when he comes to Everton!

Kenwright out out out

Believable15 Unbelievable23

Never mind Kenwright Hows about you join that little club across the park!

Agree0 Disagree0

Do one you person

Agree0 Disagree0

The only one who should get out is you

Agree0 Disagree0

Pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here we go

Agree0 Disagree0

Get on your bike your pathetic. pot

Agree0 Disagree0

How can a man who takes a team down get the sixth best job in English football bk {Ed025's Note - the same way a manager who won nothing in 11yrs gets the top job...potential..

Agree0 Disagree0

Always back the Club OP!

We havn't got the luxury of 'green and yellow scarves '

Or changing the manager at the drop of a hat!

Offer constructive critique and voice concern when it's called for!

Meantime let's see what we have got and give the guy a sporting chance!

COYB! be a Blue 100%

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok, so you haven't put it quite right, we still need to respect kenwright, but I know where your coming from, we will go nowhere with kenwright, look at the state of the stadium, the team looks great, but that's all down to moyes and he's gone, so now its time for bill to go, ok he can have some sort of honorary chairman, but enough is enough of our club being ran 2nd rate

Agree0 Disagree0

Just another doom and gloomer, sick of them all. If you are a genuine blue then please stay away from our club and leave us to worry about what happens from here in. Your negativity helps no one!

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent response Ed. Did'nt we employ Moyes after he'd just failed to get promotion with Preston? (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey

Not who I wanted and it looks like I have lost £30 but hey, let's see what he can do with an infinitely better team and see if he brings Mcmanaman with him, maybe McCarthy at a push but a little over rated.
imo. COYB

Mart

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice reply Ed025

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed25 took us from bottom of the table to 4 5 6 7 8 not mid table to down in 4 years its in black and white have a look

Agree0 Disagree0

Edo25 you know that is a joke. we have lost a top manager and replaced him with someone who has just been relegated and paying £1. 5M for the priviledge. i'm sorry this is a joke, I have supported Kenwright and will still support my club but he has come up short here. after all that deliberation and interviews this is so negative. there is absolutely nothing to look forward to know apart from all our best players leaving and mid table struggles if we are lucky. Shame, what a great club and what a disgrace to give the job to this bloke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really like your responses Ed0025. I have scoured evertonrumours for years, especially when the windows open and have never posted before. In my eyes this is a great positive for the club. We have good players, apparently do not need to sell and the possibility of a few more - can't remember when I approached a season with this much optimisim. Always did approach optimistic, but sometimes misplaced as if maybe we will do it this time, but a little unsure. This time, the unknown brings further optimism alongside excitement COYB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why. Done wonders for Everton

Agree0 Disagree0

Top players will leave, just wait and see. If your Fellaini or Mirralas why would you stick around to play this football? Can someone actually tell me why RM has his teams play such great football? didn't Wigan just go down after 4 years of trying? Oh that is great football isn't it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's done wonders for Everton? If you're on about Bill Kenwright then you are seriously misguided and quite probably deluded. Taken us from being £20m in the black to c. £50 in the red. Sold all our assets, presided over 2 stadium failures, sold off our training ground and doesn't know where £24m (yes twenty four MILLION) has gone. Yes, mate he's done wonders. Oh yes, and he nearly sold to a fella in a one bedroom flat/bedsit in Manchester. Tip-top job I'd say, we're fortunate to have him. D'oh

Agree0 Disagree0

BK has handled the situation amazingly!

After having the heart ripped out at the end of another season where we finished higher than predicted in that season he backed the manage to high heaven
only missing out due to time on signing Negredo

instead of calling it quits he has done everything he said he would. listened to the fans and spoke with the people we all have mentioned. it's not BK fault if they are not suitable in anyway or fail to agree terms, but BK has listened

Agree0 Disagree0

Not too bothered about Felaini. Mirallas want to kep.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ever heard the phrase "waste of ink"?. It applies to this post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why has this thread suddenly appeared. Martinez isn't my first choice, but at least Kenwright's not procrastinating. The idea that we're being "ran (sic) 2nd rate" by Kenwright is without foundation. Our stadium isn't an identikit 90s style Reebok, but it has more character than 90% of Premiership grounds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright saved us from Johnson alright he's not loaded but he's always told us that an I hear he doesn't take a wage an all people sayin he's dragging his heels sellin the club the sooner he sells it will be only time he makes any thin wouldn't be surprised if he bought some one out of what he made
Duffy

