OK ed travelled to Merseyside over the weekend and a bit of chat round the pubs. lot of people saying the board don't trust RM with money regarding transfers. Do you think if we had appointed a new man in charge he would of been given money to spend? or is it that were total skint so it does not matter who is in charge. Not impressed with pre season form there's a lot of doom and gloom about. Fancy 2-0 to us at the weekend.
{Ed025's Note - i dont believe its about trusting the manager alan, its about not putting the club in a position where it is not viable for someone to want to buy it, they wont go into the red like most team are due to inflated wages, transfers and agents fees etc mate..

But I know for a fact having ties to a board member and through actual conversations that there is no desire to sell.
{Ed025's Note - maybe not at the moment svenny, but if we were in debt as well as having a dilapidated stadium nobody would touch us with a barge pole mate..

Nobody'll touch us with a barge pole anyway. There's been enough clubs bought to see we're not going to be one of them.

Svenny, I don't know who your source is but I, for one, don't believe him. The club' been up for sale for years and still no takers. We have to face the fact that we aren't an attractive proposition at the moment. Maybe when we're debt free for a while and making regular profits that will change, but until then we're on our own.

Its clear to see kenwright doesn't want to sell. I have heard on number ocassions that when someone is intrested he asks them for 50 mil straight up to see books.

BK doesn't want to sell he wants investors! Because he is an Everton Fan in charge of his team! Its like a toy for him! If it was a proper die hard everton fan you would tell the board to put some money in the squad and actually try and build on a good team! but no just talk utter rubbish about putting in a bid for players after they sign for another club for £4m less than they signed for that club for .Same old rubbish every season and we get fooled into it every season!

Ed025, didn't both Kenwright & Elstone tell the Kirkby inqury that the club WASN'T for sale?
{Ed025's Note - i believe they did mate but things can change very quickly in football as we all know..

Bill Kenwright has always maintained that the club is up for sale.Evertonians really do have to wake up and smell the coffee.Nobody wants us. We are not a viable or attractive proposition. We need a new ground to bring in much needed revenue, but we need a trading partner to do it.
That's the first hurdle. The second is to optimise the use of the stadium to make maximum profit and then, just maybe we'll be in an approachable position for prospective buyers.
