My personal opinion is that moshiri is letting the season end, let's not forget he can take full control and bring people on next year.

So I think that as koeman only has one year left, has had 3-4 good seasons with Southampton that he will go for him. He will gets us to the next level with some cash.
It won't cost much to take him from Southampton as of the 1 year left and the wages probably won't be that much there either.

That's my theory anyway.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I expect Koeman to be offered the chance to make the move elsewhere in the summer of 2017 when his contract runs out. He is already aware of that and one other potential possibility, plus there is a real chance of a third club becoming embroiled in this. None of these clubs are Everton - and I think it very unlikely that Everton would be successful even if tehy were to make an approach. Southampton are keen to have him sign an extension.}

Hi ed forgive me for this but I must ask.

Are Manchester United monitoring koeman as a potential replacement (I don't mean this season)

I understand if you don't wish to answer

Appreciate your time.

{Ed002's Note - I think you are on the wrong page Dave. Try the Barcelona or Arsenal pages.}

A lot of people saying they think Rom should go. He thinks he's too good for the club. he wants to play CL football, even though he can't even take pens properly! And a couple of clubs he's linked with. one will struggle for CL and the other even less chance. I couldn't agree more! My missus has been saying it all season because of the way he minces round the pitch. And all I've been saying is "his goals though" you no what, she's been right all along! I agree with the other poster he came back from international duty thinking he's too big for the club. Let him go and take the money to buy players who actually want to play for the club. Should never of let Naismith go. oh and my missus for manager!

{Ed002's Note - {Ed002's Note - Bayern Munich have watched Everton's Romelu Lukaku on several occasions this season and Real Madrid see him as a possible replacement for Benzema - if they are able to sell him and cannot get their first pick. Manchester United has shown no interest nor declared any interest in Lukaku at this time. If the club are to look to a centre forward at some point he may well be one option the club look to in the future - but for now, nothing. PSG have had scouts watch Lukaku on more than one occasion and with Ibrahimovic leaving and Cavani very probably leaving as well they are working with some "agents" to bring in a couple of very high end players - and Lukaku is now an option for them - with the PSG head coach watching him play very recently. There is a significant dependency as to whether they will follow this up. There is also a dialog open with Juventus regarding Lukaku and they should be considered the fourth player in this matter at this time. Tentative Dortmund interest is dependent on (a) Aubameyang leaving, which he will, and (b) the cost being affordable for them, which I doubt it will be. For now, not a player in this saga. As for Chelsea, there are no loopholes or secret clauses in his contract that Chelsea can use to buy him cheaply nor are there any "buy back" or other clauses that benefit them in any way. There is still support for him from both his orginal player liaison chap who fought hard, albeit unsuccessfully, for months for Chelsea to give him a second chance after the original incident and from an ex-player who Lukaku has spoken to. However, there were two people at the club who were particularly offended and they would both need to agree to sanction a deal before Chelsea would make any offer.}

Will you ever reveal what Rom did, Ed? Must have been something huge.

{Ed002's Note - It is of no relevance to you.}

04 May 2016 14:49:27
Ed002: I accept that "celebrity gossip" is of no relevance to the ordinary punters, but it clearly is of interest (subtle difference to relevance! ) as shown by the amount of broadcast/ press media and social media that is devoted to it. On that basis, any salacious story about the original incident would have sped around the media at the time and been common knowledge by now. Whatever may or may not have happened, if it doesn't affect our player while at our club, then who - apart from the pruriently inquisitive - cares a jot?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what point you are trying to make.}

04 May 2016 17:13:40
"gossip" aside. Are we worried that his value may have fallen considering how awful he has been of late, highlighted in the semi?

The point Sid is trying to make is that while it has no 'relevance' to us, it is still of interest and we would all like to know.

I personally don't care what he has done, Lukaku is probably the sole reason we have not been in a relagation fight this year, I can't believe some evertonian want him sold, we haven't had a 20 plus goals a season striker since god know when, we shouldn't allow him to leave without a fight, we need to get a manager with a high reputation that might, be able to convince him to stay on one more season, if Rom decides not to, then I personally would wish him well, he has the potential to play for a regular champs league side .

@bluedanny
You say Lakaku is the sole reason we have not been in a relegation fight, I beg to differ.
You see he now strolls around as though he is doing us a favour, like we should be grateful that he is playing for us.
Like he has outgrown us and he's far too good to wear that blue shirt.
Well I think the likes of Dixie, Andy Gray, Sharp, and let's not forget world cup winner, yes world cup winner, Alan Ball, who once said, 'once Everton has touched you nothing else is ever quite the same' would put him right in his place.
He's not too good for us, we are Everton and he should be grateful he is playing for us, he should crawl to Goodison on his hands and knees and beg to play.
That Chelsea game, the FA cup when he scored that great goal and all the crowd were singing his name, it was deafening, the hairs on my neck were standing up for him, then he goes to Belgium and basically say's he wants to leave, well that was the day he told me all I need to know about him.
He has no clue what it means to play for one of the greatest clubs on earth, because that's what we are.
The sooner we get rid of the loser mentality the better.
Hopefully we now have a winner in the boardroom and he will see how we are geared up from top to bottom to NOT win anything. Hopefully he will see that we are semi final team at best, and he will show the club how to go on and start winning things again. Hopefully he will see what a proud history we have, and hopefully he will read what Alan Ball said and realise just what a fantastic club with brilliant supporters he has.

End of rant
By the way danny, I'm not aiming at you my friend, just this whole mess we find ourselves in.

If we finish in 11th we get 80.2million +52 Mill what every team in league get +50 mill if stones goes to Stamford Bridge and if rumours are true that moushari is given us 100 mill to spend so if we get all this money to spend then we should have 280.2 mill to buy new players.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - that might just get us yarmalenko shakey if his chairman has anything to do with it..

04 May 2016 07:29:47
That's about right there Ed. fed up of that despot running down our club. Tell him to Foxtrot Oscar and look elsewhere.

Agree6 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we should offer £50m for him then pull out at the last minute so they are stuck with him and have no money ace, the likes of him and raiola who thinks rom is too good for us should be given short shrift by the club, ranieri hit the nail on the head yesterday when asked what would happen if bigger clubs came in for his players, he said if they dont want to play for leicester then the club dont want them!, that works for me mate..

04 May 2016 07:44:26
It's the only way to go now Ed. I've not liked the look of Rom since he came back from international duty after making those comments. So yeah I agree. Give us your all or get your coat.

{Ed025's Note - right on mate..

Not all of that money goes towards transfers. There's a lot more to running a club then buying players. But I'm not going to pretend I know anymore about financing a football club than any other fan.

I don't no about running a club either but I would of thought that the money from other channels pays for the rest of the bills but if we did get the 280 to spend on players then yarmelenko shouldn't even be on our radar.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 May 2016 10:24:12
I think Yarmelenko and his attitude, (from what I've read) spells trouble, I'd steer well clear.
I also agree with a few on here, if Rom wants out, let him go, and give him a kick up the arse on his way out, WhoTF does he think he is.

Pretty sure the running cost of the club will have to be subtracted from that money, after all you don't think the revenue from goodison, sponsorship etc covers the cost of the club's wage bill.

I like the look of this guy but how often to players from the Eastern European leagues flop here, I remember at the time I thought Shevchenko was the best striker in the world but we all know how that one ended. I'd say sack him off and look at other targets, more trouble than he's worth.
