Personally I wouldn't be happy with Sturrage on loan or a fee. The guy is too selfish. I know good strikers have to be selfish but this guy is blinkered when he needs to look around. He frustrates me to watch.

As for lukaku I havnt seen enough of him to form an opinion, can't be as selfish as Sturrage though.

Either way, whoever we go for next I would imagine it will be concluded late on Friday 31st.

Spot on. He always seems to pick the wrong option. He is over-hyped because he plays for Chelsea.

robert earl is selling his shares in the club all 23% of them . The group buying the shares are going to give in-between 15-20 million to the transfer kitty . This is the same scinareo as at arsenal and kronke he did the exact same thing and he now owns the club and this could in the future lead to a full buy out ! {Ed025's Note - hmmm..

Believable14 Unbelievable6

Thats what i been saying they buy earl shares then buy woods shares then buy kenwright out as time goes on thats a good way to do it

Agree1 Disagree0

If this did happen, why would the new share holder put in 20million knowing the rest of the board won't put in anything.

Agree0 Disagree1

To be fair Kronek owns 65%, but yeah it seems to make sense ?? Lets hope its true....

rumour earl to sell is shares there wont be no takeover

Believable9 Unbelievable4

If he sells to someone who will put money in then who cares if its not a take over?! I would prefer that! Imagine Bill with money behind him to invest in Everton that would surely be dreamland or are there still creatins out there who look to pin everything on him. I believe good things will happen for our club and a generic buy out and genral selling our soul is not the only route to former glory.

Agree1 Disagree0

No mate...kenwright is a bad guy......briski

Agree0 Disagree0

How is Kenwright a bad guy? I personally would like the scenario above. Can you tell me another chairman who has basically spent everything he has on the club they own. He openly says he wants to sell the club, but he wont sell unless he knows the people taken over will move the club forward. Would you want him to sell to people like hiks and gillett who didnt know what they were doing. i myself wouldnt like that scenario. im gathering everyone else just wants kenwright out and they dont care who buys the club am i correct.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright has sold every asset we have .........clueless get rid......i would love to be in citys shoes....so would every blue...........people forget EVERTON ARE a massive club, and should be fighting to win the league.....under kenwrong it will never happen.....

Agree1 Disagree0

Some everton fans need to realise that we are no longer a MASSIVE club, we once were but not anymore, people are just useing kenwright has a scap goat because they believe we are a big club im as much of an evertonian as anyone, Kenwright sold all are asset so he did sanction the purchase of a state of the art training ground that he help pay for with his own money NO THAT NEVER HAPPENED DID IT. The players he has sold have all wanted to go, if they dont want to be here let them go. i dont want kenwright to sell to any tom dick and harry and i want him to do what he is doing and thats making sure this once great club gets taken over by someone who will take us back there. lets stop useing kenwright has a scape goat and start being realistic. to cap off we are no longer a MASSIVE CLUB we are a MIDIOCA CLUB. the quicker we realise it the better. {Ed025's Note - we are not mediocre mate we are still a massive club, the only thing mediocre, is people like you, who enjoy running the club down, show some loyalty, and be proud of your club..

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not a massive club.....oh yes we are, pal with fans like you we will have to put up with kenwright forever.......there is no prouder blue than me.......i give all the rs at work hell cos i go and they don't.......because everton are worth fighting for......with an attitude like yours we have had it........... {Ed025's Note -i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Your not getting the point explain to me how we are a massive club....... We are no longer a major player in the league..... Fans like yourself would have us going the way of pompey just to get rid of Kenwright..... We can no longer attract big players to our club like we once were able to...... To be a massive club you have to have the fan base abroad which im afraid we don't....... You have to have won something which am afriad we havent..... The quicker fans like yourselves begin to realise this the better we all will be.... its only you that is deluding yourselves....... and ED i am proud of my club but i am also a realistic person and i am proud no matter who owns the club as long as they love the club as much as Kenwright does.....

Agree0 Disagree1

.....do 1....check evertons history......fans like you make me sick...............briski........

Agree0 Disagree0

Briski..... check evertons history yeah we have won some cups back in the days when we were the top team but the big part of that is BACK IN THE DAY...... we dont live in the past fella and lets face it we are not the club we use to be and thats not down to kenwright......

there is no takeover on the horizon its the usual before the season hype and make belief time,a reliable source working at everton has let me know that all that has happened is robert earl has decided to sell his shares, thats why a board meeting has been called, there is an interested party willing to buy earls shares but they have stressed they are not intending to take control of the club or even pump any money into transfers etc

Believable13 Unbelievable11

Sounds quite plausible

Gazman

Agree1 Disagree0

No they are going to pump money into the club only for transfers not a stadium

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with that only pumping money into the club once they buy earl shares then they might try and buy woods shares after a while we all know what that means kenwright wont be the main shareholder then

Agree1 Disagree0

If you read the agenda for the Annual general meeting that was published which is a little more reliable that a mate of a mate, there are actually 4 people leaving the executive committee and people buying they shares. I do find it funny the natural assumtion made by the initial poster that no money will be pumped in as how would his mate know this the dont tell all the club shop staff the inner workings of the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

Who have they stressed this to? Your Ma!

hopefully the takeover is true, we all deserve a bit of look us fellow blues. {Ed025's Note - dont bank on it mate..

Believable11 Unbelievable11

Well that's positive of you ED! Maybe you should take ur own advice about how miserable that blues fans are!

Glen the blue. {Ed025's Note - there is a difference glen....what do you want me to say mate...that they are true?...you know as well as i do that they are not!....i dont intend to build up peoples hopes up, only for them to be dashed once again!!....get a grip lad..

