04 Jun 2016 17:10:50
Where's he said that? Not on his Twitter.

Koeman is bringing his brother and fitness coach according to his nephew and Telegraaf Holland.

04 Jun 2016 18:09:10
His agent just said its done. Just payment to Saints now.

05 Jun 2016 01:16:07
Definitely need a new fitness coach. Under the last bunch the players looked buggered after 30 minutes.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2016 08:11:57
I agree Bluemike. I think a fitness coach is one of the most important changes if we are to compete next year.

04 Jun 2016 16:06:40
I know i'm jumping the gun a little, but i am landed. it looks like rk signing is imminent. And if we can persuade monchi as well, i think i'll buy a lotto ticket. They say great things come in 3s, hahaha.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - you're landed?

04 Jun 2016 17:25:51
Hope he picks his own football director if he wants one, imposind a football director on a manager tends to be disaster. Koaman should have his own man.

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Jun 2016 17:32:02
Landed is how we say extatic. got to admit tho i didn't think he'd leave saints. But their loss is definitely our gain coyb.

Agree1 Disagree2

04 Jun 2016 17:39:08
I think they already kmow whos going to be dof. Doubt rk would come if he didn't know who it is going to be.

04 Jun 2016 14:08:38
When's the fume going to start about us not signing a player for £80 mill haha the very next day after koeman signs haha.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

04 Jun 2016 15:34:55
i know mate, Koeman will attract good players too, can't see Vardy at Arsenal can you, weird one that, would have him here though but 75% reliability on pace at 29, bit of a gamble but worth it.

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Jun 2016 16:11:00
I think he will struggle next year pace is not going to last, and not an arsenal player.

Who would you go for Murff.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 16:17:46
Harry Kane with a dose of Deli Alli thrown in, never going to happen but I can dream mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 17:43:06
Me personally don't think there is a pool of players to choose from. Years ago there was loads now I can't think of many. Very weird.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 19:36:37
I'd throw a bid in for Isco from Real. We need to show now that we can buy whatever we want from Waitrose rather than looking for bargains in B&M!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - So who would Everton be looking to impress by spending a vast amount on a player they have no interest in?}

04 Jun 2016 19:42:56
That's just someone who interests me ed, think we have been crying out for a playmaker since Arteta.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 21:37:12
Do we sense just a tad of jealousy from Ed 002 here?

As RK not yet arrived (assuming of course he does) it is difficult to gauge whether he would be interested in Isco. Point is we can now shop at or very close to the top table.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 13:50:53
not everton related hope that's ok but I have just read that arsenal have triggered jamie Vardy's £20 million transfer clause with Liverpool also being interested but are unable to trigger the clause themselves due to not being in the champions league which is fair enough but surely if Liverpool want him they can offer more than Arsenal offer clause or not and then its up to the player where he wants to go. Does that sound right or am I misunderstanding the situation?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - that does seem right to me AL but im sure ED02 can shed some light on it mate as he knows about these things..

04 Jun 2016 14:08:09
so Ed 2 is a man eh mate, us posters have always wondered on this one, you gave it away there Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - as far as i know he is degs :)

04 Jun 2016 14:12:52
I think Leicester are in control when it comes to teams who bid for him but are not in the champs league. Liverpool, for example, can offer 21m as it is more than the clause stipulates but Leicester would be in their rights to say no. With Arsenal, and other teams who qualified for the CL, they have no choice but to let the player enter talks.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 17:17:55
agreed spudv but my point was that if Arsenal have already bid above his clause then anyone can bid over that so I wasn't sure why the article was saying Liverpool couldn't take advantage of his release clause because surely the clause would'nt matter as it had already been met by Arsenal and any bid by anyone else is going to be accepted by leicester as long as it's more or the same as Arsenal's.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You need to ignore talk of clauses etc.. The whole point of this is "if a team in the CL were to ..."}

05 Jun 2016 00:39:54
my point was ed if the team in the champions league paid enough to activate his clause then anyone could then bid over that clause even though Leicester don't have to accept thier bid they would be stupid to turn it down as it would be a higher bid and the player would be leaving anyway then its up to the player wether he wants champions league football but at a lower wage or no champions league which would be the case if he chose Liverpool instead of Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Youneed to get out of this "activated his clause" mindset.}

04 Jun 2016 13:34:22
Reports coming in that the deal is done!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

04 Jun 2016 13:52:44
GREAT! now for all the posts complaining because we have signed anyone for £40 million in the first week he's here. can't wait :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love it AL..

04 Jun 2016 13:33:11
He is coming he has called the coaching staff to tell them. This is on Southampton page versions off this. Saintdorset. Have a read his family work there and he has decided to join us.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

05 Jun 2016 01:28:08
His fellow saints fans also slate this lad, seems that he posts quite a bit of nonsense! Not saying RK isn't coming but I wouldn't take that lads word on it.

daily mail reporting that koeman has agreed terms after everton and saints agreed compo.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Jun 2016 11:59:14
Koeman has agreed Terms with everton could be named today or tomorrow all coming on news now at last even Southampton are saying it.

