Still think we need another top striker with jelavic, someone like bent or adebayor. Shame we can't afford em

Believable13 Unbelievable8

We all know that Moyes plays 1 striker upfront and one behind him (attacking midfielder) - the AM role is full with Naismith, Barkley and you could say Felli. Main striker is Jela, and if he got injured we have Vellios and Anichebe. Vellios had a great spell in the first team last season and I believe if Jela got injured then we would be perfectly fine with Vellios. I don't care why anyone says, with a bit more experience Vellios could be a very good striker. Plus at £50,000 (that's what we paid for him) it's an absolute bargain. If anything we need to get backup for Hibbo/Neville and a RM maybe.

Keith EFC. {Ed042's Note - Amen to that

Agree1 Disagree1

Be thankful that we can't afford to take Adebayor - or someone like Bendtner - two "players" who IMHO act like they think they're the canine cojones, but are just a couple of lazy money-grabbing prima donnas.

Believable6 Unbelievable29

0_o He just had a loan deal approved with fleetwood in league 2........

Harris {Ed042's Note - he is obviously going to play for two clubs to further increase the shortness of his ban.... obviously....

Agree0 Disagree0

Go away!! Wasted 2 seconds of my life reading that rubbish!!

Tree Blue

Agree1 Disagree1

Never happen.... and if there was a remote chance it would, I would never step foot inside Goodison Park while that RAT wore our shirt..
Dave M

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think Barton is a Moyes type player, then you really haven't been paying attention. {Ed042's Note - we might as well bring in Dyer & Bellamy while were at it.

Agree1 Disagree0

lies mmmmm

Agree1 Disagree1

John Mocko efc -alias...............Joey Barton's agent!!??

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do the Eds even bother to show this rubbish? I'm all for free speech - and this is a rumours site - but here are limits to even that surely?

Some one please inform me on the situation or rumours of the takeover?? {Ed042's Note - theres no clear cut info yet... all speculation. If it was something serious it would rise properly.

My daughter used to teach in china at the school that Li Tea was a pupil in and she is still in touch with the head and apparently Li Tea is involved in helping the negotiations which have not yet been finalised but appear to be moving in a positive direction. Fingers crossed. {Ed042's Note - as my fellow ed would say, "hmm"

Believable13 Unbelievable11

That is the most rubbish ive ever herd - why would li tie be helping a billionaire take over everton. Stop talking rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 42, you need a couple m's in there mate, its more like "hmmmm" {Ed042's Note - Sorry mate! hmmmm, hows that?

Agree1 Disagree0

Yesss!! And I keep in touch my old headteacher as well!

Agree1 Disagree0

Dont you mean Li Tie?

Agree0 Disagree0

So much rubbish

Agree1 Disagree1

If you had gotten his name right and called him Li TIE, then maybe we could believe your story a little better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same here but i still believe there is a takeover or a investment on the way but it will take time

Agree0 Disagree0

Most people on this forum seem to write phonetically, so perhaps the OP thinks his name is spelt Te-A

Agree0 Disagree0

Wait, we had a girl playing for us called Li Tea? Shiiii

Agree0 Disagree0

My daughter was a TEACHER not a pupil and you have a NO idea of how big a star Li Tie is in china so why shouldnt he be involved, he knows Everton and the staff and works for the interested party. Most of your comments display total ignorance of the situation> I have been to China, have you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he have his daughter at a school.surely shed have a private tutor

Agree0 Disagree0

I've been and I still think your talking rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

TBF - I've heard similar and Li Tie is a massive name in China, he is coaching for a top team and he is very well respected - why wouldn't he be asked for opinion?

Anyway, if it were to happen, makes sense he'd be involved but as it happens - not convinced but no harm in hoping - is that how you spell hoping? i hope so :-)

Believable14 Unbelievable20

That's funny because he was playing for man city at wolfsburg. He must be a timelord

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree1 Disagree0

Well he only lives in Manchester and he knows Baines from the England set up !!!
Friggin person !

