08 Aug 2016 22:37:03
I said this yesterday he was actually at man city all day today discussing terms I don't claim to be in the know or anything but I'm pretty sure of this.

Can a player that we haven't agreed a price for be at another club to discuss a move? I don't think so.

Thingys is wrighty, we don't know if anything has been agree or not.

Wrighty he was there yesterday I wouldn't bother making this up I am getting no enjoyment out of it.

Everton bid 18 mil for bolassie Palace holding out for 30 mil and so they should! Now we've gone in with a low bid other teams will know what the asking price is and get in before us. This stinks of bill kenwrights transfer tactics to me. I've tried very hard to stay positive but I have had enough now this is becoming a joke!

Believable4 Unbelievable8

08 Aug 2016 20:32:22
Isn't that how negotiations start? You make a bid, the other team either take it or tell you how much he's worth to them so you haggle some more until you reach an agreement. Nothing to freak out about.

Agree8 Disagree1

08 Aug 2016 20:38:11
He's the kind of player we can currently attract and would improve us, I say pay up. We could hold out attempting to bring in unrealistic signings and by the time we realise they're not interested he could be gone.

Agree1 Disagree2

08 Aug 2016 20:40:11
They are not amateurs. I'm sure they anticipated this happening and there is one reason or another about how or why they are going about it in such a way.

They know what they are at.

No money just promises not kept Johnson part 2.

Don't believe everything u read in the papers.

Agree0 Disagree1

08 Aug 2016 21:20:46
Just a tad quick on your judgement there Mal1966. Hasn't been a competitive game played yet under new owner and your writing him off already. Doomed before he even starts eh?

I'm very happy with his first 2 signings of Koeman and Walsh. That's more than Johnson done and we haven't even played yet.

Cant cross a ball to save his life.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 22:06:12
Nbtb Think most of this stems from lack of activity in transfer market especially when other teams strengthing around us but the performances in the pre season friendly haven't helped to they seem to come up with more questions than answers but agree the 2 signings look good the gk is defiantly an upgrade on Robles and gueye look really good had lots of energy and passes the ball forward unlike McCarthy.

God are all our fans living in the real world its not going to happen over night or in a few weeks this is going to be a big job let's just get behind the team and the manager .

Agree4 Disagree1

08 Aug 2016 22:38:49
Yes spud this is how our negotiations work but do u see any of this happen with any of the big clubs no u don't it is handled properly.

08 Aug 2016 23:22:26
Exactly how I see it konehead. Forget who mentioned the microwave generation we have now! Thought it was a good to reference to how some supporters expect football to be nowadays.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 23:24:27
Actually Browner big clubs do negotiate in a similar way. Take Chelsea last summer starting with £20million for Stones. Another two bids came and they still failed. If we put in another two bids for let's say Williams from Swansea but like us don't want to sell. Then it ain't happening. Not the clubs fault really is it.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 22:45:20
Konehead right leave it to big Ronnie k wish it was Ronnie kray though 😉.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 23:52:44
I would sell Stones for cash and get Boney and Nasri on loans with options to buy but what do I know!

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2016 00:32:09
Totally agree with Konehead, people ask what i want for next season and answer is to actually enjoy going the game as last year was one of worst i have known. let's be realistic and begin the building (sensibly) of a PROPER football club.

Agree3 Disagree0

09 Aug 2016 00:38:52
Nasri? Ha! Pep Guardiola won't even let him train with the first team, he's so overweight

He's gotten shall we say 'a little rotund'

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2016 06:42:17
The position we are in now we ant afford to be haggling with clubs all the best transfers this window became apparent when the deal was nearly over the line yes ok Chelsea with stones last year I'll give u that.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Aug 2016 07:32:11
Yes Browner, I have seen other clubs doing much the same. Chelsea and City have been negotiating to try and sign Rom and Stones from us all summer. They value our players at one price whereas we value them at a higher price, pretty much the same as with Palace and Bolasie to be honest mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They have not been negotiating with Everton all summer - nothing like it.}

09 Aug 2016 08:56:22
Maybe not Chelsea with Rom then ed, just seen Chelsea have not made a bid as yet. But we have been lead to believe that City have been in talks over Stones since England crashed out of the Euro's.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not that long. The first approach was about 2 weeks ago - even though it had been known it would happen for many months.}

08 Aug 2016 20:07:36
Yannick bolassie now ha ha, is there anyone left.

Robbie Brady.

