At first I was one of the many Evertonians slagging Areta off thinking ''how could he do this to us? he loves our club?'' and '' this isn't happening, moyes and kenwright wouldnt do this to our club!''
But after 1 or 2 days after all the news about him had died down, and it was reality that he was going to be playing in an Arsenal shirt at goodison park next time that fixture comes round, you realise why he did it.
He stated his love for Everton football club in his first interview as an Arsenal player, and as the great Alan Ball once said ''Once Everton has touched you nothing else will ever be the same'' another player has proved that. Goodluck Mikel, a goal against them from across the park and no goals against us and you will be more than forgiven for all this! You will always be the best little spaniard I and most Evertonians will know, follow follow follow...

Believable16 Unbelievable4

I agree also with you and yes i slagged him off as well at the time, once the anger has gone i beleive everything he has said he is 29 and not getting any younger he wants to play at a higher level and you cant blame him good luck to you mikel you will always be a blue imwt

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said i agrre with everything you say. godd luck mikel

Agree0 Disagree0

All the best Mikel for the season ahead, a couple of goals against the red sh**te should soften your loss!

Agree0 Disagree0

F**** off, Arteta is a traitor pure & simple. No-one forced him to sign the best contract Everton could offer. Champions League football wasn't a factor then. He forced through that transfer after Everton stated he wasn't for sale. He is making out Everton had to sell him, they didn't, FACT. I for 1 will not be welcoming him back the Bast***!

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta did force his way out yes, but he's crocked and he knows it! he probably said to moyes', he wants champions league football and if we can get 10 million for me(arteta) who's legs are nakered and can do no more for the club, took it as his oppurtunity and with one player needing to go he sacrificed him self, he shall ever be an Everton hero, goodluck mikel

Agree0 Disagree0

We had to sell one of our big names and to be totally honest £10m for Arteta is good for the club. He is not the player that he was, we have had the best years from him. I wish him well in his new career.
With Barkley and Rodwell we have the future england centre midfield duo. We have the taken 2 potential stars on loan with a view to seeing how they perform before letting go or offering contracts too. Just need to get rid of Vic and replace with a striker that knows how to score and we will be top 10 easy. blue until i die.....

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in Manchester and got the transfer window p**s taken by everyone yet again. However, if I was to write down 11 players that we must not lose under ANY circumstances, I don't think the best little Spaniard will be on it. I'd rather he was still here but given the circumstances it could have been a LOT LOT worse with rumours of clubs sniffing around Bainesey, Jags, Fellaini and even the new kid. In these dark and difficult times we must keep the faith. Am I the only fan who doesn't want my club to be owned by a Saudi for his hobby?

What was Micky Quinn on about today on talk sport, he says that he will tell all on his show tomorow. He says there are big things happening and he says he has inside ifomation, does anybody know what he is on about

Believable15 Unbelievable18

In relation to what? Ive not heard anything!

Agree0 Disagree0

Who trusts a red with Everton information?

Agree0 Disagree0

The big info is us signing beattie, I've heard it myself, but lets all pray its not true

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes wouldn't go for beattie, he has got rid of him once

Agree0 Disagree0

What time was this on .

Agree0 Disagree0

Two things wrong with this post
1-Micky Quinn is a self obsessed tool
2-Micky Quinn is a R/S self obsessed tool
trig the blue {Ed001's Note - you missed out something there: 3-Micky Quinn knows nothing about either team.
Clearly something will be made up for him to say on air to get listeners to the station. If there really was something to say, he would have said it there and then and not left it. If it was real, that would risk someone else breaking the story and killing it dead.}

We have a new 3rd kit available to order online .

Agree0 Disagree0

All over twitter that j p macmanus has bought everton

Agree0 Disagree0

The rumour, although probably a lie is that JP McManus will complete takeover tomorrowin

Agree0 Disagree0

Neville on bbc tv said all the people outside the club say its doom and gloom but we inside the club know whats going on any ideas what he meant by that statement obviously something about to happen maybe

Agree0 Disagree0

Jp mcmanus is buying everton. with MICK Quinns horse racing background, maybe he does actuaaly know a little information on this story.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres a couple of mentions on twitter about a rumour that jp mcmanus is buying the club put that with what a couple of you have said and its still juat a rumour, surely it would be everywhere if it was true not just a littlw bit and there! Would love it to be true! But i doubt it is! :-( {Ed025's Note - thats what i think..

Agree0 Disagree0

So, has anyone heard this great exclusive yet then??

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly, can I make it clear that I believe he is just saying this to boost his ratings BUT even though he has never been involved with Everton or Liverpool so can never be considered an "insider" on that count. Micky Quinn is a fairly big wheel on the horse racing scene so any "inside" information would be more likely to come from the racing world than Everton Football Club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't McManus still a shareholder at Man Utd?

If he is then that puts that one to bed, surely?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest, if you believe anything from Talk Sport you probably believe what you read in the Sun

Agree0 Disagree0

Potential, and happening=2 different things.be careful wot u wish 4.leauge littered with unfit and proper owners

Arteta did not want to leave.. the deal fell through at first because the gunners wanted to use bentdner as part of the but Everton wanted the money with no player exchange.....oh and we have to give real sociedad 10% as they have a sell on clause!!!!

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Would've taken Bentdner considering we needed a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you talking about, he said himself he went to see moyes and said he wanted to leave. Moyes said he wanted him to stay but respected his decision

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta did want to go, he said so himself on skysport news. He even said Kenwright and Moyes didnt want him to go. But he also said and I agree that it was the best for all concerned that he left, i.e. the club needs money, he wanted champions league. Personally Im disappointed but we have to move on and I for one wish Mikel all the best and every success, execpt when he is playing against the blues.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently according to Moyes, Mikel said if Arsenal were interested he wanted to go. The deal fell through when Mikky or his agent wanted 95k a week. Mikky then went back and took a wage drop because he wanted to play Champions League

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok hes gone now lets carry on supporting the boys that are left remember hes no ALAN BALL .

Agree0 Disagree0

10% to Real Sociedad, this will totally depend on whether it is a sell on clause for the life of his first contract or not. You find most clauses in contracts have a life span of some description.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no sell on clause and Mikel wanted to go. He had no intention of seeking a move away but when Arsenal came in for him he decided the time was right for him to move on and that it would be best for all concerned. He was right.

Agree0 Disagree0

We had Artetas' best years but was absolute crap at taking corners. A good deal
for us ,now get over it.

Dale Jennings will b a blue in jan 'i woz talk in 2 his mum last week

Believable4 Unbelievable19

He hasn't long joined bayern

Agree0 Disagree0

Dale hasnt spoken to his mum in years (I grew up with him) because of personal problems she had, so this is proper lies.
He would love to play for Everton but after what happened when he was there I dont think he ever will.

Agree0 Disagree0

He went to Munich one of the biggest clubs in Europe for 1.5 mill, once again a good player slipped through our fingers
