If there's any good comes out of today then it is surely the board must have watched that and thought enough is enough.
That's if their minds were not made up already.

Fdb might not have any premier league experience but stam and Bergkamp do. That post has changed my mind on Fdb if all 3 come.

Iv heard united no are giving lvg another year in charge wich has apparently infuriated mourinho. What do you think the chances are of him being our next manager. Eds?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - not great to be honest fozz..

07 May 2016 20:10:51
So no mourinho no koeman. In your opinion who will be evertons manager next season eds?

{Ed025's Note - pellegrini..

07 May 2016 20:28:57
Im with you Ed.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 May 2016 20:33:36
Ed25 I hope not, just not for me pellegrini sorry.

As for my choice, I just don't know who I would want, well I have a list but if there achievable is a different story.

Suppose it's about Everyons ambition, at the end of the day if you don't ask you don't get a 'No'.

I would put the wage on any offer to any manager first, make them look twice hahaha.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 May 2016 20:34:25
I worry about his ability to defend, could be out the frying pan into the fire.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2016 20:59:23
Say what you like about pellagrini but he's a proven winner and that what everton need right now. Thanks for the info mate 👍.

Winning the league once with City to me is not a great achievement, and when I watch City they seem to lack drive and real determination. We need a manager who gets that 110% from players and I do not see that from City. Also he does not seem to have a grip on tactics.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2016 01:17:00
Wining the epl is a massive achievement milom. Its toughest league in the world and he's just won the league cup and got them into the semi final of the champions league. Not to mention the great work he done with malaga and villareal. he's a top manager👌.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2016 22:56:12
He's always done better with smaller teams (Malaga, Villarreal) I think he'd do well.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2016 09:32:55
Pellegrini prior to getting the City job had never actually won a trophy correct me if I am wrong, not saying this makes him a poor choice though, but I personally don't think he is right for us, neither I think would Koeman, if we can't get Jose, then I would prefer De boar, he won't cost the earth, and he seems to be held in high regard .

07 May 2016 19:51:39
Terrible game, should have played the young lads today. Fingers crossed we soon get a new manager or next season we will be in the same position as Villa.

Leicester, 33 shots ( inc blocks ) against Everton tonight. Their highest total against any opponent in the PL this season. Says it all Really, Embarrassing for us.

Rm has got to go I would be suprised if they let him face the fans in the last game we just don't look like we want to be there.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

07 May 2016 19:27:50
I agree with you but who knows what the Board are actually thinking. I was one that thought he would start next season but after the performance against Liverpool and now this absolutely abject performance against Leicester who had already won the League and looked to me like they were not even in first gear, it is very hard to see how even Mr Kenwright can justify keeping him on board. It is not even worth it in my opinion again to keep him after today.

Agree4 Disagree0

07 May 2016 19:31:39
Bill kenwright the chairman should sack him, Bill Kenwright the evertonian should of sacked him months ago, Martinez is a absolute joke of a manager and it gets worse by the game pathetic. PS well done sunderland for staying up lol.

Agree5 Disagree0

07 May 2016 14:46:06
I've been informed that Martinez will still be in charge at the start of next season. Don't really know what to think of that tbh but I know the majority of fans don't want him anymore so it will be interesting to see what we do to ease fans hatred of RM

Also what are people's opinions on Stones? . For me I would rather loose anyone else over him as he really can be one of the best CB's in the world and I think he would be the most difficult to replace like for like. I'm pretty sure he still wants to go so I don't see how we can keep him.

We've got to start paying the going rate and putting are " star" players on top teir wages. We will always be a platform club unless we do. And missing out on players like Payet because we wouldn't pay the 70k a week needs to stop! We've probably got one of the lowest wage bands in the prem and for a team that aspires to break into the top 4 it just simply isn't acceptable anymore

I'm going for a 3-1 win for us today with dowel getting one of them. COYB.

The trouble is his and the teams inconsistency over the last two seasons has made a lot of fans lose faith in him, he has no back up plan and is stubborn and unwilling to change. This will not improve so he should be moved on. Mid table is not good enough, the semis have caused a distraction and may buy him time with the board. Not finishing high enough to qualify for Europe means the best players will want to move on and that we know is on the cards.
If this scenario carries on then it will only be a matter of time before we are back where we were 12 years ago and become relegation battlers!

Agree4 Disagree0

07 May 2016 17:10:07
If the semi-finals have bought him time with the board then all l can say is what a short term view that is. Today we play Leicester, RM is bigging that up as a tough game, what a load of rubbish that statement is. Leicester are already Champions so beating them today means nothing to them and everything to us. Lose to them and let's see the excuses RM comes out with. Of the last 3 games only the Sunderland one is important and that is to Sunderland. As already stated my Son was going to purchase next years Season ticket for me but I have told him to hold on until after Norwich. If as some suspect RM is staying then I am sorry I will not be. I will still support this glorious side but cannot bear to watch what this man will do to them.