08 Aug 2016 21:07:09
totally agree, all the bull about all these players and nothing happening, easy to say give the boss 100 million to spend and f all players coming in, i could say i put up 100million also but can just do the same and buy nothing and put money back in pocket.

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 21:21:20
Still 3 weeks left.

08 Aug 2016 20:07:08
18m bid rejected for Bolasie according to a reputable newspaper. Going back in with a second bid. I rate the guy, would sort out our left wing, be a great signing.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

08 Aug 2016 20:30:48
I hope we get him.

1 massive problem there pal. no such thing as a reputable newspaper lol.

Agree2 Disagree1

08 Aug 2016 11:26:28
I'd definitely take Nasri, according to ssn citeh will listen to offers. I'd take him and bony, plus 20m for stones. If we could get iheanacho on loan too that's be great but I guess he'll be in peps plans and you can't blame him. I just really don't want Hart. I'll put my bottom dollar well end up with him in part ex. Mata will surely be coming to us now, why would he stay after mourinho made a fool of him yesterday. I'd like to see a bid put in for strootman from Roma. Martin's indi looks nailed on now after he hopped on a plane and won't be returning to Portugal. A. Williams apparently wants the move to us, however I don't think it'll be in the next week or so. I'd like us to put a bid of around 25m in for Fraser forster, wetherspoons koeman/ everton have an 'agreement' not to raid Southampton. they're a selling club and money talks. Coyb.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

08 Aug 2016 12:43:25
Nasri is class only issue is he is abit injury prone and he has bad attitude problems, I think Mata has to be number 1 target we need creativity.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - he came back massively overweight after a summer break. Seriously worry about a footballer on the kind of money he is that hasn't the sense to keep an eye on their weight. How dumb do you have to be to not think to check yourself on the scales every so often? Hell he could afford to pay someone to check for him!}

08 Aug 2016 12:47:03
I like your thinking TT, its time to make some decisons on the players we have and the ones we need! Look at what Swansea did at the weekend!

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 13:09:20
Was he as big as when we signed Mcgeedy Ed., or is that pushing it a bit, suprised, I always liked Nasri.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I seem to remember being told he was over a stone too heavy. In fact they said it was easily visible with the naked eye on a quick glance that he was well overweight.}

08 Aug 2016 13:30:43
He could quickly lose the weight with training and the correct diet. He could have been comfort eating from being left out of the France squad because dechamps despises him or the fact France lost the final. We need strength in depth and he would certainly add that.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the issue is not losing the weight, it is the fact he put it on in the first place. It shows a lack of self-discipline and intelligence plus motivation.}

08 Aug 2016 13:47:56
So glad I'm not a footy player then,
just got back from 2 weeks all inclusive in Spain.
enough said.

Agree6 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 14:12:57
Wouldn't want Nasri, no chance of Mata.

We need a keeper badly, that has to be the priority.

Agree2 Disagree2

08 Aug 2016 14:34:37
Don't want nasri has a bad attitude and I've never really rated him. Can't see what he would add to our squad. Would have bony think he be a good striker if we play two up front. Good at holding the ball up. Don't want Forster. Think he looks edgy and wouldn't fill our defence with confidence. Watched him play for England not so long ago and looked poor. Don't want hart either. Again overrated thinks he's better than he is. Maya would be a good signing and Ashley Williams. Not seen anything of the Dutch fella so can't comment on him. Just hope we get some good players in soon.

Agree0 Disagree1

08 Aug 2016 14:39:47
Forever in blue. I presume your not paid over 100k a week to play a sport for which it is highly important you are at your peak physical state. If you are, hats off to you!

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 15:42:05
to old, to overpaid, to much of a luxury and as ed001 points out no self discipline, not really RK's type as he already thinks we're to soft!

Agree3 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 15:44:37
To even mention Strootman is madness, he'ss seen as much football as Darren Gibson, Nasri fat, seriously wonder if anyone looks up these players or just picks them out of Panini sticker book.

Agree2 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 18:11:49
Nasri wouldn't be for me. he has serious attitude problem which prob. stems from all the money he's earnt over the last few seasons playing very little football. he's also very overweight just now which would support my personal views on him.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Aug 2016 18:26:58
Again just like with Mata, even if Nasri is available, regardless of his attitude and weight he would have teams in Europe above us in the pecking order willing to gamble on him anyway.
We need to lower our expectations and recognise where we are as a club.
WE don't HAVE ANY MORE MONEY THAN MOST MID TABLE PREM TEAMS
Sooner we understand that the better the atmosphere and vibe within the club will be. We signed Koeman and Walsh that's extraordinary for this summer. Small steps.
