Ed025 et al. On a scale of 1 to Roy Hodgson, how boring are the Romelu Lukaku rumours to you all?
Also, on a more relevant note, a friend from Germany suggested you might be looking at Bobby Wood (Hamburg) and Marcel Heller (Darmstadt) . Don't know how true these are, but he's usually pretty reliable so thought I'd pass it on. Worth noting Heller is available on a Bosman, decent player but would seem odd to me. Stop-gap Bolasie replacement possibly?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think we have all lost patience with rom CFC, he seems to be a law unto himself now and although i hold no grudges we need him to move on, those german guys you mention are not on my radar mate but thanks anyway as i suppose you never know..

06 Jun 2017 17:54:57
I have been saying this for months Ed, I would like to apologise to any fellow Blues I may have offended with any of my older posts in regards to Lukaku, but I am Blue through and through since the early seventies and no player is bigger than Everton Football Club, the fans deserve better than to to have to listen to Champions league comments every International break, get shut bring Michy Bats in part exchange and start next season with a settled and hungry squad.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no apologies needed baz..

06 Jun 2017 18:27:39
Hi Ed, the bookies have Utd odds on to sign Lukaku he has said he wants to win things? Hope he doesn't want to come back to Everton next year when we start to win things.

Agree3 Disagree1

06 Jun 2017 19:28:19
Whatever happens I hope Bill has the sense to put in a buy back clause and a percentage of any sell on fee just in case lukaku can't cut it at the top.

Agree2 Disagree3

06 Jun 2017 22:08:18
Sell on fee yes. Buy back clause for a guy who thinks he's bigger and better that Everton? No thanks.

06 Jun 2017 22:13:04
What will make me chuckle is if Lukaku warms the bench only scores a handful of goals and gets outscored by whoever we bring in as his replacement!

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - that would be good ST..

06 Jun 2017 22:32:55
I wouldn't be surprised if that is what happens Southern Toffee.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 23:33:05
Guys. He won't be bothered if, the team he signs for wins the league or champs league. That's what he wants. Trophies. If he gets a champs league medal but only plays 4 games good on him. There are no more le tissiers or shearers about anymore. Players are happy to be squad players and pick up medals. What we will see is if he is a flat track bully or a true great.

Agree1 Disagree1

07 Jun 2017 22:22:22
Smit666 I believe Lukaku has a massive ego. Don't think it would go down too well sitting on the bench. Even with the medals.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree NBTB..

08 Jun 2017 06:21:49
NBTB once the money's in our bank I couldn't give a monkey's where he sits 😉 but he knows if he doesn't perform at a big team like Chelsea he will be benched.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 16:15:01
Alright Ed my good pal haha.

Had enough of the Lukaku saga already me, but do you know of any outgoings in place? I. e. McGeady McCarthy Besic Kone and any of the kids being moved on he doesn't fancy?

Also I wish Aaron Lennon a speedy recovery but what is his current situation?

Thanks Ed

Everton the gear.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - aaron will be surplus to requirement jimbob but of course that will not be up for discussion at this time, mcgeady and kone will be shown the door and we will listen to offers for macca, the youngsters im not sure about mate..

06 Jun 2017 17:11:28
Can see McCarthy going relatively cheap. What did we pay 13mil? Be lucky to get that back due to him not fancying someone like stoke or palace. More than likely end up at Celtic for a "undisclosed fee" I think.

Besic is a strange one looks great when he plays apart from his debut remember that attempted flick pass hahaha. Just injured Far too often I'd personally show him the door aswel an recruit or with Davies emerging how he has been maybe Besic is surplus.

I've been watching the Kenny kid for the under 20s an the kid can play hope he gets his opportunity in ore season to prove himself.

Everton the gear.

Thanks Ed you Everton dictionary.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 19:49:41
Jimbob been watching under20s as well couldn't agree more with you Kenny looks like an excellent prospect perhaps he should of played more last season would had a natural RB in the attacking third of pitch as for macarthy I couldn't care less whether he goes lost patience with him last season with all the assing around with republic Ireland last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 14:58:09
It's ok lads, I've just heard the reason Rom can say he's agreed terms, is because it's with us. Him and RK have just been trolling us for the last 4 months.
So we can all have a good laugh.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

06 Jun 2017 15:15:15
Sky. Sports news wrote an piece saying he agreed terms with a English club challenging for the cl.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 15:16:32
imagine that can someone explain to me how he can agree terms with another club when as far as we are aware no bid has been submitted have we gave him permission or has the other club discussed it with his agent and that's how they get around it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im not sure bluey. if he has is that tapping up by the interested party?

