us and newcastle in for tom ince? RaytheToffee

Believable2 Unbelievable14

Don't want him you could probably get the likes of sessegnon or Ruiz for the same price

Agree0 Disagree1

I hope not watched him on Saturday against Doncaster Rovers, he was lazy, didn't looked interested and when he did score was an arrogant little so and so. Waste of money in my opinion and a wanna be big time Charlie.

Agree0 Disagree0

As they say, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. "

Please god no, he is not for us, wrong attitude and also lazy as hell.

Degs

Agree0 Disagree0

His dad was a top level player so they R totally different types of Apple so U can't compare them

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see were he'd fit into formation. RM like a 3-4-3 or 4-3-3, no room for out and out winger. He ain't going to do work Seamus does and we have Kev, Kone, Spanish kid and Peanut to run channels up front. CB, CM and RB what the blues need. Can u really see him being happy bench warming

Seen all the new kits! Away kit is same as home but yellow with navy bands and the third kit is exactly the same but whitish grey with black bands!

Blueblood

Believable7 Unbelievable9

It's a fan made picture of the kits, they just change the colors of the home kit. So nothing official at this time

Agree0 Disagree0

Two years in a row that we've had boring away kits. Nike have had some great kits. Netherlands away, the French national strips, Galatasaray. Even the vertical stripe ones doing the rounds like the Blackburn away strip look ok. Why are ours so dull?

Agree0 Disagree0

No these actually r the kits! Seen them for real not a picture.

Blue blood

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh ok, thought you were speaking of the picture of the 3 shirts that you can find on twitter, witch is a fake. They just took the home kit, put a negative filter on it to do the third kit, and then a yellow filter for the away kit. But if you look closely at the shadows, you can see that they're the same for the 3 shirts.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've liked every Nike kit so far last seasons away strips were best sellers if the away kit is like the one seen on Fifa footy game it looks sound.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where have u seen em? On the new FIFA yeh? Cause that's the one that ate on there, the exact same, so it's not a guarantee they are our new kits! They could be made just for testing the game out or so on. And if that's the case then I think a lot of us have seen the kit about 2 weeks ago m8

Rich84

Agree0 Disagree0

The kit is boring, I thought Nike were going to make really nice kits but I was wrong, last years with the thick white band on the sleeves was horrendous, we may as well of got Primark to make them, no thought whatsover has gone into the design. I will not be wasting my money AGAIN.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 3 kits side by side are real. The guy was also blob on with the home kit. Don't be fooled just cause he paints them. The whole site is like that

Agree0 Disagree0

No it's not real at all. And the new away kit just leaked and is not exactly the same as the home kit, it stays blue on the top and become yellow Under the stripes (plus blue short and yellow socks). So the 3 kits is a fake as I said and explained why, and Blue Blood is a liar, he's seen nothing but the picture of the 3 fake shirts.

I think look at last night game if we keep all our players we just need to add a ch & cf. not convinced with either kone or jelly at the moment. I know strikers don't come cheap but I honestly think if we can get a 20+ goal a season man we could finish top four. I can't see it happening if we don't get another striker. Look at the players spurs brought in. Pure class.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

Tota agree. Centre half and another striker. But really happy with rest of squad. Thought naismith looked a different player. Players playing with freedom. Some team is going to be on the end of a big defeat this season

Agree0 Disagree0

I think an on form and fit jelly can easily get us 20 goals

Agree1 Disagree0

Defo and top 4 done

Agree0 Disagree2

I am only blue worried after last night's game, yes we played against some of the best players in world and held are own. The worry I have is even the worst strikers in prem would of scored their goals last night. High line and no pressure on ball is what got Wigan in trouble last season. Hope RM sorts it out.
Chesterblue

Agree1 Disagree1

I am another not optimistic with rm a the helm, after watching everton for nearly 40 years this year worries me one of the most as I don, t like the tactics 5 at the back, I watched last night and thought we was lucky at times that howard had a good game and coleman plus they real madrid just coasted in the second half with so many changes.

