Deulofeu on loan from Barca is a goer. His agent met Martinez after finalising Muniesa to Stoke last week (Deulofeu and Muniesa have the same agent). Barca and Deulofeu believe he will improve the most at Everton (regular games), and the loan (no option to buy) will be completed after the U20 World Cup.

Ramsey is actually a top player. Could be future captain material for us, but most fans wouldn't rate him since he hasn't flourished playing the last 12mins a week at the emirates

I'd just about take that 18. 5 Million a perfect replacement for Osman, Buy an attacking & defensive mildfielder & possibly a winger to suceed Pienaar!

I agree, Ramsey is a very good player. Was one of their best players, often outshining Fabregas, before the injury. Only gets cameos now, so a full move to us would be welcomed.

Interesting that because that wouldn`t trigger the clause.

Although if we where to lose felli to get a good player and cash would ease the blow.

Ultimately it was no the fee that put the gunners off it was the wages Felli wants to consider a move. Felli only wants to move if it improves his career and that includes moving on to a massively more lucrative contract thus Asenal lost interest as any deal after fees and overall contract would be worth £50 mil plus.

You may call Felli a mercenary but the fact is he will only move if its a to good to refuse offer rather than just jump ship to a ready made champs league team when he want to get there with us.

Any news on Victor Moses Ed? That was the best rumour of summer, so far IMO. Bluenose Will {Ed025's Note - i really like moses will, and im sure he will be surplus to requirement at chelsea, but i dont know if we will be in for him mate with the imminent signing of kone...that is, unless one of our forwards leaves..

Moses is a good player but I think he would cost too much including high wages. Plus to I don't think its a good idea for us just to sign players with the wigan link.

we need to be scouring the market to get the best options.

It may have been a better move for a young and exciting player to have been an option rather than kone. Moses can also play in a few positions which has always been better for us

I've heard that Kone had a medical at Finch Farm today, signing could be confirmed tomorrow.

I heard he had a medical today as well so I hope we hear something tomorrow.

Doubt it, the press would be all over it if he had.

Just as we heard he had one the day before, and the day before, and the day before, and the day before and so on. Unless he has quite severe health problems, I'd wait till he's announced and holding the kit before you think he's signed.

We must take the longest out of any clubs around to complete a transfer. presumably from the moment the figures are agreed with the club selling then a transfer becomes quite a vulnerable thing as its known how much it takes to discuss terms and considering our new press officer Dave Whelan everyone knows confidential business allowing them to attempt to poach last minute.

Might be another leroy fer situation.

I agree with the o. p. But the fact is its a strange business, and we need players to fill out the squad and agents will use that to promote their players to boost wages. its a scenario of Norwich and Swansea and other clubs in that bracket all want to be Everton that's there bench mark for success we can pay better wages than them so and agent let's them think we are interested so they are interested in the player in the first place because if he`s good enough for us then he will do them and they pay higher.

We are in the bracket of Spurs who want to be in the champs league although don't have there money so any player we go for gets linked with spurs so we then have to pay higher wages.

Its all a lot of spin the agents are the real winners when you realise how much they get paid compared to what they actually contribute to the sport.

Just seen we have been linked with Jeremie Aliadiere, what's going on?Surely we should be going after better players than this. I just hope all these names are a smokescreen and we actually sign some quality young players.

He was terrible, I can't see Everton being interested in him. I'm sure he is back in France playing and probably settled and ready to retire.}

Javier Saviola is available on a free why are we not in the chase for him surely on a two year deal he would be a better option to link up with Jelavic than Kone and would save the club £5m.
