Hopefully the youth team get a chance under RK ssome good players moving up. Love to see the young striker BREWSTER given a chance he looked like he has the pace and power and certainly knows were the goal is. He won the dallas cup with the 18's after scoring most of the goals.

Glad you mentioned him johnny. others put young goalscorers in and around first team, leko at wba and rashford at MU. he is actually one I've been hoping gets a look in because he sedms to have the attributes of a good striker. maybe a full season lian this season to see where he is at and a bit of experience.

Yeah. Looks a natural goal scorer. Left footed too. Hopefully watch this space.

Witzel apparently going to Chelsea now, I'm disappointed but only because I want us to start signing some class players but to be honest at 30mil Witzel is Way over priced. I would rather have a younger alternative.
Also Mata deal looks off, shame as I think both us and him will really benefit from each other, if martinez was in charge I would be panicking but I trust koeman.

Loads of twutter posts saying witsel is still on and could be announced tomorrow. The original story is from the sun and I wouldn't trust a word those persons say.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2016 07:08:17
Do Chelsea need Witsel? If Matic is going to united then maybe they do. That could then lead to Schneiderlin moving to us. Just my opinion like but could be possible.

Why is it as soon as 1 paper says it's off then it's off I don't believe nothing that rag prints let's just wait and see what happens.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Jul 2016 22:42:29
Chelsea have hijacked the Witsel deal app. and he's now joining them., . can't say I'm that disappointed, but we will see soon enough I guess.

If that's the story from express, it also says Jose is still the Chelsea manager.

Not yet soli. loads of twitter posts saying it's still a goer. could be announced as a blue tomorrow.
Chelsea story originates from the sun. and I would put any faith in tgem.

It's the s*n talking rubbish as per. I think it's hilarious the way the press are being used to try and upset our transfer targets.

I know Twitter isn't the best for rumours but mufc exclusive news is always pretty much bang on. They were the ones who let us know about mata in the first place and they have just tweeted that we are confident mata will be signing for around 25 million in next week or 2. If we manage to pull this off I will be ecstatic!

sorry to burst your bubble mate, but it looks like he could be off to Barcelona.

Agree1 Disagree3

05 Jul 2016 21:43:31
The Barcelona story is from May. Nothing recent.

Agree2 Disagree1

06 Jul 2016 06:11:55
The bookies get it right more often than not and at the moment we are 1/ 6 on! While Barcelona are 16/ 1.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - if they get it right more often than they get it wrong, they would lose money because most bets are on the favourites. Do people not understand what a bookie does?}

06 Jul 2016 06:49:18
Alls I meant was usually if the bookies say somebody is favourite it's normally because they are.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it used to be that way browner and with the big 2 it probably still is, but there are that many now with the likes of sky bet that encourage bets by making false favourites, roy keane was 1/33 to become the next everton manager a couple of weeks ago mate..its just a scam..

06 Jul 2016 07:14:49
Odds are compiled by the amount of money laid on the outcome in order to protect the bookie from making a loss if that outcome happens. So if Mata was 6/ 1 last week to us and 2/ 1 to Valencia and I went in and put £25,000 on him to sign for us the bookies would shorten the odds considerably in order to protect against a lot of high payouts. So the odds in essence are set by the punters when in an open market. The original price was set by the bookies which was around 4/ 1, which isn't such a nailed on price.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they also make false favourites though gray which will encourage punters to bet on things that are highly unlikely, its an industry that lacks morals mate and feeds off peoples greed..

06 Jul 2016 08:00:23
aah that's why I never win Ed ha ha, i'm a favourite backer myself

Banker here for ye (sigh)

£5 double Wales to beat Portugal and France to beat Germany, i'm due one.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - that makes germany odds on now degs.. :)

news is gathering pace that lukaku is staying. he is supposedly happy with koemans vision. [pay rise more like].

