New to this so hello fellow blues. Just read that Koemans first signing to be Scott Dann for £15million probably just paper rubish but would be shocking if true or other backward quality players surely not new Everton?

Turned us down last year so don't want him and that is nothing to do with him being a season ticket holder for the s. e.

According to Phil Kirkbride Koeman should be confirmed in 24/ 48 hours compensation and discussing the release of the staff he wants to bring with him is what's holding the deal up.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2016 13:22:27
I really hope that is right.

According to the Independent at 13.09 his agent is now saying no deal has been struck.

They need to get this sorted out sooner rather than later, the longer this goes on the greater chance we have of being let down and end up with some no-mark in the job. How many of the names we have been linked to would want to join us knowing they were 2nd and even 3rd choice?

Agree2 Disagree3

05 Jun 2016 13:40:41
This is going to take time to sort out. The whole deal is complicated, compensation to Southampton, personal package for Koeman and release of staff he wants to bring with him and salaries etc. for those staff. Also I would expect Koeman would want to talk to Moshiri again to confirm plans. A lot of people involved so don't expect this process to be easy or straight forward.

05 Jun 2016 14:25:33
I should imagine they will want a number of people in place before any news conference is called confirming the deal, that includes in situ. Might be some time yet before we see him or the new management team.
I'd still prefer Lippi.

Agree1 Disagree2

05 Jun 2016 16:33:58
In my opinion lippi is not a great choice. I'n his day he was a ridiculously good manager but that day has passed. Even van Gaal admitted that new age football is a whole other world from what he used to do.

On top of that, it's not unusual for managers to take their staff to other clubs. I have faith in moshiri to get this across the line.

According to 'Football Insider'

''Everton sent scouts to watch Newcastle's Georginio Wijnaldum with a view to making a move for the attacker, according to a report.

Koeman is reported to be on the verge of a move to Everton to become their new manager and is thought to be a big admirer of his compatriot. ''.

Alan Irwin just reported on ssn, that RKs agent had been in touch with them and said "its a bit premature no deal has been agreed". Nothing goes smoothly with us does it? Always a last bit of drama to get the old apron squeaking.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

05 Jun 2016 11:26:32
He said the Dutch journalist who he talked to was premature for announcing deal had been agreed when it hasn't but to be honest I will believe we have koeman only when I see him being unvaild as r manager I know it's pessimistic but everton have got me like this.

That would mean Mr Moshiri putting up 35 mill, total paper/ twitter garbage, with the poss sale of Lukaku/ Stones i would hope and prey it would be nearer 200 mill COYB.

Hope so with amount of first team players going if it isn't 100m plus then we won't be near strong enough.

Osman, pienaar, hibbert, mattoni ( spelling) , Gibson, mcgeady can all be replaced with the kids browning, Davies, dowell etc because they have hardly contributed over the last 2yrs anyway. Then hopefully spend good money on Howard replacement, lukaku when he goes and another striker, a right back to challenge Seamus, centre half, 2 if stones goes and I would like to get a creative centre mid too, greedy yes unrealistic no.

It's being reported this morning Koeman will be holding talks with both John Stones Nad Romelu Lukaku in a bid to convince them to stay at Goodison next season now Stone's has wisely kept quiet about his future so I doubt anyone would have a problem with seeing him in a blue shirt again bext year (an everton one of course:) ) but has Rom's agent put him in a position where he cannot now turn back my opinion is he would have to mend a lot of fences but I would have him here next year what does eveyone else think?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - it will all be water under the bridge if he stays AL..

05 Jun 2016 14:16:53
If lukaku scores the goals again next season no one will complain. I'd imagine under Koeman lukaku wold become an even more dangerous goal threat for other teams because Martinez tactics didn't help him at all. He had no service at all for the second half of last season.

Morning eds. been told there's a snag with koeman, apparently we are giving him a 100m to spend but that includes the doe from lukaku once we've sold him.
Koemans saying it's a 100m to spend plus the money from lukaku
Quite a big stimbuing block if true.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - all sorts of stories like that will be bandied about over the next few days fanatic, take no notice mate its just the press trying to stir things mate, talks about budgets are done in the strictest confidence..

05 Jun 2016 09:04:30
'Rumour has it' RK wants pre Euros talks with RL and JS and persuade them to stay??

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if it were me 247 i would say.."if you are totally committed to EFC then you can stay..if not then on yer bike", i dont want anyone at this club that does not want to be here and give his all mate..

05 Jun 2016 09:19:03
Well to believe that you'd have to already know he was leaving 3 months ago and how much for to set budgets as moshiri announced in the match day programme at the time that he was providing 100m to improve the squad. I'd say it's nonsense as surely the papers would have got wind of an agreed deal if one existed, given the mouth lukaku's got on him.

Have to agree if you are not committed you can shift on out but not cheap! If people don't want to pay your value then you need to get your head down and graph and earn your right to be in the champions league not get in there in the coat tails of others!