06 Jun 2017 15:25:31
Not at all. Even Ed002 said that. A club can go to his agent and just speak to him to see how the player feels about a move, then if he's interested, they can then offer some sort of package of what the player could receive. If the agent and player verbally agrees to talks, then the buying club has to deal with the selling club over a fee. Sometimes it's also done with the selling clubs agreement.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 16:02:41
Let's face it lads he's not going to be with us next season, he has said it himself so let's wish him all the best, and move on with 100 + mill in the bank.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 16:56:41
That rules me out of swimming the channel then, get Michy Bats and cash and that will do for me, onwards and upwards Blues, couple of years time only one will be regretting the move and it will not be Everton.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 17:43:38
It's tapping up without a doubt.

Currently under both the transfer rules established by FIFA and the Football Association followed by the clubs playing in England if another club wants to procure the services of a player that is registered with another club they must speak directly with that club and not to the player or his agent. The individual player and the agent who represents him will only be brought in for discussions with the potential purchasing club once the two clubs have agreed on a fee.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 19:29:40
I won't wish him well and I'm not sorry he is going he has never endeared himself to the club and I look forward to seeing him sit on Chelseas bench next season Lukaku got away with a lot at us which he won't get away with at Chelsea let's get the best price we can and buy players who buy into what we are trying to do goodbye Rom we will miss your goals but you will never go down as one of our greats.

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 13:00:17
Alright Ed

Wondering if we still owe Chelsea any outstanding payments from when we purchased Rom. If so would this have any impact on what price he is sold an who too etc.

Or am I completely miles away.

Cheers

Everton the Gear.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would be surprised if we owe much or any jimbob, it would have no impact on any sale though mate..

06 Jun 2017 14:31:44
Cheers Mate.

Reporting Rom knows his new club now. Could be misinterpreted but I doubt it. I'm done defending him.

He has massively disrespected our great club in that statement. Why not have a bit of class as we all know he's moving on. Do it with dignity.

Everton the gear.

Agree1 Disagree1

06 Jun 2017 14:51:54
The reports saying Lukaku knows where he is going is missing one vital point No Bid accepted yet and if it's done why not announce it like the other pre contracts, Rom there is no need to talk about your so called next club until the time you need to learn to handle media better cause when you go for big money, you'll need to do it in biggest games also don't forget if it is Chelsea, there the same team who said your not good enough, thanks for the goals and good luck you won't score 25 prem goals next year mate not there as you will be rotated.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 11:45:01
What involves tapping up of a player and what are the punishments if found guilty, the reds have been accused by the Saints of making an illegal approach for VVD not saying there guilty but just wondering what the punishment is.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i dont know stef...but a 25 point reduction and a european ban would be good mate.. :)

06 Jun 2017 13:11:53
I'm sure they are already on a suspended ban for tapping up some kid.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 12:39:25
Yep I agree ed that is fair punishment lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 14:01:12
Well out of curiosity then, what difference is VVD saying his preferred choice is Liverpool and Lukaku saying today everything is agreed with another club.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - nothing kingo..

06 Jun 2017 14:18:48
I heard they had a ban for recruiting for the youth set up, didn't realise it was suspended.

07 Jun 2017 12:42:27
ed025. just when i thought you were getting on with us lot over on our page. ;)

{Ed025's Note - there was a smiley on the end ste, but of course you do know where my loyalties lie mate..

06 Jun 2017 11:09:49
Hi Eds,

Are the Keita Balde rumours true or more rubbish?

Cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - we have asked about his availability JMW but roma are reluctant to sell at this time, hes happy there apparently but i would not rule it out completely mate..

06 Jun 2017 11:41:13
His contract runs out in summer doesn't it?

Would be a good signing if we could pull that off. One of those game changer type players. Quick shift through the gears and ghosts past defenders.

A Bolasie, but with an end product if you will.

Thanks for the insight as always Ed.

Do you know why clubs interest in Anderson (Lazio) has cooled. He seemed very sought after by the elite and not heard anything on him for a while?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - not for sale at any price im hearing mate..