Agree1 Disagree0

Johnson is on tour with City, Baines travelled to Blackpool yesterday

Agree1 Disagree0

ALIENS! Definitely Aliens.

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw Messi in West Derby, well I was in West Derby he was actually on the telly! {Ed042's Note -

Agree1 Disagree0

You didn't see him so don't talk rubbish Mad john

Agree0 Disagree0

It may well be aliens, you only have to look across the park, some very suspect looking critters masquerading as footballers and a manager.

Although Everton's initial bid was rejected for Greek national Katidis, this was because it relied heavily on appearances. The ball is back in the court for Everton, the player has mentioned Everton in his tweets and is good friends with Vellios.

I look on here everyday and read what people put, Iam letting the true blues no that the chinese rumours is TRUE, dont no how far the negotiations are but this has come from a my mate who has just phoned me. he has a contact within the club. This is 100% true. Happy Days

Believable16 Unbelievable18

100 per cent true?, I'll believe when it happens. It's suspicious that all people on the Internet know about this
Before it happens, an people need too be quiet about the blue union {Ed042's Note - believe it when it happens, couldn't of said it better myself!

Agree0 Disagree0

Posted this ages ago, the deal will involve peel holdings and there links to the chineses super tankers coming into liverpool dock and the regeneration of that area. Have heard of the investment for a while but they will not take over..... but be a backer of the present board. {Ed042's Note - once again, i'd love it if it were true but ive heard nothing solid as of yet and i would prefer local invesment

Agree1 Disagree0

As you read what poeple post here everyday then you will understand why I am not convinced just becuase a contact of a mate says we are selling.

everton roar

Agree0 Disagree0

Never understand when people say "its true because a friend just text me/called me" if your friend is DM or BK, then its probably true. If it's drunken Ted who's just been chucked out of the Nags Head for getting too rowdy next to the jukebox, its definitely rubbish.{Ed042's Note - drunken ted is a reliable source dude.

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't want a Chinese takeover. Wish people would have the prescience to see beyond the childish notion that money, from any source, solves everything. You're talking about the club you purport to love as if it were a commodity. Championship / First division clubs acquire new overseas owners on a daily basis, 99% of whom have no links to the local community.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alot of people just like to shoot stuff down. But I think think this rumour has legs. Look at the facts we are searching for investment and have had a delagation in china for some time and developed links in the region since lie tie joined us and the sponsorship. Plus the key point that everton released the agenda for the share holders meeting stating that 4 members of the executive committee are stepping down and these will need to replaced. What I am suggesting is that any one investing would insist on being on that committee and now room has been made. Coyb

Agree0 Disagree0

No, money does'nt solve everythink but if it keeps our top players at our club and maybe add a few more top players most fans would take that and dont forget its a rumour site joey efc

Agree1 Disagree0

We've had people take us over before with money and it hasn't worked (peter johnson) the most important aspect is our great manager and the youth system. Don't want to buy success like city, rather earn it with players that love the club not the money!

Agree1 Disagree0

Money has run football from before the Premier League started. Blackburn 'bought' the title as you call it & ManU have 'bought it' many times by spending more than everyone else, as have Chelsea. What does it matter if you have 100million supporters willing to invest £1 each in the club or 1 supporter willing to invest £100million? {Ed007's Note - Man Utd won the league in 1967 and their next one was 1992, Blackburn won the old First Division in 1914 and their next one was in 1995 and Chelsea's wins were separated by fifty years (1955 until 2005). So any titles 'bought' have been in the current PL set-up. Before the Sly and EPL deal clubs had to find their own talent or bought players that were within the club's means, the bigger club's could afford the better player's now anyone can just splash their money around and chances are they will find some short-term success. Plus player's put their own personal wealth above the glory of winning a title/cup these days.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would anybody back this board? Grantchester and all his millions...!

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^^^Wake up mate, the players are there for the coin... If someone offers them more they'd be gone.... Pienaar did it and is now the prodigal son...

Agree1 Disagree0

Lets stand back and think about a take over for a minute. We all want to see the club we love back at the top of the pile, but at what cost to the club itself?

