Sissoko in talks with palace. Surely he'd be worth a one year proposal, with options after-similar to initial saha deal?
If he's on a free would of been better option than Barry
Cheeks
He only became free today as his contract was terminated arnie style! Happy with what we go me think Bazza will have a point to prove and will be out to earn a contract from us for next season.
He's free for a reason he's not very good so why waste a wage on him.
I disagree, he would not improve the team and would be warming the bench all season.Waste of wages for me.We have more than enough midfielders in our squad.
Ed do u think we will go for him? {Ed013's Note - No}
03 Sep 2013 22:06:47
we don't have enough midfielders who can pass the ball. have you not seen the first three games?
I agree with Ed
keep away
BlueWarrior
"He's free for a reason he's not very good"
He played for PSG where you have to be exceptional or there's not much chance of you getting in the team. I'd take Sissoko for the squad, would give us more options and then there's less chance of Leon Osman

Sissoko for free wouldn't be bad
Wouldn't be bad?
Wouldn't be good I'd say!

Thought prem teams could only loan 2 players per season.
Not that i'm moaning. More than happy with last nights transfers.
Coyb
Doesn't include non-English clubs.
Might be because one of the players loaned to us came from a club abroad?
Thanks guys
Sparky
It's 4
Svenny
I thought it was 4 but no more than 2 loaned from the same club.
Mr Blue Sky
Its 2 from the prem, and 4 all together
Think the rule is: From abroad - as many as you like; From same division: max 4 per year, max 2 from the same club and max 2 at a time (i.e. 2 full season, or 4 half season are okay). Don't quote me on that though!
4, 2 from the same league.

Did Felli hand in an official transfer request? Hearing he didn't but only went to Finch Farm as Utd had enquired and RM wanted to talk in person to him about possible move? {Ed025's Note - he did request a move ste..
He handed in a transfer request, but he did it for Everton's sake. Saved us a couple million apparently.
Credit to him, his request meant he waived him pay off and also helped deal that was stalling to go through, gave us great service and I genuinly belueve he loves the club just wantwd CL football
03 Sep 2013 13:21:20
No let's not try and give anyone who up rooted this summer any cudos. He went because he was tapped up, offered more money, the chance to win things. why if footballers have nothing real, plausible or genuine to say do they think they have to utter drivel. He went for his own as with any £$ footballer greed and the love of money.
Have to agree Felli acted with professionalism over the transfer he deserved the move after last seasons performances. If we had made it into Europe he may have stayed.
He wantwd CL football firstly, if you get to à top team in CL then the financial rewards are there
Ok cheers Ed.
The Boy done good . welcome back any time, which is more than can be said for management team who left with Moyes

