The bloke in the Goodison Road chippy reckons Everton are hoping to land Ajax's striker Mounir El Hamadaoui (Moo to his mates) with a loan deal an option according to sources in the Netherlands.
With Moyesy desperate for a striker, Moo certainly fits the bill. The 27 year old, once on Spurs books, has scored wherever he has been played. Played 80 times for AZ Alkmaar scoring 50 times and whilst he has only played 26 times for Ajax, Moo has scored 13 goals. He is a Moroccan International with 5 caps and 2 goals.
It is believed that boss De Boar is eager to off-load the striker having not played the striker all season after a training ground bust-up in the summer where De Boer tried and failed to sell the striker to Fulham .
Moyesy knows his transfer budget is about 10 Euro's so he may need to look at the loan market but with Ajax valuing the Moroccan at around £2 million, it could be that we may cough up the asking price but it would probably mean one of the current squad leaving. (BLUEKIPPER)
Dont know how good he is! But looks like he knows were the net is.

I would think that just because hes great on a kids computer game doesnt equate to him being as good in reality. muppet

The guy knows where the net is, and there is no denying that.
Surely, I mean, SURELY we can afford the 2mil, Kenwright promised some money and surely Kenwright wouldnt even be stupid enough to lie to the fans.

Hi Ed, I'd be grateful if you could post this on the Banter page please. Last Sunday, 05.12.11 I ran the Liverpool Santa Dash for the Everton in the Community charity after the charity appealed for 1878 fools like me to don blue Santa Suits and run the 5km (3.1 miles) course to raise money for the charity.
Can I just say to everyone who may have thought about doing this but never got round to it, what a great laugh it was, even if you couldn't run for a bus, the pace is so slow and relaxed that anyone who owns a pair of trainers should be able to complete the course, have a lot of fun and also raise both funds for the charity and the profile of the club.
So come on, if you've thought about it, even remotely, you obviously want to do it and now have 12 months to train for next years event.
All the money raised for EITC goes straight to great causes in the area (check out the website) and helps disadvantaged people all over the area.
Thanks for your time,
Behind Blue Eyes {Ed025's Note - what a great post!!...after all the moaning and groaning that goes on on this site, what a sight it must have been to see all those blue santas running together!..i am ashamed to say i did not attend, but promise to atone next year...i would like to thank you very much for sharing this with us, and for your sterling effort in raising the profile of our great club!, and for helping those less fortunate than most of us...merry christmas

everton want to sign leeds and scotland
striker snodgrass
from the arteta money and snodgrass
would only cost 5 million
so moyes would still have
some money left.

I'd be made up because he's a cracking player but he isn't a striker.

Do you really think this much talked about money from arteta deal or any other deal is just sitting there .please lovely evertonians listen to your chairman he says were skint and he fights with the banks so any new investment in jan has to come from more loans or new investment .so please forget about arteta money sitting there its a myth simples ..but keep the faith and keep supporting .tp

Well, Kenwright came out and said there will be some money available, and all you can do right now is take the man on his words.
I hope there is money, for his sake, imagine him coming out and saying there is money, then back tracking, would increase the pressure on him for sure. {Ed025's Note - the problem is...it was not a specific amount! ....what will the fans expect?...£1m...£5m....£10m...or more?
Agree0
Disagree0
Sorry but I'd just focus on a striker, what we need most, can't believe villa snatched djalo he would of been a great signing {Ed025's Note - your right about needing a striker...but even if we get the best in the business, he still needs service, which is non-existant at the moment1
Agree0

Bills word is as much use as a one legged man in a bum kicking competition so no us blues fans should not take his word for anything
Agree0

Don't we also have the sky money as well as the players we have sold ed {Ed025's Note - provision is made for all incoming revenue mate, the sky money has been accounted for, so we wont be seeing any of it for transfers..
Agree0

Think he would,nt be the same player in the
premier league up against better quality
backs and certainly would not pay 5m for him 2.5m max
Agree0
Disagree0
Dont think he's worth the risk to be honest may not be up to Premier League standards. He's probably worth more like 3mil. But that could get us olic (and I think a goalscorer is a priority) but I dont see us spending anything at all to be honest.

Are you some sort of idiot? Why do you think all of the Arteta money is available??