Agree3 Disagree0

07 May 2016 18:05:48
The cups should not buy him time, winning a cup competition does not require an outstanding manager, but success in the league does, Martinez has to go, if the board don't get rid then I would seriously have to question the judgement of these men, we are getting beaten 2-0 by Leicester as I write this, on average Leicester are playing 4-6 passes and are in our area for a dig at goal, we're playing about 15-20 passes before we get near the 18 yard line, then end up going backwards, we are that easy to play against its unbelievable, please E. F. C board don't be conned into giving him another season.

Agree2 Disagree1

07 May 2016 18:31:51
I've actually got a bet on him to still be in charge, to dampen the disappointment. I would like to keep stones, but his heart doesn't seem in it, and if Martinez is still here, stones, Lukaku, Mirallas, Coleman and Barkley will almost certainly be gone. We're on course to become the new Villa.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 May 2016 18:49:21
Informed? By who Sir Loin? I find that a complete insult to the board. have you seen how the teams doing tonight against Leicester! We're a complete shambles and the team are not playing for the clueless 1 anymore and Yeah, we're losing badly again. do you really think the board are that stupid or insane to keep this idiot on at the club? Bobby fraud has totally destroyed this team right now and we're a laughing stock! I've been informed that he will be given his marching orders after the Norwich game!

I've been coming on this site for around 5 years now under a different name until the start of last season so I promise I wouldn't just post something like this for the sake of it.

It's just what I've been told by a close friend who knows someone of influence at the club. I won't say who as that would be unfair on my mate. It was around a week ago and that was the boards current stance at that time but who knows what can happen between now and the summer.

Personally I don't see how the board could keep him with the majority of fans wanting him gone. But as I said it's what I've been told.

From what I've seen this season and for the better part of the previous season are squad is full of average players.

For me if we remove players like McCarthy, Cleverly ( on the wing) , Kone, Gibson ( injury issues) , Lennon? and Oviedo from the starting 11 and replace them with real quality then I feel we would perform a lot better with RM still in charge.

How many more promising young centre backs do we need we already have Pennington, Galloway, holgate, and matty foulds we need a more experienced centreback plus 10 mil for league 1 player u having a laugh.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Everton will also be represented at Gent tomorrow to look again at Engels Billy. It seems that they are certainly looking at a Stones replacement.}

07 May 2016 13:56:08
if stones goes we need somone who big and strong not slim fast got jags for that anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2016 14:35:44
Need a Duffy, Shawcross or Morgan type player at centre half. someone who will stick their head in when needs be. someone who can attack a corner and defend a corner. Oh, and someone who will just hoof the ball into row z when needs be.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2016 14:54:41
Well Engels is 6 ft. 4inches tall so should be good for heading out corners etc.

07 May 2016 19:02:03
dont know why he is going for all these defenders because he is not arsed about defence. makes no odds anyway he will not be here next season. roll on norwich game.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2016 20:38:24
It's good defence coaching that is needed with the players already at the club. A good manager, good coach and sure Stones would stay. With Martinez still there the players don't see any chance of winning trophies, hence obvious why they want out. As I've said before they must do everything possible to keep Stones. The club becoming a laughing stock.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im not so sure keenone, i think john is a talented footballer but i have to question his attitude and commitment, before the offers of big money moves came in he was progressing wonderfully well then all of a sudden he became a defensive liability, ok hes young and his head may have been turned but i have to question his resolve and character and i dont want us pampering to players who think they are bigger than this club, that goes for our other alleged superstars as well mate..

06 May 2016 18:53:03
Hi ed. It seems to have been quite lately from within the club. No statements whatsoever from bk or moshiri. Moshiri doesn't say much at all. Do you think they will start updating the fans after the final game of the season. The silence is deafening. When do you think moshiri will start getting involved more.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - moshiri is very much getting things moving john, he has ordered a review of the scouting network and has approached the corporate world about investment im hearing and the ground issue will follow, there has been a long standing problem with everton and information to the supporters but im hoping this will be addressed as well mate..

07 May 2016 08:30:26
That sounds possitive Ed, cheers mate .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it is 247 mate..

07 May 2016 08:49:50
Thanks mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no problems john..

06 May 2016 12:53:23
ed25. Are you aware of how well, or other wise, season ticket sales are going, I know that there is a big discount for earley purchase, but many fans, at least by word of mouth, are delaying till the management issue is resolved, if sales have taken a big dip, would it not make seance to issue a statment re the clubs intentions?

PS if they said he was leaving at the end of the season, the up swing in sales would probable cover his pay off in three days.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i have no idea how season ticket sales are going JCW, im hearing that there is a shortfall but its not exactly critical at this time as lots tend to renew late anyway, the club wont be panicking though as support is only 14% of the revenue and while they would love advanced sales i dont believe its of great concern at this point in time mate..

06 May 2016 07:59:37
Ed just checked out the list of targets we are meant to be interested in and would have to say I would not swap lukaku for any of them . He is the first 20 goal a season striker we have had in years is 22 years old and under contract . Unless we can bring in a top class replacement we should hold firm the way we did with stones and tell the lad and his agent he is not going anywhere do you think this is possible or do youse in the know no different?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - i really like him as a player AM8 but if the guy does not want to play for us then i dont want him here, raiola has put it in his head that he needs CL footy and im afraid if he wants to go he will, im not sure on his contract details but we cant afford to just let him sit and stew so my guess is he will be gone come summer mate..