06 Jun 2017 12:23:12
Everything I've read suggests that Juventus are the front runners for Balde's signature. Other reports say Klopp has declared an interest. As we're looking at top top players, and rightly so, we have to accept that other teams will come in and beat us to it. We may have to be patient and wait for the big boys to conclude their business before we can do ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 12:02:22
Dont blame them, top drawer.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 12:16:46
I balde is Lazio too isn't he. May be mistaken.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - yes mate my bad..

06 Jun 2017 14:21:41
A year left on his contract from what i heard.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 10:32:56
Hi Ed 025 what's your take on this Rom latest, yes I know where I will be next season nonsense, I think this is so disrespectful to be talking to the media like that, our Club forked out £28 mill on him and gave him a chance to play regular football, and he goes around saying that stuff, the sooner he goes the better as far as I am concerned I want to see players who want to wear the shirt and turn up for us every game, enough said cheers mate, GuernseyBlue.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i know what you mean GB, i want him to go now and providing we get top dollar and its invested in new players then thats fine by me mate..

06 Jun 2017 10:54:19
I just hope we get top dollar for him, as he's not as good as he thinks he is, yes he sores loads of goals when he feels like it, but goes missing too often for me, cheers mate, GuernseyBlue.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 11:11:33
Agree GuernseyBlue, imho he gets plenty of privileges at Everton that I can't see him getting at his next club. There is no guarantee he will be a success at his next club.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 12:44:46
He could be saying that because he no, s he will be at Everton nxt season.

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Jun 2017 13:17:01
Good player but no class as a person! Seamus has more integrity in his little toe than Rom has in his whole body!

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 13:53:16
Exactly Southern Toffee. Can't wait to see the back of him to be honest. Then we can move on without him.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 14:23:56
I agree NBTB everything is all about Lukaku and he sulks far too often for me which shows in his game! We want players who will bust a lung for the team!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 15:04:16
shakey he said staying at everton is not an option.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the way hes acting i think im glad about that wirral mate..

06 Jun 2017 08:52:02
Got a horrible feeling we've been blagged why are kenwright and elstone still at the club.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - because they own a chunk of it?..

06 Jun 2017 10:57:27
Give it a rest Bill has been an absolute Saviour for our club, I hope he stays on when Mr Moshiri buys the rest of his shares, GuernseyBlue.

Agree4 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - im with you GB..

06 Jun 2017 11:22:40
I think his passion and loyalty definitely saved us in the past, but that doesn't mean he actually knows how to run a club, he's just a massive fan with money. I'm not a 'Kenwright out' fan, but if we want to actually move forward it is definitely time for him to hand over the reigns.

Agree1 Disagree3

06 Jun 2017 13:53:33
How old are you ander? Do you honestly not see what that man has done for our club?

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 15:56:09
I'm with Ander here, and don't patronise his opinion, certainly not based on what his age may or may not be. I'm not part of the "Kenwright Out" crowd either. Kenwright did save the club, but that was the best part of 17/ 18 years ago now. It's come to the point now where we can't keep letting him stay purely because of sentiment based on something he did a long time ago.

Right now, we have a billionaire who owns 49.9% of the club and wants to take us forward, I personally can't see this happening if the likes of Kenwright and Elstone keep adopting the "plucky little Everton" tag from the days where we worked on a shoestring.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jun 2017 16:45:04
I'm with you on that one big d, some posters on here have short memories, I go back to the 60s blimey that's a long time ago, Ander should have seen what we had to put up, with some of them in charge yuk, GuernseyBlue.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Jun 2017 20:49:29
I'm only 21 BigDunc, so I get that I might not have seen the 'dark days' before he came along, and I fully appreciate what he's done for us, but I stand by the fact that that doesn't mean he knows how to run a club and take us forward.

My Nan's a lifelong, die hard fan and if she somehow came into millions 20 years ago I have no doubt she'd invest in the club, but it doesn't for a second means she'd be the right person to run it!

I'm all for there being a bit more loyalty in football, but I'm not about allowing sentimentality stand in the way of progress. Arsenal (and in a far more short term manner, Leicester) are both examples of how allowing the club to stagnate under someone's control because of something they did in the past is not the way to run a successful team.

Diego Llorente linked. Young centre-back on loan from Real Madrid to Malaga last season. Bid of £14 mill accepted. Any news?
