Let's have a go at the feel good factor type manager like utd, throw dunc in and try get them going, honestly we really couldn't do any worse, seen a stat today silva's teams are 1st hull, Watford 3rd and everton 1st when in charge at conceding at set pieces, obviously stuck in his ways and stubborn, it's not as if it's worked anywhere, no hope for this to be put on like, messaged 4 or 5 on last couple of days and only 1 went on, no probs if this doesn't love to All, life's too short.

I may be alone on this but Dunc is a big no from me, stealing a living at Everton, as are others, but Dunc for me should not even neanywhere near the team, I would certainly draft Alan Stubbs in as a defence coach, big Nev to coach Pickford, but a big no no for Ferguson.

No thanks, forget sentiment let's do this properly for once.

I think stealing a living is a bit harsh bignev. I’m sure he works hard for his living but agree that with results since he’s been around not being good enough something different would be welcome. Having Southall coach Pickford is a no brainer for me, why hasn’t he been drafted in earlier though? My goodness I could make a heap load of suggestions but what do I really know. If the club want to give Silva time then I’ll go along with it. Another expression for patience is long suffering. It really feels like that right now.

stealing a living IS RIGHT bignev,

Explain why he's stealing a living, so opinionated for such obvious lask of any real knowledge.

I would like to see Alan Irvine back on the coaching staff.

I'd have Alan partridge on the coaching staff at the moment.

If I were taking over a business (and I’ve had a few) then one of my first tasks would be to clear out the old boy network. Get young blood in with energy and a positive attitude, and a clear understanding of what I want to achieve.
Get the business running properly and at a profit, then sell it for a nice profit.

Everyone wants rid of the old boys haha no one wants rid of unsworth do they 4 pnts clear at top of table flying with 23s he's an old boy as you put it, cnt pick and choose u want rid of the old boys or u take people on there merit.

I’d take moyse back need that team ethic he brought and look what he did at West Ham we need the dogs of war back but he still knew how to play with flair he’s finally have money to spend.

It’s a business Johny, there’s no room for sentiment. As for Unsworth, yes he’s doing a good job. But how many have come through from that squad?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - how many have been given a proper chance though woburn?..

04 Feb 2019 22:57:27
The current manager has made it clear he is not interested in the younger players, if they might be good he sends them on loan. Bad management.

04 Feb 2019 23:22:26
Woburn it's not unsworth job to get them in the first team it's his job to have them ready and winning there league the other year and looking like doing it again this year means we have the best youth players in the country it's not his fault the managers dnt give them a go. It's not sentiment if there doing there job is it, go on let's sack all former players then let's get rid of the best manager in u23 football just because u want a clear out of the old boys get a grip mate it is a business and in business you hire people on there merit not who the used to work for.

05 Feb 2019 09:46:56
Johns don't be fooled that just because we are top of the U23 league that we have the best youth players. Many clubs loan out there youth players, and an awful lot of what you see are U18s.
By the way I recall when Kenny was given a go people on here were moaning he's not ready shouldn't be near the first team. You can't have it both ways.

05 Feb 2019 09:48:28
By the way, if you hired them on their merit, then most of them wouldn't be there now.

05 Feb 2019 10:51:41
Have we not loaned out our best U23s too? Williams dowell evans beni connelly? And he still produces table topping teams, so u want dunc and dave gone because there jobs for there boys even tho there both good at there jobs makes no sense at all.

Is there any point in any manager throwing in one of the kids? Especially if they are local boys, the crowd just make them a scapegoat when things aren't going well.
We haven't been in a position to give them a game under the last few managers as, in general, we have been in a right mess. No good throwing in a kid when the chips are down, that's the way most managers would look at it. Look at every team in the league and, although there will be a few exceptions, most youth players don't make it until they are over 21. Crazy but true, the way it's going we will never see another Rooney or a Gerrard come through so young in this league.

I don't see where our next win is coming from to be honest I think we are in as much mess as we have been for last 3 seasons just a different manager in charge, I know he is ex reds but go get Rafa he is world class manager, we won't get anyone has good as him in our situation without champions league.

The first thing that should be done is to ditch the zonal marking system he using then I think we will start to see better defending.

03 Feb 2019 23:36:35
Hope I’m right but I reckon we will get something from the city game, even a win. which I would hate because doing the reds a favour but we need it.

Apparently we should just get a bunch of former players who have minimal management experience to take over.

Hi guys well how can I put this do we sack silva or does he stay if we sack him who do we get if we don’t where is the next win coming from with his way of playing. my thoughts sack him if we give him more time we could be dragged down to relegation zone I have watched our beloved team last four matches no passion hardly any shots on goal passing well over ten yards seems difficult no confidence in the team, we all saying Man City Wednesday mmm read we could get something against them hold the back page Wolves we got demolished Huddersfield 1,0 win milwall lost Southampton lost all teams we should of won we have Man City Wednesday be same team same strategy so we’re does anybody think we may get something against them if they up for it I can see us getting a good hiding how many more games do we go before the board the fans open the eyes and say this is not working act now before it’s to late I’d be happy mid table way we going be near bottom silva out my opinion.

{Ed025's Note - its a tough call mate..

04 Feb 2019 18:06:49
My call sack him give dunc the job till end of the season can’t do any worse he bleeds blue he has passion for the club he would get the players motivated b very doubtful us being relegated so y not give him a chance lampard at derby doing ok gerrard. At rangers doing same big dunc knows a lot I’d give him ago.

Well Man United brought in an old player and look what is happening there. It is better than having a man who has never lasted in a job more than 13 months, yet we give him a long contract it is beyond me.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2019 10:29:09
Yeah Man Utd got in a former player but he at least has management experience (albeit outside of the premier league) . To be honest UTD could have have got anyone in to replace JM.

The problem there was that the players downed tools on the manager. They still have some world class players in the squad and the squad is largely from 2 managers. Our players haven’t downed tools. We have a squad made up of players from 4 different managers.

So we switch out the manger for former player and then what? We still have the same Frankenstein squad which is now being run by someone who probably has no real clue but the fans like him because he gets the club. The fans keep liking him until he loses a bunch of games on the spin say in a year. Then we’re calling for his head. Let’s then replace him with someone else. Eventually doing this constantly will see us going the way of Villa.