Agree0 Disagree0

Respect Moyes. Better by miles than Martinez

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jun 2013 21:19:06
I said it was going to be Martinez after the echo cup final at goodison as the woman who worked there said good news the good times ahead for us not straight away we will go through a transition period first be patient and give home time

Essy

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Solomon and svenny? the silence is deafening! Ha ha, to all the haters for Roberto, try getting behind him and give him a fair crack of the whip, people are fixating on his defensive record, I won't be too concerned when he will make us capable of out scoring the opposing team, and also our defenders are a different class to the players he had available at wigan! AND IF YOU KNOW. Danny c

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to get behind the new manager but sorry can't go along with this. I may eat my words but this is a disgrace. He will get 5 games, if we are struggling I suspect the crowd will hammer him. And all our best defenders are about to start looking for new clubs I wouldve thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is wrong with some of our fans.? Get a grip eh. He were nt my preferred choice but a young up and coming manager. give home the benefit of the doubt and as for calling for BK to leave. no doubt there is compo to be paid plus salary etc. so how is that a cheap option. BK would have wanted to stabilize the ship and will have consulted key staff members. I've said it - don't you remember the Johnson days, or the debacle that was hicks and Gillette across the park with the other lot. the grass ain't always greener. Give the guy a chance, and the courtesy of whetting the benchwarmers before you criticise. hope you eat humble pie. jlaff!

Im starting to have doubts about it being martinez now. surely if it was going to be him it would of been done by now.

Andy

Believable9 Unbelievable2

It is Martinez, Bill likes his limelight and wants the attention firmly fixed on him, not on Chelsea and Mourinho so he'll wait a couple of days now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let hope it's not rm because we all vp

Agree0 Disagree0

It's taking this long because BK has the staff looking down the sides of sofas for all the loose change, as we need to scrap together the composition to pay Wigan Athletic for RM's contract.

Bill won't announce today, wants to be in the limelight so will wait for Chelski news to die down.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Why didn't he announce it before the Mourinho news then?

Agree0 Disagree0

We need not worry about being in the limelight, we have not been in that for a very long time, especially with Sky, only when there is bad news they totally concentrate on use.

Hmmmm. I know I'm probably in a minority here, but I'm still of the opinion that it's Pereira who is still No1 choice!
Reason I think this, is that he's supposed to be giving Porto a decision on his future early this week, and it seems to me like that's what we are waiting on.
If the job was definately going to Martinez, I think we would have announced it by now given that he's already stated his desire to leave to Wigan, and (if reports are to be believed) he's already held 2 meetings with Kenwright. I know there will be all sorts of details to iron out first with regards to contracts and terms etc, but it's just a feeling I get that its almost like he's the second choice incase Pereira stays with Porto.

BK is to be the next manager himself. Midfield to be chorus line from blood brothers. Michael Crawford up front and Bonny Langfield in goal. Wayne Sleep nippy little full back. Can't wait.

Marcus {Ed025's Note - i like that marcus..

Think about it, Pereira has been quiet for weeks now and still hasn't signed a new contract with Porto yet, I certainly wouldn't rule him out yet, we could still be in with a shock.

Not saying its true, or its a rumour, sort of putting one and one together and speculating!
Rangnick has rubbished reports he is due to move, and is with Red Bull Leipzig, and is entrusted, by reports, to take them into Bundesliga.
There have been rumours passed about about links with F1, which is now being rumoured as red bull, and interest in buying everton!
Rangnick is reported of met with BK.
Now here's were I come up with my one add one bit!
If you put them all together, red bull interest + Rangnick working for red bull + meeting with BK (could equal) rumours of take over are true, and he was brought in a meeting with BK to advise on next manager, due to red bull wanting control of who will be there and not wanting to change when they take control!
Hmmm.