Believable4 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2016 20:04:28
Got his pay rise agent gets his fee happy days both have got what they set out to get more money let's face it there are not many out there now that care about trophys its all about how much money you can get in 15 years before its all over .

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 20:13:27
Kone head that's because it's a job mate always has been always will be. Let's just say you was a roofers labourer an he paid you £300 a week and the man down the road from you is a roofer too but said I want you to come and be my labourer an I will pay u £500 a week would u say no because you want to work for your boss I think not my friend.
It's always about the money mate.

Agree3 Disagree1

06 Jul 2016 10:32:23
Questionable reasoning. For normal humans with normal jobs that example works because we get paid regular amounts of money and a change in pay that big makes a huge effect. But once your already on 50K a week, what difference does it make?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 18:33:19
I don't want to be too negative (I'll leave that to degsy lol) , and obviously I don't know a) how Koeman plans to utilise the new signings and b) the availability/ money side of the transfers.

However I feel that we are being ripped off with this Witsel deal. From what I've seen of him (say about 10 games) he doesn't offer much more than McCarthy, he plays in a bang average league and if fees/ contracts being reported are correct, would consititute an absurd amount of money for a DM. If anybody has seen him more and can shed further light on his talent then I would be more than happy to listen as I do hope that he becomes a resounding success. I just feel like Schneiderlin would be a better option if available. He's a bit younger and has Premier League experience.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2016 19:26:41
He must have something going for him that RK has seen otherwise we would not be over-bidding for him.

What we must take into account is that sometimes a good player is unable to play the way they are best suited for, this could be because of the managers play style or perhaps the team mates he is surrounded by can sometimes have a stifling effect. We have all seen good players move to a team and become a total flop only to move elsewhere where they show top form again.

Thats what I would say has happened to Witzel and he will become a great asset if RK plays him right.

Either that or he is crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 19:32:00
I think we might all find out witsel will sign for less and be on less that the £120,000 a week being reported clubs like to add a few millon quid on to transfer fees it keeps there fans happy and when they see he wants x amount of wages they are only to happy to let them go as they see them as being greedy its a win win for both clubs we think we have smashed our transfer record and they have got rid of the bad apple both fans are happy. am i right ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 19:48:20
If he does sign it will be for an undisclosed fee the proper Everton way so we will never know.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 19:58:53
Looked very good in the Euro's, much more expansive than McArthy, has defensive steel with blocks and interceptions with significantly more attaching threat. Overpriced? Almost certainly but an excellent player and also a statement of intent!

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 20:00:10
Good replies lads and of course you could both be right and he could do well. I really hope he does, and he will get my support regardless, as does anyone who plays for the club I love.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 20:43:23
Got to agree Tommy. I've always rated him based off his reputation and Fifa rating, but never been overly impressed by him when I've actually watched him. That said, he does seem like a DM who is far more technically capable than most, and with McCarthy next to him making up for the fact that he's not the greatest defender, they could for a good team!

At the end of the day we've got to remember this is Everton, though, so we'll probably not even get him in the end!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 14:41:48
Everton are weighing up bid for FC Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi for approx 10m.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - That was interesst from 2013 and 2014 - Martinez.}

05 Jul 2016 15:48:00
Says in report that koeman wants a reunion with him as they worked together at rotterdam.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 16:09:29
All the players we are being linked with we had been linked with in the past 2 years with 2 exceptions mata and Schmeichel so just lazy reporting if you ask me get excited when you see them in a blue shirt this past week has shown me that.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 14:03:45
Hearing Witsel is now done and announced this aft, or more likely tomorrow. Mata is about 90% done and barring any disasters once he is back from holiday tomorrow should be announced early next week if not before. Looks like Rom is staying and Stones 50/ 50 but if thyy both stay only a keeper needed for me!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

