I am guessing Blackpool are wanting to get as much as possible for Ince before he becomes a free agent. Likewise, his agent will try and generate as much interest as possible in order to get the best deal for his client. There will be all sorts of clubs associated with him and some will be real interest, others will be casual interest. Only a few know exactly what is going on.

We have become favourites to sign Ince on ssn, this pretty much out of no where as Monaco spurs and others had been in battling for his signature, do they know something about the deal that we don't? Ed what's your opinion?

{Ed025's Note - i think if the price is right, and bobby wants him..then he is ours aaron, his roots are here, and if his demands are not too greedy it will be a great move for him mate..

With Walcott injured, Ince can grab a spot in Brazil if he joins the right club, he would do well with us and Barklay, as he seems to have said he wold "tear it up with Ross" could happen .

I reckon this rumour might have some legs. Ince has expressed an interest, would definitely get a lot of starts and Martinez's style suits his play. Plus he's got to see that El Bob is great at encouraging and improving young players. I do think we might just be a stepping stone to another club for him though. He's meant to be well cocky. And we'd have to put up with his dad mouthing off every now and then.

Great article on line ( Dail mail ), telling how Moyes brainwashed supporters and players into thinking the the top 8 was a great result etc etc and how Martinez has completley made him look the person he is. Also great to hear tv 606 on Sunday night and the Man United fans sounding off agaist him. He may make a good kit man for some poor team!

Anyway onto rumours etc, I have heard from an ex Southampton Player that we are really pulling out the stops to grab the Standard Liege forward and a midfielder.

Can you post a link to the article?

Moyes has been a person since he left for Manchester United but I am still grateful for him turning us from relegation candidates to top 8 finishes. Some people forget how bad we were during the 90's. What's your thoughts ED

{Ed025's Note - i thought he done a fine job for us cheeks, for which he was very well paid, his leaving and the way it was done left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth, but sometimes a change is as good as a rest mate, and in bobby we seem to have got a gem, so i think it turned out very well for us..

Totally agree with ed 025 there

Agree0 Disagree1

It's a good article, and something that I agree with. Well not the brainwashing part but the general idea of the article.

I'll always have respect for Moyes for how he turned the club around during his time in charge. But, the one thing that always bugged me was his negative attitude about club's prospects and ambitions.

Whether it was keeping a player, not winning away at so-called 'bigger clubs' or where we would finish at the end of the season, he was always negative in the way he spoke. If the manager believes that 7th is the best we can achieve, what does this say to current, or potential new, players?

Agree1 Disagree0

Not sure its quite fair to knock DM he transformed this club and with BK have set a benchmark that many clubs wish they could replicate, only a very few clubs have the big resources and more often than not many clubs overspend and crash! perhaps he was a bit overcautious but did a great job for Everton!

{Ed025's Note - i would be guessing eddy, bobby will decide that mate..

Monaco latest club linked with Ince, an awful amount of interest in a lad for a lad who didn't seem up to much across the road.Have you heard anything regarding McGeady ed?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - no mate sorry..

The difference between ince and mcgeady is that poeple are interested in ince because he's playing welll were as mcgeady isn't wanted by his team who would you rather have?

The 'Tom Ince' rumour looks strong guys, and I'm 90% sure is not a loan. Martinez will meet up with Blackpool officials this week to talk about a possible signing.

Hi Ed first of all happy new year to you and all your posters on here. I pointed out in an earlier post that unless everton have a replacement lined up that they should not sell jelavic. I would like to further ask evertonians would they not like to see jelavic stay at least until the summer and see if he can get his goalscoring boots back. I reckon he has just been frustrated at the lack of opportunity this season and also a lack of confidence which happens to all strikers not just jelavic. for me and you might think I am mad but on his best form he is one of the best finishers in the epl as proved when he first joined everton. I am a rangers fan and when he was at rangers he was lethal and I reckoned everton got him a lot cheaper than you would have done had we not been in the financial mess we were in. so my message is give him until the summer and a chance to get back to his best ;) sorry for long post but had to get point accross.

finally what do you make of the fa cup draw could be a tricky away game at stevenage but you should get through okay.

{Ed025's Note - for me james, he is a very good player when the mood suits him, when he first came he was the best thing since sliced bread, but has since gone a bit stale, i personally dont blame it all on him as our last manager had him running around like a blue arsed fly, in the end its up to him to show RM that he wants to stay by improving his attitude, as i feel he does have the ability, as they say, you dont become a bad player overnight....good luck to rangers by the way, im sure your quest to back where you belong in with the scottish elite will soon be realised mate..