Was feeling good after Juve game thought we looked composed and the new formation seemed comfortable. but last night we looked Ill at ease, ok Real were a step up from Juve and it wasn't our first XI but we need a squad who can play that way and that doesn't seem to be done yet. Two weeks to go and our first XI is still Tim, baines, jag, buzz, seams, gibo, felli, pienaar, Barkley, keV and Vic. All moyes players. And in a moyes formation 4-2-3-1. So not sure if any progress has been made. I'd like to see Martinez put his strongest team out next week against Betis and play all the new and young ones against whoever In the last game of this Cup. Velios, Duffy, Gerard, Ross, stones, robles, - reassure me lads, we are getting better, right?

According to the Dutch press, they claim that Everton head scout Kevin Reeves was in the stands on Friday night to watch Toby Alderweireld in action for Ajax in their match against Roda.

The fee quoted in the article was 7mil euros. Would a very good signing in my opinion, one that would definitely suit Martinez's system at Everton

Believable7 Unbelievable4

There were quotes last season of 12 million up to 15 million for him, so I can't see him going for that low a fee.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, but now he is in his final year of contract. that's why the price is a bit lower.

My mate from Manchester is a united fan, says a lot of talk up there about felli going soon if cesc doesn't go, which doesn't look likely, and reckons they'll throw Anderson into the deal, a man who looks like he'll never get into the first team on a permanent basis, something I reckon looks likely, plus I'd take him, opinions toffees and ed? Cjtefc1993

Believable7 Unbelievable16

A Manchester fan from Manchester? Seems as unlikely as Fellaini an alternative for Fabergas

Agree1 Disagree2

I wouldn't want Anderson at Everton.

Agree2 Disagree2

Anderson the guy whos had potential for 7 years, no thanks he's like the brazil version of charlie adam

Agree2 Disagree0

No thanks. Not good enough & no pace!

Not so disappointed. Our team look good passing, not see who is AMC. Felli come too deep but he did defensive good. Offside trap organizing today poor. Jelly 's confidence not exactly come back even he scored. I feel first RM. need to add creative MC. Then he can really asses CF. need to add or not? Today line up make me feel RM. need to Jonny and Naismith. I feel Naismith passed but Jonny "No".

Believable3 Unbelievable6

jonny was awful he thinks he can spray the ball across the pitch with the outside of his foot and can't and dithers on ball, I wuddent be so bothered but didn't tackle anyone or win a header, he's useless

Agree0 Disagree0

Naismith was very good today, very committed and made some good decisions, I feel that he has a good influence on the pitch and can guide others. I know people are calling for a new CM, but I think Ross should be used more often. Remember we have MF, DG, RB, LO and SP that can play there.

Jon

Agree1 Disagree0

We definately need a CM and a CF plus a Heitinga replacement. We should be looking to bring in another 3 atleast. They need to be quality aswell. Alderwield, McCarthy and I don't know who would be a suitable CF. If baines or Fellaini go, we shuld sign a star striker:20-30m plus a straight replacement.

jelly one touch is back

Believable14 Unbelievable3

Is it because I seen a few balls he cuddent sort his feet out for, was was last season problem, shame but for all his trying he prob isn't techincally good enough

Agree0 Disagree2

I love this guy but was t convinced last night. Took the goal well!

Just watched 1st half the game. Kone looks lazy & off the pace & we look totally exposed at the back! I know we are trying to play a new attacking system but you got to be realistic about your opponents! Real look like they are going to score every attack. Kevin looks good & sharp!

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Kone is fasting that's why the poor sod hasn't ate for days

Agree2 Disagree0

Five at the back marking one striker, and they just ran straight through us. It would be fair to say I am not optimistic about rm.

Agree0 Disagree2

Fasting is surely only between sunrise and sunset - which is a long time of course during summer - but he can eat at other times. After all, it's fasting not starvation that he's observing. If anyone can clarify, please do.

