Hi Ed do you think Silvas comments are directed towards Everton as approach me? Normally managers who want to stay like wolves manager say no I want to stay here. Could we see a change after Sunday when Silva is at goodison?

Hey Ed 025 further to my post this morning about Usmanov and his involvement at Finch Farm, i notice that none of the usual rags have picked up on this story, which leads me to think that maybe there is not much in this story at after all, i see that on Panorama Special on Monday is not devoted to purely Everton but only a small part of it regarding Tax Havens and the like, so fingers x mate nothing to worry about.

{Ed025's Note - lets hope so mate..

prob mentions us from a few years ago, re the dodgy loans from earl and co. can't see usmanov and moshiri being that daft. or the FA not noticing any dodgy dealings.

It's hardly revelatory billionaires using business vehicles to avoid paying tax or spreading their in investments.
Perhaps they should investigate why there were water cannon parked outside the away end. at lyon for approximately 3000 blues.

It’s something of nothing I think, there was nothing that we didn’t know other than a gift sum of money, I think there just wondering like the rest of us have been that Usmanov could well be involved further down the line depending on his Arsenal involvement which on the basis of the last few months with offers being made for full control, Everton could be his route out, hence why MOSHIRI bought half the club leaving room for full takeover, weather this happens or not I don’t see any controversy over this transaction.

Just read a brief article (Telegraph online) that says Panarama are doing a two part investigation over who actually owns Everton. They are questioning whether Moshiri is doing the bidding of Usmanov, breaking the league rules of having a stake in two clubs. Any eds heard anything on this? Should be interesting to watch.

{Ed025's Note - i have heard some rumours that not everything is as cosher as it seems GB but not the details mate, the last thing we need is a scandal though..

Everton’s ownership and the alleged involvement of Alisher Usmanov, the Arsenal shareholder, at Goodison Park will be scrutinised in a two-part Panorama special,

The BBC has obtained documents pertaining to Usmanov’s purchase of a 14.58 per cent stake in Arsenal in 2007 through the Red and White investment vehicle that he jointly owned with Farhad Moshiri, who sold up to his business partner last year to facilitate his purchase of 49.9 per cent of Everton.

I'm sure we'll be fine. The premier league has already scrutinised and signed off the deal and the original money even if it was a gift, it isn't a loan so I doubt it can be considered usmanov's money.

Hi stig yeh saying on the Panorama site that this is about the offshore tax havens etc and that it is only a small part of the programme that is Everton related, so fingers x mate.

if i read it right they are saying that usmanov gave moshiri shares in Arsenal as a gift so couldn't of sold them back and it's usmanov who is our majority shareholder not moshiri which is just pathetic i was expecting it to be about jon woods who is as dodgy as they come but to me it sounds like let's try and kick Everton when they are down my question is why are they looking at us and not Man City who are constantly bending the rules with their owners sponsoring them for obscene amounts why because and I have always said it the media dislike us always have.

I've heard compensation package with Burnley has been agreed for Dyche. Whoever it is I'll be behind 100%, new manager deserves a clean slate and full support.

Maybe he's just what we need, he's know to get the best out of what he's got, any top manager will probably want another 150m to strengthen the team which I doubt we'll get. I know our signings aren't bad as they've performed at other clubs so if he can get them playing perhaps we'll have a really strong team. If he can get us safe and playing well then maybe we can have a good crack at the FA Cup this season.

i will be happy with dyche to be honest my only concern is the step up to a club that expects to challenge top 4 to win the league to win cups that's a massive ask to get us back to were we belong.

Don't think he'll be expected to challenge the top 4 straight away given where we are now. Would imagine he would have to put a three year plan on paper and present that, then would be measured against progress milestones within that.
