{Ed025's Note - i have been very busy with work coby but have not heard anything mate..

Chances of getting Sneijder ED? Or someone world Class. All the names going round, Eder, Guidetti, Meirreles all very mediocre/poor. Reckon Meirrelles was a backup incase we didn't get clevs, but the other two make it look like we are after a second striker. Cheers ed.

{Ed025's Note - sneijder will not be coming QB, bigger fish are interested, and he would have to take at least a 50% wage cut mate..

has this site turned into a free transfer site come on boys I think its not a bad signing tom is at least fit to play 30 games or more a season that's more than Osman and Gibson will give us next year his track record is not great but how many players have come here and improved there is more player out there that is free which I think is a good player is andre ayew and we have been linked any news ed.

{Ed025's Note - not in circles we would want konehead mate..

A lot of people on here seem to be turning their nose up at players because they're available on free transfers. Yes we need 2 or 3 quality signings (centre back, winger, number 10), but if we can improve our squad without spending money then that is surely a good thing.

In my view Cleverley > Gibson, Guidetti > Kone and Ayew > Pienaar. All these players would improve our squad but because they cost us nothing people don't want them?

The vast majoriey of supporters do not want Cleverly, unt and Villa fans are just greatful to see the back of him, now either 600000 unt supporters, 400000 villa fan and 400000 Everton fans are all wrong, or the real problem at goodison park is not so much Tom Cleverley, as the nut case who see him as the vital cog in moveing our club forward.

I not really a fan but will give him a chance to prove himself I think last season we really struggled for numbers if we bring in one or two free transfers and maybe two or three good signings it will be good business even though I don't rate him that much I do think he has bin made out to be a lot worse than people say now my only worry now is keepin McCarthy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - macca is a major worry for me as well coby, i have a feeling that if one of the big boys offers a couple of squad players and a bit of cash for him we might succumb mate, but i hope to god im wrong..

06 Jun 2015 20:03:08
Me also I think any of the top four would love to have him in their team same goes for stones must hold onto these two at all costs

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i second that coby mate..

Echo linking John Guidetti on a free transfer

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it seems to be a worrying trend these freebies tommy, i hope we see one or two decent buys sometime soon or i will be getting it in the neck about blue bill pocketing all the sky money mate.. :(

06 Jun 2015 15:24:24
i do remember RM saying that certain targets will be towards the end of the window, so, if we get a few freebies in and pick up 1 or 2 quality players at end of window then I will be happy enough

Even if those freebies include the likes of muntari, miereles and guidetti?.

I think that Bobby was referring to Lennon when he was talking about the end of the window. The general consensus amongst the press seems to be that Lennon wants to wait it out and refuse other clubs until we come in cut price at the end of the window.

I'd be happy with guidetti on a free might turn out to be a good bit of business with possible profit if sold on

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im afraid thats indicative of where we are as a club coby, when supporters are happy with free transfers..

After my post the other day about the concerns with McCarthy's contract, there is a worry that Cleverley could actually be his replacement! Which I know makes no sense but then again this is football!

No chance.
Cleverly plays further up pitch than James Mc, though McCarthey can do either. I think Cleverley is a decent signing on a free but James Mc is the future of EFC.
Season ticket will be posted back if we don't tie him down yo the improved contract he deserves

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse - we are now after liverpool reject Raul Meireles. He looks more like a hells angel than a footballer!

{Ed025's Note - really?...it just gets better and better.. :(

Nabil Fekir is being daubed a player we are considered as our new number 10 and would fit in well with current crop of playing group. Ed I'm not sure we would have the financial backing but surely with Lukaku, mcarthy stones & Barkley we would have a core of really good team if they can get him. I have read the Arse are looking at him as well.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - he is very hot property EB, we have very little chance of signing him to be honest mate..

Think you misread RM's strategy its actually Nab a Fu***r!