The next step is the appointment of the DoF

That would be very interesting and EFC sending a message of intent.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - monchi or overmars would be good lance..

04 Jun 2016 13:50:21
I hope the DoF is already in place, you would think any incoming manager would need the DoF's approval as their working relationship is going to be crucial to the club's success here on in.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont think he is though il postino, but a DOF is certainly the way forward and im sure farhad will be on the case and deliver the best possible mate..

04 Jun 2016 15:58:34
I would think if Overmars was a target as DoF then Koeman would only strengthen the chances of him coming!
IMO he would now be the favourite for the role between him and Monchi.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 11:26:51
Good few sites now saying we paid the compo and his last years contract out.

Just passing on what I've seen.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Jun 2016 11:30:42
Which sites mate. I've been on the echo and a few othe's and there's saying either negotiations are ongoing or we art allowed to talk to him.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 12:12:49
Well the reports of Koeman talking to Everton, Everton talking to Southampton are in nearly every newspaper from the tabloids to the broadsheets and it's also on the BBC so I reckon the chances of him being our next manager must be 70% now at least. However what are the chances of us getting Monchi?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 12:00:29
Oddschanger,

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 13:30:28
Southampton haven't given permission to Everton to talk to koemen yet all Twitter rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 10:02:04
I'll acknowledge this sounds unlikely before I begin but mate in Italy has said that Napoli are resigned to losing Higuian and are very keen on Lukaku and swap rumours are starting to circulate.

Even though Higuian is 6 years older all things considered that sounds like good business! Not heard anything in English press or anything tho?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

04 Jun 2016 10:23:20
He won't want to come to us. I understand the rumour Rich but I think its one of the more far fetched ones.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 10:26:03
I've heard from 2 separate people on the fringes of Everton that Rooney could be returning to Everton this summer. One even stated that talks have been going on for 6 weeks between the two parties. Could be a good move to bring on players like Barkley, and also help get Everton the brand stronger overseas once more.

Agree3 Disagree3

04 Jun 2016 10:51:08
To be fair I've heard the same rumour and posted last week.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is true that Napoli are interested in Lukaku but a move there is unlikely. There is no chance of an exchange for Higuain. There are no talks about a return to Everton with Rooney or his representatives.}

04 Jun 2016 10:57:38
Swap deals are very rare.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 16:04:58
I think Mourinho will keep him and not sure if Wayne wants to come back if i am honest.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 08:32:37
Reports on skysports last night said that utd are to sign ibrahimovic before the euro's for 1 year guess we can count them out of trying to sign Rom as they will have all the strikers they need in Rooney, martial, rashford and ibrahimovic.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Jun 2016 09:53:56
I think they may try to off load Rooney to us as part of a deal to secure Rom.

Agree1 Disagree1

04 Jun 2016 10:02:50
Is Rooney to Everton possible now?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 10:13:07
True, but I bet they will be sniffing next summer if we still have him. I don't mind too much if he goes. I can't stand the way he talks when he's on international duty. He's never once shown discretion and always gives the impression he's looking for his next move.

Don't get me wrong, I understand why most want to keep him and to be honest mostly I do too. But if the money is right, let him go and let's see if we can get someone who can score 20 goals and respect his employers a bit better than he does.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 14:23:09
Toffee ace agree with everything u said what is it with players from Belgium the seem to talk to much about there future at clubs when on international duty ie fellani mirrallas and Rom it must be in there DNA ace mate think Rom is gone but I wouldn't let him leave till we get a top class replacement losing 20 goals a season will be hard to replace because of every other club with money wants them as well.

Dutch press reporting compensation package agreed and now just personal terms.
Monday morning announcement?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

04 Jun 2016 09:00:40
Hope it's all true Mush, the main thing is we do everything proper and above board i. e. show respect to Saints fans and Southampton Football Club .

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 09:51:48
Ed when a club is looking at a compensation package what is it they are actually negotiating? Is it just a final one off payment or do they negotiate additional payments based on the success of the manager?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It would be a signle payment.}

04 Jun 2016 10:44:12
Has koeman definitely signed. a lot of media talk saying Southampton are putting up a fight.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Koeman has not signed with Everton.}

04 Jun 2016 00:00:30
Ed do you think moshiri knew arsenal wanted koeman so he jumped in first?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - that could very well be the case blueboy, he was actually being courted not only by arsenal but barcelona and a few other top clubs, he is very well thought of and if farhad can secure his services i think it will be a bit of a coup mate.

04 Jun 2016 07:49:53
If we do secure his services we could be in for a very special ride with this one.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree blueboy, i feel the best signing we have made for decades is farhad moshiri though mate, this guy seems the business..

04 Jun 2016 08:14:05
I mean the talk of koeman must of been going on when he was at arsenal, very intelligent man. I still can't take in what is about to happen at our club hopefully no longer in the shadows of our neighbours.