05 Jul 2016 14:28:07
Depends what formation RK going to play. But i think we need another RB and one striker at the very least. don't forget we have lost Pienaar, Osman, Hibbo, hopefully McGeady. And we really don't want to be depending on Kone or Niasse if Rom got injured.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 15:07:10
Got some great kids coming through though Dave who look miles ahead of Ozzie etc, they will be hungry and having watched them a few times they look hungry too mate, defo a strike unless of course Niasse feels refreshed finally, Ron will know in 2 weeks so would not be expecting a striker for a bit yet, maybe towards the end of the transfer window

Sounds good Rich, hope you are right.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 15:52:51
Agree re the kids Murf and hopefully RK will give them a chance. But those i am aware of are mainly midfielders so still think we need RB and i'm not convinced Niasse will ever be 'refreshed' enough to make it in the EPL. Hopefully the real Niasse turns up this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 16:31:11
defo a RB mate, missed that one, some competition for Coleman

Im sure the same players will be totally different next season than how they played last season, Ron is apparently a beast meister in training, Ross should look slimmer and we could get 60 minutes out of Delboy, to be honest I don't want him playing that well until that stupid buy back clause Barcelona have installed has passed, he certainly has something and with the right manager could be classy indeed

Mata is the one for me mate, I hope this rumour is not the usual press garbage because he is quality

Im looking forward to the kids playing next season especially Tom Davies, seen him a few times and looks fearless and could be extra special, hope he pushes on now as Ron will be looking at them all over the next few weeks.

Lukaku about to do a u turn and agree a a new deal to stay at the club. Source daily mirror on line.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2016 13:22:02
I really hope he does. I think Everton are the best club for him, with his age he still has a lot to offer and a lot to learn. Given a couple of more years with us I honestly believe he would become that world class player that he thinks he is now.

Agree6 Disagree1

05 Jul 2016 15:08:18
I hope he does but IF he does and its a big if it shows that a) Money talks and b) Everton can match the big boys of the league to keep our best players. I like Rom barring his shocking touch his laziness and the fact he doesn't just shut up and play football! But if we can get him focused for 12 months and he can bang in 25+ we can start demanding at least 70m without it seeming a joke to some.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 15:40:23
If rom stays i can't see koeman putting up with laziness or not improving his first touch.

Some youngster from from league 1 linked to us for 1M.

Know nothing about the guy, appears to be no intention of letting him play first team if he signs.
Makes me wonder what will happen to the likes of Rodrigues who appears to be the forgotten man from Martinez' signings.

Hi all,

It's been a long time since I've been on but just wanted to pass on what I've just heard, apparently Alvaro Morata is being looked at and is quite a possibility the fee is approximately €25mil. Don't shoot the messenger guys as usual just passing on my info.

SydneyBlue.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Morato is not an option for Everton and his fee is a very long way from €25M.

05 Jul 2016 10:36:20
I was going to say, he's worth double that.

being linked with Robson Kanu.
I mentioed recently tat i thought he was a decent player but that he had been released from Reading and i didn't think he was good enough.

Reports suggest he let his contract run down so he could leave on a free. (if that's true in not sure i like it. )

Would anyone else take the lad ona free considering we have the money to go and buy proven prem/ Champions league players?

Believable0 Unbelievable4

05 Jul 2016 10:14:31
I wouldn't take him not to say he's not a good player just he's the type of player we would of been after in 2004 hard worker that may get 5-10 goals. We need a striker to get around 20 if rom stays or another player that could get 30+ if rom leaves. We should be looking at the best we can buy not what's free don't get me wrong if there is a great free player to be had i'm all for it just don't think he comes under that bracket.

Jermain Beckford springs to mind.

05 Jul 2016 12:26:50
i agree Alyn. not to mention the fact that signing him on a free would also taek up one of our 25 in the main squad which i think would be better spending on youths now over the age of 21 (Garbutt etc)

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2016 15:09:52
If we say Robson-Kanu then we may as well just appoint Davey Moyes and bring ossie and hibbo back! its a backwards move for everton and we have youngsters who offer far more!