Hmmm different I suppose

Agree0 Disagree0

Could he had talks with kenwright not to do with the managers job but the takeover reguarding red bulls?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think by putting 2 and 2 together you have cracked it reguarding the takeover with red bull but we won't hear nothing yet untill the new manager is in. Looks like that guy predictions coud be right a new manager and a takeover in the summer his has got one bit right for sure reguarding the new manager so far

Agree0 Disagree0

No offense mate but you have put a few vague reports in the media together and second guessed the situation to come out with this theory. You could also say that the club came up with te idea of changing the badge to demonstrate to the new owners that it would be a bad idea to rename the stadium the Red Bull Arena.

Still, nice try mate. But no takeover is coming soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the post who said nice try, if you read that's what I said, speculating! Never said there was or is going to be. And yes it is just on random news reports, don't take it so serious. Again just looking at the bigger picture through the news!

EverTheOptimistic

But you never know ;)

Are you a kopite mate? Why are people like you so doom and gloom Everton will be taken over one day lol got to happen sooner or later

If, and that's a massive if, Red Bull were taking us over, would they not want to change our name to Everton Red Bulls or Red Bull Everton? No thanks I'll stick with poverty

Believable7 Unbelievable4

A press conference will be called Thursday morning Martinez is expected to be there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't necessarily need a press conference to announce Martinez as manager. A statement from the club would be sufficient and then a press conference from the new gaffer in due course. All everton correspondents in the media are saying they haven't heard about a press conference yet.

Alright folks just letting you know bk has made his choice for next boss, but he will not take over til after tranfer window closes. just joking its martinez this week. Blue billy

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Martinez second interview 'very positive'. he's the only one of the five (Weir, Stubbs, Neville, Pereira) interviewed twice, no meeting at all with Solskjaer. it's definitely Martinez!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it taking so lont to appoint him then. Bk has known who it was going to be all along becsuse he has got his yes man. and that's what bk wants. someone who won't answer him back and to tell the world how great his chairman is just like moyes

Agree0 Disagree0

Its going to be a disaster. shame, replace a great manager like Moyes with someone who has done nothing but get relegated.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason it is taking so long, I suspect, is because BK is playing hardball over the compensation package.

Agree0 Disagree0

Either that or bk is dithering

Agree0 Disagree0

Might got relegated still won an fa cup. more than moyes has ever won

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt be suprised if he didn't appoint one until after the transfer window. You might have a point billy

Wonder if everton are going to do that thing they usually do and appoint someone that hasn't even been mentioned! Haha

Believable17 Unbelievable3

Hey, new to this forum so b gentle. I too wondered whether Blue Bill would 'throw us all a curved ball' and appoint someone we were not expecting. A good friend of mine gave me a tip yesterday re Slaven Bilic. He has an uncanny knack of getting it right. His source is within Wrexham football club/and ex blue BH. Source confirmed Bill had secret talks with Bilic recently. My friend was honest and said it is by no means a definite cert, so if I was going to place cash, keep it sensble. So £30 plus £25 free bet went on SB at 150 to 1 odds down to 100 -1 now with this operator. I thought it was worth a punt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi fugee, as you are new to the forum, I shall be nice and say. I think you are making this up my friend.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was told right from the start it was Lennon, he has stayed around in the betting with Martinez while others have come and gone. The bookies are making a fortune with rumours like it's Harry R and others, people bet them then it all turns out to be rubbish. If I or you believed in conspiracies you would wonder who would benefit from starting such rumours.
Everyone appears to be saying the press conference will be today or Wednesday, if that's the case I am wrong as Lennon will be in Ireland before then. If the press conference is later in the week be it Thursday or Friday I stand by the Lennon thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave Whelan said at the weekend Martinez can stay at Wigan if he wants. "Does he know something?"

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey

Thanks for being nice :-) Of course you are entitled to your own opinion and I understand why u are doubtful, ie I am new and the post runs against the grain of other recent posts. In all honesty, its very unlikely I will post again with info as I don't move in those circles so u won't see me posting towards the end of Aug when 'transfer deadline day frenzy' approaches. The original post just struck a chord with me as I was thinking the same and had been given that snippet of info (genuine or not). I haven't got the time or energy to trawl forums spouting crap. Anyway, whoever Bill chooses, it appears as if he is being diligent and I for one will wholeheartedly support our new manager, whoever that may be.
