u23 by a mile, hard work beats talent and those under 23s are a group that play together.

Think Danny mills on 5live last night during utd game made a great point.

Hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard.

Kinda relates to our squad. We have some great players who need to work a lot harder to win and keep the ball.

The first team would defeat the U23s imho, as, no matter how bad our first team are and how “together” our U23s are, the gap between the two levels is massive.

The U11's would give our first team a run for their money the way we are playing this season.

hard one to answer that i think a full u23s with the players out on loan back in there like dowell and robinson would be a very close game but right now the first team would nick it i think but it would be very close the passing and movement from the 23s is exceptional and they battle for everything.

eBlue: for all their undoubted promise, I maintain that the step up from U23 to first-team football is massive - physically, mentally, technically and tacticslly - which is why very few (maybe 1 or 2 every other season) have actually made it as regular PL players.

People talk about Gardiola Teams but the thing they have above all else including Talent is hard work and 100 percent effort. You don't give that in a Gardiola Team and you are out. For us Schneiderlin, Williams in particular do not put in the effort and that allied to loss of form resulted in them being the cause of quite a few points. Alardyce needs to look beyond his stubborness and prove he is not the same as Martinez or Koeman. Yes believe in your abilities but have humility as well. One of the strongest assets of good Management is the ability to delegate and that happens through listening.