Quite happy with the window although am I the only one that would take vic over kone?barry should help barks along and who knows what the fridge is going to do.bit surprised johny stayed-dont rate him much.more bothered bout the man than ball. Ed, thoughts? {Ed025's Note - it was bobbys call, so lets trust him..
With Heitinga, think it was more of a case that no wanted Heitinga due to his wages. Heitinga seems happy enough to sit out the year and earn his wage then leave on a free next season.
I'd rather have vic than Kone If WBA play him enough he will score a few goals for then
I would rather have kone than vic. But then again I would rather have a sore toe than a headache. if I had to choose.
Kone will get better needs games an
6mill for anichebe is brill for us
Give Kone time he'll come good i'm confident of that as whereas Vic failed to come good in 8 years of trying, so it's right he went and especially for 6m
How do chaps, Baggies fan here, First off is this Anichebe worth £6million?cos he either don't start for you or he, s bin played out of position for an awful long time, second Lukaku is a beast of a player, if you can provide him with the ammo he will bag you at least 15 goals no worries, All in all you have the best of deal anyroad up, but atb for the season and hope Lukaku keeps bangin em in for ya, cept at the Hawthorns that is. {Ed025's Note - anichebe can be great on his day mate, unfortunately injuries have blighted his career, but i think he will do well for you, his hold up play is great, hes not prolific, but he will set up goals as well as scoring a few..
03 Sep 2013 18:11:03
Waste of £5m on kone useless
Kone has only had 1 full game and 3 sub appearance for goes sake, its far to early to condemn him, he plays for us so get behind him and the team
I honestly think vic is dire - he just spends his time wrestling with defenders because that's what he thinks he's good at
Some players like yakubu were noticeably calm in front of goal when an opportunity arose - vic is the opposite
Hard one to call this, I've never been a fan of big Vic, but then again Kone has been pants since he joined, if that is down to Ramadan, injury, nerves or a mixture who knows? But, he will be used to playing with McCarthy and likely anticipate better so we should see an improvement, we have to give the lad time.
One problem with big vic is his attitude. If he's up for a game he is genuinely unplayable. But if he whinges, you feel like throttling him. Maybe regular games will help.
Btw. Kone is bakayoko only worse!
Would have kept Anichebe over Kone as well. Barry a better passer than Fellaini and for that matter much better tackler. McArthy a good acquisition but paid to much for him. Just what is this predilection with Martinez buying players from Wigan, the same players using his tactics that took Wigan down.
04 Sep 2013 08:42:34
With you there mudmud he seems scared to approach other clubs/look beyond players he knows well. Short sighted in my eyes as are his tactics if he thinks 60% possesion and no goals scored against WBA at home and Cardiff away is good enough. All de respect those teams but in pre-season it was all this wait for his exciting football, well haven't seen any yet. Ridiculous defending, yes plenty of that. Not convinced, don't think half the players really are and think January window is going to be ridiculous as clubs swoop in for other top players.I really do hope I am wrong, if I am I will publish and full apology on here but just see us drifting along for the next 10 games with these same limp excuses, same ones he had at Wigan. Fear a battering in our next match. {Ed025's Note - ridiculous defending??..2 clean sheets out of 3!...ridiculous statement!!
04 Sep 2013 18:59:35
Haha ed fair play, just that it seems a bit kamekaze at times. I hope we are going to be ok I really do. As you just have to wait and see now. I hope RM proves me wrong mate. COYB!
03 Sep 2013 10:37:28
Anything in sissokko psg let go heard he on way to US on a free ste46 {Ed025's Note - noting mate..
Would definitely take sissoko on a free think RM should go for him but can't see now that we have just signed mccarthy and barry!!
03 Sep 2013 10:31:24
I assume Lukaku will not be eligible to play against Chelski. I also assume that Kone will now be fifth choice striker behind Lukaku, Jelavic, Velios and Hibbo.
blueimp
Pure class love it. I will be laughing all night
You forgot the tea lady
Coopa1878
I can't bash kone anymore. Possibly in the top ten of poor buys behind claus thomsen. Believe it or not I'll still support him at goodison week in week out. But he does look poor for a player in his prime?
No, jelavic last
He didn't put them in order. Hibbo is obviously tied with Lukaku for 1st choice.

Any news on who bid for Barkley? {Ed025's Note - no one as far as i know avit mate..
I just saw on another site that there was a bid knocked back, but cheers.
I saw on another site saying 2 big unamed clubs asked about barkley but were told to piss off
Cheeks
Couldn't have been Manchester United . Moyes never seen him play!
Probably the mancs again, they just can't get enough of our youth.
03 Sep 2013 08:04:35
Hi ed. quite happy with evertons dealings last night minus Gareth Barry. (Personal dislike) but yesterday it was saying that Fernando would be a player we looked at if fellaini joined utd. Does this mean we will have £15-£20million to spend in January?
Jay Amo {Ed025's Note - you would think so jay, but it never works out that way mate..
03 Sep 2013 08:39:30
Other great news is we kept Baines!
That money will somehow disappear me thinks going off past experiences
Cheeks {Ed025's Note - we have not had any sky money yet cheeks..
We were apparently getting McCarthy regardless of Fellaini. Is that true Ed? We will have something to spend in january but how much remains to be seen. {Ed025's Note - yes mate..
Why not just use it to pay off the debt, save on interest payments?
We should save it for next summer to get a top striker in when Lukaku goes back to Chelsea, agree ed? {Ed025's Note - yes mike..
We should have about £30m to spend in January, but I'll bet even though Kenwright has stated Booby will get all of the money he generates in sales, we won't spend a fraction of that money and it'll show up on the books as 'other operating costs' and 'lawn mowers'

Did the barry deal go through ed. No confirmation anywere {Ed025's Note - yes john..
03 Sep 2013 01:25:49
Ed is it true that chelsea now have first refusal on Barkley? i'm not too certain on the Lukaku deal now.
Blue kaz {Ed025's Note - no kaz, we have him for a season, then he goes..