Agree0 Disagree0

Just would be nice to get exited if we did get took over, transfer deadline day would be boss {Ed025's Note - it would mate...we can all dream..

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed's right, there is not even a whisper out there to suggest there are talks going on, let alone a take over about to happen. Even when talks may or may not have happened in the past one of the daily rags usually spouts off even when it isn't true! And when you think about it, the posts on here are in the same format of all the Winston Parks garbage, and started almost the minute the Ed's put a stop to it.

Personally I would say someone is having a laugh at our expense, if I am wrong then fair enough, they will announce it and that is the time to get your hopes and the debate to start, till then there is no point in everyone getting all excited just to be let down.

WtG. {Ed025's Note - well said wtg..

Agree1 Disagree0

Well said Ed, as you have said many times in the past - until it is announced on the official site, takeover is not happening , so just be excited about the season to come. We were all well happy with the last half of last season! COYB

Keep hearing different stories but is a tribunal setting a fee for Naisy?! I thought he was a free?!? {Ed025's Note - he is ours..and we got him on a free...someone is clutching at straws..

Believable4 Unbelievable13

No respect at Everton for other clubs?

Saints got Davis on a "free" but agreed to settle a figure for him, believed to be £800k to show his previous supporters there are some honourable clubs south of the border. There was some hold up to the payment with the SFA getting involved but that deal has been agreed between the clubs.

I have made this point on your site before when your supporters start talking about stupid high fees for selling your players and equally stupid low ones for buying new ones-see there is another stupid one about Rhodes again.

Yes, I am a Saints supporter and our club was recently showing an interest in one of your players, but I did not see one post on our site about how cheap we could get him. Normal stuff about whether he would be worth the money and whether we could get better elsewhere, but none of the disrespect to the player or his club some of your supporters seem to show.
Only reason I bother to have this rant is that I also noticed a claim about having the best supporters in the land!
Doesn't appear that way to me. {Ed025's Note - and who may i ask are you to judge anyone?..your holier than thou attitude makes me sick!, keep your bleeding nose out of our business, anything that our club does, has nothing to do with you...and as for honour, i think you will find that your low life supporters, were revelling in the demise of your neighbours misfortune, and were jumping with joy as the went into administration!!...honour!..you dont know the meaning of the word..

Agree0 Disagree0

Showing honour for his ex supporters don't make me laugh! You got sucked in by the person in charge of rangers in their current guise. You got scared he might be right and u'd owe him 3-4 million, so u offered him money green wasn't even entitled to trying to nip a potential problem. Don't have a go at us because u got scammed!!

Takeover = Liverpool fans taking over this site with made up posts because there is nothing interesting going on at their joke of a club. Investment = money our neighbours have spent on mediocre players from relegation fodder teams.

Believable20 Unbelievable2

Shut up you crying get.

Agree0 Disagree1

Just read an article about how their new yank owners have only ploughed 10m into the club since they bought them! All my red mates are going wild on fb,all want them out now as it looks like they are ready to offload Agger. Selling club now them lot,be lucky to finish in the top ten. Can't wait for the season to start,to watch us blues soar up the league and them deluded red persons suffer even more! COYB

Everton's offer, of a season long loan for velios,,might just tip the balance in our efforts to secure J. Rhoads, as the bulk of the cash would be tied to apearances.

Believable11 Unbelievable12

Have you got £8m+ to spare? No. Back to the bargain basement! {Ed025's Note - i cant see anyone paying that on a gamble!...he has only performed, at a very low level...he is playing for huddersfield!!...yes huddersfield for christs sake!!

Yobo gone good riddance he's off the wage bill so let's get another one in and start strong this year

Believable15 Unbelievable1

He wasn't on the wage bill - Fenerbache were paying his wages - and they were also paying us 1.5m a year to loan him (I think? Ed?) His sale makes not much difference to anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oof bit harsh that... Hes been out on loan for 2 years and has played 250 times for the club... What we needed at the time... I have and will miss his mad leaps and 'long searching' passes to the ball boys

Skysports news reckon man utd still want baines but won't go above 12 million and everton want 17 million. Also says we are preparing a new contract for baines. Hope he signs to stop anymore rumours.

Dixie 1878

Believable13 Unbelievable4

It seems to me that £12m is as much as you will get. Clubs know you have to sell to buy so will not pay over the odds for your players, especially those approaching 28. It is the buying clubs who hold the whip hand in these situations.
So, Ed., you may want to buy players like Rhodes and Zaha but they are with clubs who don't need to sell, and you have yet to bring significant funds in-so is my point about fantasy football getting through yet?? {Ed025's Note - if people dont want to pay our asking price, thats fine.. pay less for mediocrity, and leave us alone..

Agree1 Disagree1

If Man Utd want Baines then he's gonna cost what Everton want Baines is happy at Everton so he wont push for a move, end of!
Everton have other players they can sell which would bring more than 12m!
The Blue Spider {Ed051's Note - I would rather not sell anyone as we need are best players.

Agree1 Disagree0

Really dont understand how so many united fans feel they can just pay what they want and expect us to need to sell! Why leave the best side on Merseyside for the second best team in Manchester! {Ed025's Note - good point mate..

Agree1 Disagree0

I have two questions for this poster! Firstly, is he available and how much would he cost , because he looks really talented!....jmff {Ed025's Note - i think he would cost serious coin..

Agree0 Disagree0

His price is not big, 3.7 mil, but his young and can be loaned, he is very good i must say, but the problem is Shalke has an eye on him since Febr, no chance in my opinion - Cosmin -
