Hi I have a question, does 6th get europa league?

And ed do you think honda would be a good signing? I don't know much about him or if he is any good? {Ed002's Note - 6th will almost certainly not get a EL place. Honda would be a very good signing.}

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Why wouldn't 6th place be EL? 3 teams, fa cup winners, carling cup winners and 5th place. if man city or chelsea win the fa cup wouldn't 6th be a EL spot?

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe that only if Chelsea finish 5th and win the cup the League EL position moves to 6th spot. All other combinations mean the FA cup runners up get it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes so we need Chelsea to win the Europa legue

Agree0 Disagree0

The only way we can finish 6th and get in the, as I still prefer to call it, Uefa Cup, is if Chelsea finish 5th and win the FA Cup.

But hopefully another team can worry about that as we are, as we were before the Spurs match, 6points off of 4th. We have Arsenal, Chelsea and a little team still to play away - my mistake I forgot Sunderland - us getting top 4 of course relies on us beating QPR, Fulham, etc, as well as not losing at the others. Spurs are 6 clear, Chelsea 7. We and Arsneal have a game in hand on Spurs, albeit against each other. Now Spurs are in deep problems - Bale out for at least another week, not to mention Defoe (3 wks. ) and Lennon (not sure how long), put that on top of Europa League duties. If we draw with Arsenal we go 5 behind Spurs, they have City on Saturday. I know we have Chelsea, Arsenal, etc to play as well, but let us deal with that as we have to get a result there to keep it going anyway. - and then there's Chelsea. A striker who can't score for love nor money, a Premier League fixture run in against United, a little team or two and one or two relegation battling teams. Not to mention a Europa League run still going and an FA Cup run still on. So they have it tough. Then Arsenal, who I think will get top 4. They have United and that's really it to be honest (in terms of tough matches). And us. A game a week, a squad that can match the very best and also a squad knowing that whatever happens with the other teams is useless unless we do our job.

So it's not all over boys. Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal aren't going to win the next seven matches, and if they do it won't matter as we play two of them so they'll finish us off. And I know we can drop points to, but that's the whole point of our position: we do our job and the other parts will fall into place throughout the next 7 games for us, but don't do our job and we have lost nothing as we never were favourites for it anyway.

Keep the faith. 7 games is plenty. If one team drops points and we win then we pull a minimum of two, if not three, back. It soon adds up, just you watch!

And we have Kev. He's finding his form where as the others have players dropping form.

That's the beauty of being underdogs: no one expects and you'll be amazed how everything falls into the right place when you don't realise it, so long as you do your best.

Finally, we also do milkyways better when we are off the radar.

Doesn't matter who wins the Europa league. As the poster above said, the only way 6th place gets Europe this season is if chelsea win the fa cup and finish 5th. In that scenario they would qualify via the cup and 6th place could get the remaining Europa league spot. I say could because I believe it is up 2 the fa, so they might still be able to give it to millwall or wigan! If chelsea win the Europa league and qualify for the champions league, then there is no extra place for an English team in the Europa league. Or something like that.

No, you guys are wrong. The reason Moyes wanted a cup this year was (aside from the desire to actually win something) because he was almost guaranteed a place in the Europa League if he got into the final. If someone wins a domestic cup and finishes in their league in a Champions League or Europa League qualification spot, the Europa League spot that comes with the cup is passed on to the CUP RUNNERS UP, not 6th place.

The only way 6th will get into the Europa League is if Spurs or Chelsea win the Europa League and finish in the top 4. The country will get two Europa League spots.

Moyes set for eredivise raid with fer alderweireld and chadli

Believable7 Unbelievable18

I'd take that all day long with Honda as well. Lose Fellaini and Heitinga and get those 4 in. Alderweireld can play RB as well. Would be a good summer if it were to come off.

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as i'd be happy with alderweireld moyes is looking for a long term replacement for distin/heitinga who would usually play on the left side of the two CB positions. expect someone like martins-indi or maybe amorebieta who are more comfortable on the left side. like lescott haha.

If we let fellaini ago but get these 3 in I would be pretty happy. What your thoughts Ed002
Cheeks {Ed002's Note - I don't see it happening.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont happen I'm afraid Moyes if he stays will sign a couple of players who we won't expect and maybe one that has been linked to us I expect Honda or someone like him to be bought along with a striker and defender.

Why would Moyes look for players if he's going; do you really think he cares that much about Everton? Or is he staying?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think a goal keeper is a must!
