Just seen whilst checking rumours that pienaar will be back at the end of week fee is around 5 million so all we need now is a couple more players then we can push on up the league. COYB IMWT IMIT

More players, who do you think we are City?
Agree1
Disagree0
I meant the players that look likely to come in to the club like pranjic pienaar donovan and rodallega
Agree1
Disagree0
Dont think we should be spending £5 million on a 30 year old.
Agree1
Disagree0
5m on a proven 30 year old, its peanuts (no pun intended) in this over inflated transfer world, hey we've just secured 2 strikers for 5.5m since January, why not splash what little cash we have on a sound signing
Agree1
Disagree0
Can't wait to have three over thirty superstars getting superstar wages on our books. 5 mill too much. Move on and spend it on someone else. 3 would be fair.

That's what everyone said about distan but look how hes turned out :) one of the best CB's in the prem

I agree distin turned out to be perfect for us and we already know pienarr is,so theres no risk really! as long as we get 3 good seasons from him i for one will be happy with 5 m
Agree1
Disagree0
Pienaar is well worth 5m. He is vital to the way Everton play. His partnership with Baines is the best left sided combination in the League. Why gamble 5m on a player that will take time to adjust just because he is younger. And if he is only 5m will never be as good for us as Pienaar. If we get Pienaar and 1 or 2 more singings from between Donavan, Naughton, Pranjic, Rodellega, or Hoilett. We can really be in with a shout of Champions League spot if we can get of to a good start. {Ed025's Note - no argument from me mate..
Agree1
Disagree0
Wake up and smell the coffee, it's too much for a 30 year old, he only needs another serious injury and thats our gate money gone for the next 4 years.
Big Tommy, Litherland. {Ed025's Note - you can say that about any player tommy, clubs have insurance to cover these things..
Agree0
Disagree0
Plus if hadnt of got pienaar on loan last season i dont think we would of finished where we finished to be honest. 5 mill is cheap and hes deffinately worth it.
Agree0
Disagree0
Okay, £5 million is a bit OTT for a 30 year old, but that said we know peanuts does a job for us, and lets face it, if we manage a European place thanks to signing him, which we very nearly did with him on loan last season, the extra income will have more than paid the fee.

Moyes chasing Pienaar after securing Naismith deal.
David Moyes has confirmed he is turning his attentions to the capture of Steven Pienaar after completing the signing of Steven Naismith.
Â
Naismith arrived on a free transfer earlier this week and the boss remains hopeful of a deal that could see Pienaar returning to Goodison to further bolster his squad.
Â
The South African enjoyed a successful loan spell from Tottenham during the second half of last season and spent three-and-a-half seasons on Merseyside prior to his switch to White Hart Lane.
Â
"We're keen and I hope in time that we will be able to conclude that deal," said Moyes at a press conference on Thursday.
Â
Tottenham replaced Harry Redknapp with Andre Villas Boas this summer and Moyes was asked whether that change is likely to impact on a potential deal for Pienaar.
Â
"I don't know if it has or not," he replied.
Â
"I don't like talking about players at other clubs but I think the fact of the matter is that Steven has made it clear he wants to come back to Everton.
Â
"By my understanding that hasn't changed. My next job hopefully in the coming weeks is to get Steven Pienaar here as well."

Hearing strong rumours that Paul Allen is interested in Everton.
Allen is co-founder of Microsoft and also owns the Seattle Sounders, Seattle Seahawks, and the Portland Trailblazers.
In 2010 he was linked with wanting to buy Southampton when they had money troubles so has a keen interest in English football.
Could this be the one we've all been waiting for?

Hearing we could bid for Steven Pienaar in the next 48 hours as AVB gave Everton the greenlight to sign him at the right price.
Believable28
Unbelievable5
Has to be at the 'right price' as well. Pienaar has been great for Everton, and despite that he screwed us by pretending that God had told him to transfer to a 'big' club, there is no doubting that he has been one of our better players over the last few years.
But, if the Spuds want a fee of much more than £4m, I have to say we should look for a younger player or Bosman deal. Pienaar isn't getting any younger and we're not getting any richer. The last thing we need to do is pay £6m for a 30-year old and make him one of our top earners if we'll only get a couple of years excellent service from him.
Pienaar isn't the future.
Agree0

This one is actually believable as AVB likes younger players. [AO]

Makes me laugh at all these posters who never leave a name! Pienaar was sold as he was out of contract within 6 months. Had the club offered a similar deal as that signed by Arteta, he would've signed and we wouldn't be in this situation. Get your facts right! BlueTone
Agree1

Blue tone is absolutely right he should have never gone in the first place,if Everton had paid the right money he would have still been with us. Switch on guys he's the reason we finished 7th - he gave the team so much belief again and we need him. 5 mill for the next three years, I'll take that any day. Honestly Mr Polantia I couldn't disagree with you more, not about your rumour but about wanting him at our club. Waste of wages, the lad is only fit for a change as he hardly played for united last season.
Please ed throw some cold water on this one for us! {Ed024's Note - I don't think we want owen, we got rid of crock saha, we don't want another one, i don't think he would get in the team either

Whatever my personal view is about bringing Michael Owen into the EFC squad (I wonder if his fitness is even up to being on the bench as a goal threat late in games), I trust the judgement of David Moyes when it comes to bringing in players. He's found some gems at value-for-money fees in the past and had only a few duds.

Been looking around football websites and on a fair few (most notably TalkSport) we have been heavily linked with Oscar Cardozo. Apparently we're lining up a £16Million pound move for him.
I think its a load of bulls**t to be honest as we haven't seen that much money since Fellaini.
Although Moyes did say last year he wanted to see signs of moving forward from Kenwright before he signs a new contract so who knows what could happen?

Everton have apparently had contact with Junior Hoilett but the wantaway Blackburn man's wage demands could price him out of a move to Goodison Park.
Sky's Ian Dovaston Tweeted that the 22-year-old has been talking to Everton and there are others who are suggesting the same but that his salary demands were too high for the Blues and that Newcastle United are the favourites to land him.
Hoilett, who is also wanted by Sunderland, saw a proposed move to Borussia Moenchengladbach fall through last month.
Though the pacy forward is out of contract, he would command a development fee, believed to be around £4m, for Blackburn as he is under 24.