Lots of people on here and elsewhere have a go a blue Bill, saying he has no intention of letting go etc. But think about what happens if he lets go to the wrong person/people. Do you want loads of money in the club now, all of which is debt against the club for a couple of years of the club doing well, then the kind of disaster that hit across the park? Listening to BK doing a David Moores saying he made a mistake in selling and wishing it had not happened?

The fact is there are two types of investment in clubs at the moment, you have a couple of bored billionaires who have bought a club as a plaything, that is great for them until of course the current owners get bored again and move on.

Then you have the "mega rich" Businessmen/business consortium's buying clubs, why? The clue is in the name, BUSINESS! They did not get to be mega rich by losing money throwing it away on winning the league or cup, they did so by making profit. They do not give a s**t about the clubs they buy or the supporters, they invest to make money, how they do that varies of course but you can be sure that we the fans will at the end of the day foot the bill in higher ticket prices etc.

People moan that clubs like Nottingham Forrest are bought but we are not and want to know why? The answer is simple, the new owners are not Forrest fans, they bought it to make a profit. As a true fallen giant of the game Forrest are a great investment in their eyes. For around £10 to £20m invested in players they have a good chance of getting to the premiership and staying there, if they do that the value of the club goes up by around £90m with the extra revenue etc. They then can sell it and move on, and they will not care less who buys it or what happens to it after they are gone, so long as they make big bucks in the process.

Everton are not such a good prospect for them, we challenge for Europe on a regular basis, so realistically the only way to increase our revenue (and in the process our resale value) would be regular champions league football, for that to happen, besides buying the club they would need to invest in top players, who want top wages and a new ground. The cost of that would be huge, and the value of the club when that is done would perhaps not cover the investment made, thus they buy the Forrest's, Blackburn's, Villa's and Birmingham Cities of this world in the hope of making a profit.

The fact is unless BK can unearth another Abramovich or Sheikh Mansour with more money than sense who wants the club as a plaything then we are better off as we are. Remember, these people are not like us, we are Everton fans and would throw money at the club to win if we had it because we love the club, it is in our blood and our souls. They are not, if they put money in they want that money back with a big profit, they do not care about the club or us the fans or even about winning the league, all they care about is profit.

Be careful what you wish for, the dream of a new dawn could very easy turn into a nightmare for EFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chinese supertankers in Liverpool docks?

Supertankers can't get down the Mersey, they dock in Amsterdam and discharge to smaller vessels that trans-ship down the Mersey.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's 100% true about the chinese cos my mates been on the phone telling about seeing BK in his local chinese takeaway...

I give a week or two and we'll be moving back over to the americans are buying us and that Nike are buying us a player lol

Agree1 Disagree1

I'm slightly gobsmacked by WTG's post. Chelsea, have a ground they rent, whose tenure albeit for so many years its theirs. They'd won bits and bobs of silverware here and there but still they were never serious title contenders. They don't even compare to us in terms of success. But they're always on sky, champions league winners, London darlings... All through MONEY.
1985 we should've played European Cup Football, we should've been dominant domestically for years and in 1987 Man U had 2 less titles than us. I believe we deserve to be back where we belong and Kenwright won't do that selling our assets and us just merely existing.. I've been fortunate to watch my team win a European trophy and would like my children to experience that. If you don't have that ambition.... well you're supporting the wrong team... We demand nothing but the best...FOOTBALL HAS CHANGED AND EVOLVED I'm sorry to say EVERTON HAVEN'T, we've gone backwards... On a par with ASTON VILLA... They've won a European cup too. Bill got us out of a fix... He's bitten off more then he can chew and in my eyes overstayed his welcome....
How do we know it won't work until we try... There are 5 billion people in China, a global superpower. They invest billions in sport..The Olympics shows us that. I for one would welcome them with open arms... The Key to our success lays within a redevelopment of the old Lady or dare I say a new ground... That is something Bill Kenwright and I do agree on.
NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB
EVEN " BILL THE BIGGEST EVERTONIAN KENWRIGHT"