Agree1 Disagree0

While fasting from dawn until sunset, Muslims refrain from consuming food, drinking liquids, smoking, and engaging in sexual relations; in some interpretations they also refrain from swearing. Food and drink is served daily, before sunrise and after sunset.

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd half better but they did take ronaldo off. Think they went bit flat after that! I've mixed views on jelly after last night. I love the guy & he took his goal well but other than that the confidence issues are still there for me. Would play him before kine thou any day! We r in preseason & he is fasting and people saying that's why he looks tired. Sorry but that's poor for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you couldn't eat for the whole of Ramadan you would die! He's probably knackered because he has to get up at a ridiculous time to get a cheeky nibble and has to have his tea at like 10 at night!

Agree0 Disagree0

You can hardly expect kone to be at his best having not eaten or drank for a good few hours before the game, ramadan finishes this week and I think a fairer judgement can be made after that

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2013 02:03:44
not sure how long jonny and distin will last now we're playing a mobile back 3 that need to be comfy on the ball

not good the first half goals

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Both Distin and Heitinga have shown they "have a mistake in them" - and have cost us matches by individual errors. I've lost count of the number of last ditch tackles, blocks, goal line clearances, etc. , that Jagileka has made to save us. Stones is very promising, but he - and Duffy - are still relatively young & inexperienced. Alcaraz does have a worrying injury record. Hibbert is a full back although he's played at centre back. Our U-21 and U-18 defenders have potential, but aren't ready at present IMHO.
Who would you have at centre back - either as a pairing in a back four or as a back three?

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez should not try to fix something that isn't broke in my opinion. His arrogant self belief in a system that took Wigan down and had them playing against relegation every season is no evidence that he is right. Added to that we do not have the players that have the mobility Martinez requires. He should suck it up otherwise he is going to have us playing like wigan.

Were being robbed that referee is so far up real's hole.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

They did create several good chances and we needed Tim Howard to make some good saves - it wasn't all down to the ref ;-)

We are so open to the counter attack, god help us if we were playing anyone one good!
Konehead is nowhere, lazy!
Jags is so uncomfortable In his position

L4 4EL

Believable5 Unbelievable6

That's one of the points of these pre-season matches: to see how the players cope with these new formations. Also to try out new tactics and to see which partnerships (be that two centre-backs, or a back-three, or whatever or wherever on the pitch) prove the most promising or effective. Avoiding injuries is paramount alongside improvement in the performances (individual and team) and building up of fitness levels. Good results are very nice in pre-season, but it's the match against Norwich City that's most important - and then moving onto the next match, etc. , etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Real Madrid are as good as they come you were talking about 11v11 and everyone of there players were bought for huge amounts of money that fact we put up a good fight is credit to us yes we were exposed at the back but let's not forget they do that against most teams also we created are fair of chances penalty should of had hit the post and had a goal disallowed and created a few half chances so I was pleased with performance and fitness levels Gibson made difference when he came on, on another point the commentator on everton tv is crap first of all he said Ronaldo has put everton in front then he said the 2 Belgiums were on different wave lengths when it was in fact fellaini and Coleman

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst there were a lot of plus points from that game (and it became very obvious very quickly we were not going to be allowed to win it) I think Martinez has a lot to answer for. I thought it was very disrespectful to Madrid not to play our best team as they did (as an evertonian I would have liked to have seen us go and win that game for pride). Also the high line was a very poor tactical decision, especially against someone like Ronaldo and I would rather not see a repeat of his tactical rigidity that sent wigan down (high line back 3 against everyone). But lots of positives (coleman, jelavic million times better than kone, gibson)
SD

Agree0 Disagree0

SD: disrespectful to Real Madid?! What are you on? It's a pre-season game ffs!

Apparently Arsenal have enquired today about availability of Super Kev, let's hope he still doesn't fancy going there.

Believable2 Unbelievable13

We mustn't let our better players (our "game changers") go unless we are absolutely sure of getting equal or better players to replace them. Considering the fee we paid for Mirallas, I doubt we'd get someone suitable for two or three times that now.
